If he's wearing McLaren Mercedes stuff, then he's going to be a McLaren fan. If he is, and was trying to do something odd or get a SC, YOU COST US THE FUCKING RACE YOU TWAT. WELL DONE.
@kartcrasher faster? they are not. the cars are cornering better but they have less hp. so its even slower. better drivers? F1 is summit of racing & driving. there never has been bad drivers. cooler? thats your opinion.
@azapro911 You're ignoring cause and effect. He may well have been perfectly sane before and during his Mercedes Benz employment, but something his bosses did to him sent him over the edge. You cannot say what you did without being very ignorant of what his true mental status must have been like prior to this incident. I don't condone his behaviour in this incident whatsoever,... just so you know that I'm not taking sides.
@londongamer My comment was merely a throwaway line about the irony of what he did. Mercedes most likely did fire a perfectly sane, hard-working employee in unfair circumstances...but running into the middle of a Formula One race did not send across the message of protest that he wanted to put out. People will just think that he was a moron to endganger his life and the lives of drivers that had nothing to do with his sacking. Your point is very valid, but I also stand by my own statement.
Isn't it ironic that this race and the 2003 British GP that both had track invaders were both won by Rubens Barrichello? Conspiracy me thinks...not that they really affected the result of the race...or were Brazilian...
when the first speaker says 'I've never seen anything like that", the other one answers "Well, there was a lunatic once in Brazil" ---- but it wasn't in Brazil, it was in Silvertone, in 2003, when the Brazilian Rubinho Barrichello won the race! That same lunatic (a crazy priest) broke into the 2004 Men's Marathon in Greece and stopped runner Vanderlei de Lima, by coincidende, another Brazilian.

I know about that guy. but 2000 is before 2003 making murrays comments beyond the realms of possibility. I think he was referring to the incident in the late 70s when a guy ran on in brazil. im glad he was defrocked, wasnt he a child abuser? I know you dont believe everything on wiki but it looks awfully suss.
@lizprimeiraeunica lol how could he say something referencing a future event? this is from 2000, that was in 2003. just think for a moment okay, because i don't think that's possible. maybe i'm wrong.
@lizprimeiraeunica This is not the same guy. That a ex-employee of McLaren who protests like that after fire him. Look at Wikipedia. Cause this guy Hakkinen loose his lead, and Rubinho won his first race.
The german police was at least partly responsible for this desaster. This jerk had already made his way onto the track during the warm-up-session in the morning. The track marshalls arrested him and extradited him to the police. Since nothing had happened, the police only reprimanded him and released him before the race(!) - where he again ran onto the track. unbelieveable.
@Trek001 Even better, at Monaco in 1998, when the camera cut to a woman in a bikini on a boat, Murray says "And there's a lot of that about at Monaco, and err... (laughing) very good it is too!", then Brundle says "It must be something they put in the school milk around here Murray.".
@Montezuma07 Well, I love those new F1 car reveals where they show us the last year´s car with a one inch wing added on the top and the keep ensuring us this is the reason why they will be dominating this year´s championship. Nevertheless, all the F1 cars look the same nowadays. I miss the projects like the Lotus turbine-proppeled 4x4 F1 or the Tyrell six-wheeler...
I was watching it live! Barrichello won the race
