@upsidedownoffroad Paint is PPG (Made in USA) and when I was on the Power Tour I must have had 50 people a day ask what color it was. Back in 2007 when the car was painted GM had no real cool blue colors.

I'm curious, is an aftermarket cowl hood required to clear the 3" k&n filter/lid combo? I think that was only a 3" height filter. Merely curious, that's all.

The 572 is a tall deck block and with the stock 2 inch cowl hood the air cleaner just was rubbing. With the large cubic inch displacement and volume of air needed, K&N advised against going to a 2 inch element . The 4 inch Goodmark steel hood gives about 1 1/2 inches of clearance. Thanks for the comments... color is Winning Blue from a 2007 Mazda RX8.

"Dome on the bonnet?" You mean the cowl induction hood? Those are useful for 2 things. Getting more cool air to the engine, and giving added clearance for taller intake and carb set-ups.

Tyler at ATS spindles in Vegas helped design the suspension components. A combination of parts from Global west, ATS spindles, Helwig, Hotchkis, and Detroit Speed.  At 5500 rpm with the overdrive on the car handles perfectly at 185 mph.

well we don't really know exactly what pump gas means. They sell 100 octane almost everywhere but most people consider pump gas to be "premium" unleaded.

Last time I checked, 100 wasn't exactly availible everywhere. It's common in Europe, and used to be in Australia, and really you'll only find in California and the such, when it comes to America.

572s can be bought from GM. Too easy and not very powerful, not when compared to the 572 crate motors Nelson Racing Engines make.

what headers and exaust system

The headers were custom built by Lemons Headers in Ca. 2 1/4 inch primary tubes into a 3 1/2 inch collector and all of the primary tubes are equal length to about 3/4 inch. The exhaust system is from Flowmaster ( a direct fit 3" mandrel bent with Super 44 mufflers).
