Wow… the ending was CRAZY ASS EPIC… Can u please tell me how long it took you to play like that… O.o , some day i hope i can play like that.. which such passion with a silver-lining of violence… T_T
Hey Jason, if I were you I wouldn't bother commenting to these idiots who critique you like they are some expert version of Paco de Lucia. You have amazing play style and shouldn't need to defend it to some idiots.
Cheers, good luck and know that you are amazing. Haters such as Vincent are jealous sup-par rookies who don't know the meaning of true flamenco.
@MusicFanatic1990: I agree with you completely. These Spanish snobs posting comments like they know better is ridiculous. From reading their useless posts it appears that they think they are experts just based on geography. Until they can post themselves playing at the skill level of Jason they have zero respect and credibility. They were probably beaten and dropped on their heads as little children.
Hey Jason...I don't get how people have the balls to criticize your playing. Your fuckin awesome dude. I play flamenco myself but am no where near your level on it. I hope to one day play with as much aire and expertise as yourself. Keep on playing. Greeting from Brooklyn NY.
@jayhoc718 Think of it this way man, wiseman of music once said "you're no one till someone hates you".
There's always going to be someone with a strong opinion of the negative type towards super talent like this. Fuck em, let the rest of us enjoy it without those tools.
I saw a coment that jason strikes the guitar a lot....well....the true is that he strikes the fuck out of it.....but that doesn't mean that is wrong...and artist has to say something, and in this song I see it very well the golpes.
but well,as gerardo nunez said about golpes "is pretty much about the individual taste"
Hey jason you sound great. I was a flamenco kid for a long time, i even played for some of your wifes classes a long time ago (i thought she was going to rip my head off) im kidding. anyway, you sound fantastic. Kill em all buddy! p.s. remember seth? what ever happened to him?
If you saw my other comment on your bulerias you will realise I think your technique and obvious musical knowledge are World Class, I referred to the fact that even Paco was given constructive criticism and he learned from it..we can all learn from each other..if you achieve greater subtlety soloing, then you'll be approaching higher/Tomatito territory (my fav guitarist) you don't have that right yet though..regards, you're still one of the best in America, keep it up!
Sorry Vincent4500, I guess I took your comment the wrong way. Yes we can all learn from each other and I am always trying to better myself. These performances are from 2003. A lot has changed in my playing since then.
to translate what Franconeti said in Spanish, 'the guitar is not a drum, you've got to 'caress' it more and not strike/golpear it every 3 seconds. You must listen to music..otherwise very good..I agree, you strike the guitar too much..in Spain, when a guitarist does this he's referred to as a 'Manitas de Plata'..
Both of you can "caress" the guitar all you want. I will continue to play the way I play and if you don't like it then don't listen. I work primarily as a dance accompanist and this is reflected in my solo playing. Why don't you guys learn my fandangos and post yourself playing it so I have a clear understanding of what you are trying to teach me.
fantastic, your level of playing is among the best. Excelent piece

la guitarra no es un tambor, hay que acariciarla y no golpearla cada 3 segundos. Hay que escuchar más música, por lo demá muy bien
