My brother and I are one of the few lucky ones. We where taken away when it was almost too late. We both where adopted together and today we both are happy and healthy adults with loving parents. I now am a parent myself and I would never hurt my children!! Those that do need their heads examine because there is no good reason or excuse for you to ever put your hands on your children!!
I lived in a abusive home for 15 years, i tried everything to get out, i was one of the lucky ones to get out... My baby brothers are still living at that home. I would do anything to get them out. Nobody wants to believe a child parents would break their bones or give them bloody noses. Never forget the children who suffer, its almost been two years since i got out and i was adopted and I'm loved thats all i ever wanted was to be loved.

My friend told me just last night she was abused as a child. I hadn't paid much attention to it before, but she was a little different from everybody else her age. I am very different from almost everyone I know, and maybe it's because of that we've become friends. How unlikely-an outsider like myself.

For many people who hide their problems like abuse, its easier so then people don't think that you are weak. If word gets out to the families, they turn off their mind and problems are caused.

My dad sexually abused me. I'm 15 and I told my mom in June. She kicked him out but I'm lucky. Most women make the daughter leave. My brother and dad's side of the family hate me now because I'm a "lier wanting attention".

My niece was sevearly neglected. Her mom never bothered to feed her or change her diaper. When they came over once i remembered she never change her diper for 8 hours and she had diarreah. :( When my parents got custody of her she was so thin you could see EVERY bone in her tiny body. I have two nephews. They've been through Children Services, because they're physically, mentally, and emotionally abused. A couple of months ago, I made another call to Children Services. Today, we went to court. They still let her keep her kids. Because she put on her lies.
I'm afraid one day it's going to be too late, because not even the courts will hear me or anyone else out.

I was emotionally and sexually abused. I told child services as well as countless teachers or other adults because I was so desperate for help. Inresponse they decided I was lying and believed my abusers. Child abuse cannot be prevented if those whose job it it to help turn their backs on us.

It confuses and cause immeasurable pain that as you said HURTS. For me when I had a profound spiritual awakening at age 30,( yeh I'm old:) the wounds of the past began to heal. i have always loved this song but here lately it has a meaning to me after my off and on again boyfriend told me that him, his sister and mom was abused by their dad. at the age of 12 his sister killed herself because no one believed her. his mom died too years later. but some day i'll get to met them. in my heart they both are concrete angels.

My niece was sevearly neglected. Her mom never bothered to feed her or change her diaper. When they came over once i remembered she never change her diper for 8 hours and she had diarreah. :( When my parents got custody of her she was so thin you could see EVERY bone in her tiny body. Even her sternum and she was only 15 months.

I have two nephews. They've been through Children Services, because they're physically, mentally, and emotionally abused. A couple of months ago, I made another call to Children Services. Today, we went to court. They still let her keep her kids. Because she put on her lies.
I'm afraid one day it's going to be too late, because not even the courts will hear me or anyone else out.
What is there to do, if not even the system will help?
What is the point of child abuse?
This needs to stop.

I was emotionally and sexually abused. I told child services as well as countless teachers or other adults because I was so desperate for help. Inresponse they decided I was lying and believed my abusers. Child abuse cannot be prevented if those whose job it it to help turn their backs on us.

As hard as it is to say this, we can't stop ALL child abuse. We can try. We'll save some, but not all of them. There are people who will be warned and thrown in jail for years, but that doesn't mean they're gonna stop. But as long as I have a pulse, I'm going to try to help these poor souls

It was a little girl, with ragged up and torn clothes. Her hair was a mess. She was all alone and filthy. I saw bruises and marks on her arms and legs and neck and face. It broke my heart. From that day on I never saw her again. I hope you're ok, little angel. :"(

As a kid, my mom's bfs would beat the crap out of me and my sibs, we never told but somehow, someone always found out and then my mom would lose us, she'd get with a different guy and it would all start over. I had a friend once, her name was Alice, and the first time she saw the bruises on my arms she marched me down to the principal's office and forced me to tell him. I wouldn't take anything back though. Gabi stil won't trust boys and she is a high school student.....

i was never beaten but i saw my mother be hit and thrown across the room by my step dad.it scared me.and now i cant stand yelling at anyone.if someone yells at me a burst into tears.and im so moody.my real dad and mom broke up when i was 2 and i rarly got to see my mom.i had to live with my grandma but she always let my dad come see me.but if my mom was there they would fight none stop.now im an outcast at school.never come out of my room.and go to therapy.but i still love my mom and dad =)

It confuses and cause immeasurable pain that as you said HURTS. For me when I had a profound spiritual awakening at age 30,( yeh I'm old:) the wounds of the past began to heal. i was abused really bad for 10 years. now my step dad is gone. im glad i stood up to him or i might be dead :/ but im always scared of the littlest things. like ppl coming up behind me and ppl scaring me and i cant go down the stairs alone cuz i was pushed down them and they scare me. i love this song so much but i never understood why someone would want to do such things to kids

Why do people do it, if you feel like someone is abusing you tell a trusted adult, the police, a teacher, a friend's mum, your friend and maybe your parents, don't keep it a sercret, This film is so sad.. =[ Why do people do it to young children and teenagers and use them as a toy it's not fair.
