I'm a linux convertee. Moved from Windows to Linux. I am never going back to Windows, not even if they pay me. Linux by far gives me freedom to do anything. If I need windows programs, I run VMware server and run winXP. If your a gamer, Dual boot so you can still play games. Apart from that, Linux should have a price tag on it, thats how good it is. But it doesn't have a price tag, thats how Superior it is.

If its not viruses then its spending a lot of money to protect it, which should be 99% secure out of the box. If its not that then its crashes. Dude wtf are you talking about? I didn't spend a penny on my antivirus software, and I never had a crash on Vista. I prefer vista over linux and mac because more programs are compatible with it, and I'm just used to it, so I don't see why I should switch.... So calm down man, if other people like Windows, that's fine, but don't make lies about it. Honestly, who spends a lot of money protecting their computer? Most antivirus is freeware.

By the way, every copy of Vista has software that collects all data on your computer at random intervals, and uploads it to Microsoft.
