It wasn't a lie. Jesus was not a myth. Yes, some people do not believe he was gods son and our messiah the savior, but historical records prove he did exist on earth and the stories from the bible are true. How one cannot believe he is truly the son of god after the things he did is a mystery to me, but chrisj2003, jesus existing is not myth. God bless(:

@chrisj2003 Jesus was speaking to the disciples. What did they ask God to do in Jesus' name that he did not do?  Have you read Acts? The promise is made several times, but it is conditional. It is given in John 14:13, the line before the one you quoted, and:

"If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." John 15:7-8

@LookinSpify Surprised no one has answered you. This version is on the Passion album "The Road to One Day". It's available on iTunes. Chris also has a version on his "The Noise We Make" album, also available on iTunes. I have both, but I prefer this version.
