@87animegirl87 Well, you could download the YouTube video with a downloader (I use MacTubes). And then export the mp4 file to mp3 etc. This theme song is not available on the movie OST, but can be found on Kotoringo's album "trick & tweet" (available through Yesasia, CDJapan etc).

@87animegirl87 Yes, do so! :-) I got my own copy last week. Kotringo (that's her preferred spelling in romaji) is such a gifted pianist, and this song is sweet and delightful, delivering both hope for the future (for the people of 1955) and a grandeur all its own.

@raidenkun11 An English sub is available on-line, but it's terrible. The translation is wrong, people names are missing, and many more issues. Out of 10, the sub are worth at most a 3. As for why a dub is available is because the animé premièred in Europe and many EU countries licensed it, like Germany, France, etc. So those countries have it available in their language as well as a sub (in their language) followed by the Japanese dub included in the DVD. I had heard almost nothing about this film despite its age, and it was a coincidence that I came across your release. I loved it and it's now a favourite of mine. Shame that there is no R1 release.

お姫様とは清少納言のこと。6才の頃三十六歌仙の一人である父、­清原元輔の周防守赴任に際し同行。4年を過ごしたと見られる。今­の山口県防府市で過ごした彼女の年齡は新子と重ねられ、映画の重­要なモチーフとなっている。

だから歌詞は枕草子から採られている。

@b008834 Technically speaking, the title as per the Japanese is Mai Mai Shinko to Sennen no Mahou. It was shortened to Mai Mai Miracle after it premièred/licensed in Europe.
