  • Made in china?! No thanks. I'll get a Martin.

  • what model is this? i am looking for a nice, deep sounding guitar, but am having trouble finding one with a slim neck.

  • I don't see how anyone can judge the sound of this guitar with that technique.

  • Aaaaaaaaah o bluess sz

  • I love this guitar. I would seriously probably sell my soul to the devil to own one. I don't need my soul...I need that GUITAR. :(

  • sounds great!

  • your amazin

  • i just got mine its the same model except the pickgaurd is black but very nice sound 5/5 review for me.

  • Lovely playing, gonna try a163 soon, any string brand you prefer?

    Thanks for posting.

  • Blueridge is the only guitar that comes close to a Martin nice playing

  • Damn, you REALLY love Martin!!!

  • Yup I love my Martins, I also have a couple Blueridges, Blueridge is my opion 2nd best guitar on the market, Bluegrass makes or breaks the name of a guitar, If a flatt top guitar can hold up to Bluegrass , It's worth having. You need Bass, Vol,substain, and no juice and amps lol.

  • This is past!Ever played an Eastman?much better

  • thats your opion

  • looks like a BR-160

  • I dont know what all the hype is about Matins... they are a rip-off and way overpriced... I prefer blueridge for 1/3 of the price and sound just as good

  • @marks2244 u have to admit tho, even tho u can get a blueridge for soooo much less, the martins sound pretty flippin amazing...

  • @fishaguitar89 agreed. not saying Martins don't sound really good, just too hyped up and expensive for what they are

  • @marks2244 haha ok, i was jst making sure i was completley tone deaf, they are waaaaaaay waaaaaay over priced tho, i agree

  • martins kicks aall there asses

  • this sounds better then a martin martins are way to tinny an the dont sound right out of a studio

i like taylors better then martin

  • You've got your brands backwards my friend.

  • i truely like taylor better then martin

martins seem to be better for recording

  • what kind of blueridge acoustic is that it sounds great?

  • awesome picking, awesome guitar

  • keep draming

  • Blueridge are great sounding guitars. Martin is just a name that is losing it's prestige by each passing year as newer and cheaper well built guitars with great sound are entering the market. Why do you think Martin have started making cheaper guitars aimed at the lower end of the market? The word Blueridge is out & spreading fast and Martin know about it & Martin owners are a little jealous now that the Blueridges are can hold their own against a Martin anyday for just a fraction of the price.

  • As a proud Martin AND Blueridge owner, I can say that they are both great guitars with unique characteristics all their own. Why do people have to make it a competition?

  • Because business is a competition...

  • u got that right man i got a mint 1977 alvarez 5025 and i wouldnt trade it for any gibson or martin blueridges are great and not just for the price just plain out great geeeetars

  • martins sound horabul they only sound good in a stuido

    there way to tinny

  • Stop worrying about these guitars being made in China. Most things are now anyway. I own a Blueridge BR180 with all the bling around it looking like the Martin D45. The quality of the build on mine is outstanding. Not one accidental spot of glue can be seen inside. The gentle aroma of the wood coming from the solid Rosewood back and sides is sweet. I'm amazed by how loud my guitar is with good tones. Owners of Martins have even admitted they like the sound of a Blueidge.

  • These guitars have a great tone for the price.

  • is this a good guitar for bluegrass

  • tganubis, yes this is a very good guitar for bluegrass. In fact it's great for it. They are built with the pre-war style forward x bracing that Martin used back in the day, which really made them what some people like to call "banjo killers".

The forward X bracing style adds more bass, volume and overall resonance. The most sought after Martins were built this way. And don't let the China thing fool you, these guitars are the real deal, straight up. Don't have to believe me, just go play one.

  • Awesome guitar, and playing. How much did this cost you? I've been looking into buying one, and I found a dealer thats 2 hours away. They have one for 500 bucks, but before I make the drive, I just wanan make sure their lower end models are decent...

  • I bought it in Berlin. I paid a bit more than 600 euro for this model (it is BR-160).

  • I own a br40 and it sounds awesome. They have a really solid quality feel to them. I play in a duo band in which we use the br40 and 60. Also, the br40 was recognized by a hardcore Martin guitarist that really knew what he was talking about. Great guitar for exceptional price.

  • I just have to ask...these guitars sound great but being made in China has many of us sorta wondering about the quality issues.Any owners out there that can make some comments about the build quality would be greatly appreciated. What do you guys and gals think about them? Thanks.

  • I've played several blueridges and they have excellent quality

  • I just got a br-160, and it sounds AWESOME playing blues. Wonderful sound there!

Did you get yours set up?

  • wow, that was great.

  • blueridge is really nice

  • what a great guitar:)

  • that is great dood, know where I can get tabs?

  • There are no tabs, I'm just playing little around the chords E,A,H..

  • Wow, really awesome dude, wish I could hit the blues notes that great, keep it rockin' :)

  • sweet guitar.

  • basic, but nice

  • which model of blueridge is this?

  • BR-160
