My Grandad was involved in the uprising, he was James Gannon from Tubbercurry Sligo.The British army came for him at his aunts house where she hid important documents in the laundry. He told her to unbolt the door & made a run for it, but was shot in the foot, captured & jailed in castle bar. My mum is still alive & i realise that at 84 i must extract all the information i can. I never met him as he died when i was 7 but i'm very proud of you & live in awe of you as you were & still are my hero
