Very good video show the Beauty of the Mournes. The only criticism I have is one of the walkers is wearing Jeans. Jeans are not recommended. If it should rain, jeans do not dry out quickly there by increasing the risk of getting hypothermia and then having to call out the Mountain Rescue services.
@MultiWalkman1@mullenkevin1 the start of the walk is Happy Valley, I think. Car park on up past Meelmore Lodge. We followed the Ulster Way for a bit out past Fofanny Dam, before turning off and heading along Ott Mountain to Lough Shannagh. We went up Doan, and then Ben Crom for our sandwiches.
Class vid that does a great job of displaying the awesome beauty of the Mournes. We went from Newcastle to Slievenamuck in very similar weather on the Sunday after this and a few k at the end of our walk would have crossed the start of the lads and it is beuatifull place to walk. Even the music to vid is top notch. Well Done
Oh MAN.... Near tears with missing home - and that opening along the edge of Fofanny Dam - so special! And all of it in fact. No wonder it inspired Narnia. What a beautiful day - jealous/glad for you... Thanks JG :)
