Thanks for the comments, for sure. For the past year, I've had my guitar hung up on the wall...focusing instead on writing political articles over at HubPages under the user name of Ghost32. (Feel free to drop by, duh.) Figured my chances at helping Take Back America were better if I laser-focused, and it seems to be working--here in Arizona (where my wife and moved after my gasfield job in Colorado got Obamafied in early 2009), we're ready: Remember in November! Then Palin 2012, you betcha!
Update 06/07/10: The truck purchase I was planning turned out to be too close to election time in 2008. After OzBama's Coronation it became obvious we were going to go broke. Wasn't laid off but--but lost 12 hours of overtime (minimum) per week. Y'all know EXACTLY what that means in the patch!
Retired in AZ, built a "border fort" house single handed, now writing online to get Sarah Palin elected.
Once We the People have reclaimed America, I'll be back on the guitar....
Blaaaa! I started in Oklahoma..Got sent to California....Then back to Oklahoma..Worked both Ok..And Tx..Now I live in Montana..and work In north Dakota! Damn..how did I wind up here?!?!?! Let's not leave out New Mexico..and Colorado..
@wormkilla You workin that Bakken Shale up there? I did bout 9 months up there last year near Williston and Dickinson...nice little low pressure high volume oil wells up there!
Thanks for the compliment! I'm taking time off from songwriting until we can get replace the Obamasnake with Sarah Palin--in other words, I feel the need for speed in writing pro-Palin political material for a few years. But I'll be back....
Just an update: No truck of my own, employer reducing overtime, bad time to abandon being a company driver...but my wife and I will both appreciate the additional night per week at home....
Well when the rig came out of the Midland yard it went right to Colorado. Although it was an old rig number, but new rig... 629 had it's rig number changed last winter to 312, and is probably still stacked out right now.
629 used to be an old TMBR/Sharp rig 29, patterson bought out TMBR/Sharp and changed the rig # to 629. Nice lil rig. Didn't care too much for the tail pump, but overall a good rig.
Thanks for the Comments, guys. I'm currently driving a water truck in the Colorado gasfield boom, getting very close to buying my truck and going to owner operator status. I've done (many) other things, but also drove cement truck (Big Red) at one time, and was a derrick hand on the workover rigs in Montana. Good to hear from my peers.
come on down to TX its booming Odessa 24/7 racing

Hardhat27, that sounds good to me. Got a couple of Arizona Democrats to dump first (November 2010), and then we'll get right on it!
