  • Let's see the test were conducted by a Continental designer. That alone shows that this test is bogus and I agree with the other users comment as to why the brake pads were'nt changed or why the foam blocks were'nt placed in both test. When the test are performed by an independat reviewer than I'll believe this bull

  • @SanAntonioTxRepair If you are in San Antoni, check out the Continental test facility in Uvalde. You can go to the track and conduct your own test. The test is legit, and not changing the break pads would account for less than an 32nd of an inch difference between the test, not 45 feet. If that is the case, you would need to exchange your brake pads after every panic stop.

  • Stupid test. Why were the blocks not placed when they were testing the premium tyres??? Why were the break pads not replaced before testing the budget tyres?? We are not sure how hard the break pedal was hit when they were testing the budget tyres. I cant trust these guys completely.

  • you shouldnt press the clutch in the start only at the end youll have a shorter stopping distance lolol

  • They put the blocks at the AVERAGE distance at which the Continentals stopped. So if the blocks had been there when they tested the Continentals they'd have hit them in half of the runs! Admittedly, probably not as quickley as they hit them with them with the cheaper tyres.

  • They picked the right car!!!!!!!!

  • Continental have a bit of a cheek with this test. They own the Brand Barum. Barum tyres are very poor in the wet in my experience, certainly no better than the better chinese tyres.

  • @symonh2000 Agreed - they do have a cheek as BARUM is a terrible tyre, cheap and nasty. Why not reduce the cost of a premium tyre and get shut of the nasty tyres. There is no way I would recommend them on ANY car. The Chinese tyres are terrible, not designed for UK weather. Always buy a decent tyre of known make and origin. I used Goodyear in the past and now have Bridgestone, at least I know they are a bit safer in the wet! You can feel the difference between cheap and premium tyres.

  • They never replaced the brake pads! Skewed results!
