In German the word for socialism is Sozialismus. The acromym used then and even today in German for a socialism is "Sozi". So if your new political part called their politics National Socialism, that word in German is Nationalsozialismus.

So from the word NA-tionalso-ZI-alismus came naturally, NAZI.
