The CFC in my wife's inhaler is 134a, a relatively harmless gas in small quantities (such as one or two sprays from the inhaler). Its not any old inhaler tho, its the "over-the-counter" ones, so I don't think chronic asthma sufferers will be effected very much. Prescription inhalers will still be available. Complete bull. I had my first serious asthma attack earlier this year. I was in Chem lab and forgot to pack my inhaler. My Lungs started to become tight and i was gasping for air. I had about 15 blocks to get back to my dorm and i KNEW if I tried to walk all the way there I would've passed out. Good thing a friend walked by and helped. Eventually someone drove me to my dorm so i could get my RESCUE inhaler. So obama, what will you give me to replace that? A pill with 20 side effects?

The CFC in my wife's inhaler is 134a, a relatively harmless gas in small quantities (such as one or two sprays from the inhaler). One interesting quality of 134a is that it is much heavier than air, which means it is going to sink to the ground long before it rises into high altitudes where the greenhouse gasses reside.

Alex! You used to be against Fluorine! The ban of Chloro-Fluorine carbonates is for our safety. As for Asthma Inhalers - there is cure for Asthma. Asthmatics have to google Internet for alternative and cheap replacements. Personally, I work on to reduce the use of Fluorine-comprising polymers, like Teflon. I propose a replacement that is cheaper and more efficient in some applications.

Complete bull. I had my first serious asthma attack earlier this year. I was in Chem lab and forgot to pack my inhaler. My Lungs started to become tight and i was gasping for air. I had about 15 blocks to get back to my dorm and i KNEW if I tried to walk all the way there I would've passed out. Good thing a friend walked by and helped. Eventually someone drove me to my dorm so i could get my RESCUE inhaler. So obama, what will you give me to replace that? A pill with 20 side effects?
