Regardless of what will be said of him, there is no doubt that Dirk has place among the NBA's All-Time Greats. His number 41 will be proudly retired, he will be proudly enshrined in the Hall of Fame, and his name alone will forever attain iconic status in the sport. Dirk Nowitzki is the name.

@Kante10 Have you heard the name of Andrea "Il Mago" Bargnani. Don't get me wrong I love Dirk but I think Andrea has probably better ballhandling skills than Dirk not to mention better player soon enough ;)

No way he will be better sometime. Andrea is a good Player but will never be a Superstar or Hall-of-Famer like Dirk is.

The things Andrea is doing now scoring-wise, Dirk was doing in his second season. Oh, except Dirk was better in almost every other statistical category. Dirk was 20, Bargs is 24. By time Bargnani even sniffs being as good of a scorer as Dirk (I suspect he never will), he'll be on the decline... and he'll never be as good of a rebounder.

@HueBry Yeah that's never going to happen. As far as #1 picks go, Bargnani is a bust. There were a bunch of better players in that draft - Roy, Aldridge, Gay, Rondo...
