  • thank you for sharing, I too just had my bilateral 4 weeks ago

  • I'm so sorry for you i went through this 2 weeks ago, when trying to sit up after a thyroidectomy and just couldnt bear the pain and started crying it was the worst pain ever. i do hope you are better now and did not have any problems after surgery

  • It would have helped if the bed had been raised up in the back, which would give one more support. I'll be doing this in the first week of Jan.2011. God Bless you sweetie for sharing this with us. I pray you have good recovery and cancer no more!

  • My wife is about to undergo this surgery and I was searching for information and came across your video. How brave and generous of you to share this!

  • Yes, it important to sit up and move as soon as possible. Some years back I had a car accident. I was flat on my back for two months. Once it came time for me to sit up, then stand unaided was 5 days. 2 days to sit up(I'd just pass out through the altered blood flow to my head), and 3 days till I could sit on edge of bed and stand. The body adapts so quickly and quickly wont use what it doesnt need.

  • it takes a special type of person to share this with the world. thank you for doing this. my girlfriend will be going through a mastectomy in about a week. needless to say, we are both really scared.

  • Oh my gosh! I so feel for you. I only had one modified radical mastectomy and tram flap, I can't imagine both sides!

  • "I want to give you some Tylenol..." Screw Tylenol, man, time for the morphine!

Oh, honey, I feel for you, this brought tears to my eyes. Will check out your blog.
