In the early 80's they played the Strand theatre in Sunbury Pa. They were a good band. They told me they played the Ritz in NY the night before and were playing their way back to Georgia or something. They did a good show for about 75 people at the Strand.
I consider this band a hidden gem like some other bands that almost got big (i.e. Starz, Nantucket, etc.). I got to see them a few times in North and South Carolina. Great band and great guys. I miss the fun music of the 80's. Remember, you can't spell crap without rap.
this song was on their 3rd album called, "Run for your Life." it came out in 1985. I have a copy of it. it's a pretty good album. they were a great band that never quite got over the hump! they deserved better! saw them play about 10 times! the bass player on this album is Tim Smith, who now plays with Sheryl Crow.
The song about Dianna is called What she does to me from the first album. It is a great song with a great bridge. This past week in my car I keep listing to depending on you over and over again. This song is great and the guitar lead is one of my favorites.
@rkellymia33162 I was there, too! what a fantastic night! we used to drive all over the south to follow these guys. I am so happy someone posted these videos. they make me smile. :)
we saw the Producers many times here in Texas. this song was about 1985. it was from their album "Run for your Life." Kyle Henderson had left to do a solo album of christian music. Tim Smith replaced him on bass guitar. yeh, the same Tim Smith that plays live with Sheryl Crow.
these guys were awesome. I dubbed them as "the greatest pop band that never was!" Mark Previty, what ever happened to you? DK
i saw these guyz many times in tallahassee fla. where i still live today.this college town worshipped them.i saw them perform this song minus kyle h (tim) on bass at leon county civic center. ithink they were sposored by miller beer at the time if my memory serves me rite.oh i also saw rush and krokus at civic center and yes their music dominated bullwinkles.great memories
Saw them live in Tallahassee. don't remember the year but I do remember they were the first band I saw with wireless instruments. Boy did they work the crowd.
Hi, this is Richie. I run The Producers' myspace page. A longtime friend of the band gave me this and the other videos. I got permission from the band to put these up. The band still plays from time to time. For more, go to myspace and type in the browser heartheproducers. Don't forget to change the browser from WEB to MYSPACE.
These guys were HUGE in Tallahassee. I remember going into Bullwinkles after seeing Rush and Krokus in 1982 and they were playing nothing but Producers songs on the jukebox. First time I'd ever heard them and I was hooked!
Great tune, never heard it before.I have the debut and You make the heat, but this does not look like new material due to the presumed young age of the guys. Thanks for the vid!!
Wow. My all-time favorite band and from a time when I thought no video was produced for the band. What a great surprise. Wow- Tim was just a kid in this video. Loved the wardrobe- totally cool then and now because they are... The Producers. Thanks for posting this.
I've got both their first two album releases on Portrait. This video was made after Kyle H left and they got Tim Smith (who is with Sheryl Crow now). They were big in Atlanta back in the day. They played all over town so there were lots of chances to see them locally. Unfortunately they never cracked the big time despite the
I got to see them perform live at Screamin' Willies in Columbus, Ohio. I managed to get a guitar pick from Kyle Henderson (one of the lead vocalists) at the end of the show. Great performance that I still remember to this day.
I was another lucky one who got to see them live, Denton, Tx. VERY small club. Only about 100 came out. I loved the show. Everyone there was a huge fan. We talked for a while after the show. Great great guys, the greatest music. Reform? Yes, no?
Words cant express how much I love this song. Some songs are created, and some have always been, waiting to be found. And I wish I had found this one....

Did they do a song called Dianna. I seem to remember one and thought they did it, can't find out. Anyone know? If you have it, could you post it.

Love these guys though I gotta admit that they went middle- of- the- road when the great Kyle Henderson left.
Love their first two albums the best. Great powerpop!
