Okay here is my situation. Its my second day in school and I see this short really cute girl. She just caught my eye. I am guessing she's new too cause she is quiet and don't talk much. I'm new and I don't have many people to talk to either. I know my self and I know I'm a good looking guy(sorry but, I just know).

@16skywalker travel somewhere far away for a weekend that way it won't matter whether or not you look like a dumbass. It won't matter if you are rejected in an area where nobody will ever see you again. Go to some big public venue and just walk up to girls and say something simple like "hi, how's it going?" Then, make a positive comment about their attire (without getting too sexual). It will be scary at first, but after a while it will be like a sport. Once you get past that point you are set.

Personally I think the most important thing for men of all ages to remember is to be friends first. Chances are very high that you will not marry every pretty girl that you talk to so just make friends and have fun. Then if something develops, go with it, if not, hey you had a good time and have a friend. Not many relationships are worthy of marriage either. That is not a healthy goal. Find the right one first. Be friends with all of the rest.

Another thing to remember is avoid having full blown discussions online and over the phone, if you really like this girl the best thing to do is save these "convos" sort of like credits, the more you have saved the longer you can maintain a better friendship because you will have loads of things to talk about and this can break open the barrier.
