  • This is a load of old rubbish. I mean I could go for anything from this but as I only have 450 characters here's an example. Romans 1:1-2 is supposed to show salvation by faith alone according to these guys: here it is "1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God— 2 the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures" Does someone want to tell me how this is supposed to prove salvation by faith alone? Anyone?

  • @hess6wi I'm not really sure what you're talking about, but one thing is for sure, Romans talks much of salvation being by faith & not other things, get it? Educate yourself: Romans 3:22, 24, 26, 28-30; Rom 4:3, 5, 11, 16; Romans 5:1, 9; Rom 9:30, 33; Rom 10:4, 9-10; Rom 11:6 also Galatians 2:16, 21; 3:5-6, 8, 14, 22, 24; Ephesians 1:13, 2:8; Philippians 3:9; 1 Timothy 1:16. It's quite possible that the speaker meant to say Romans 5:1 instead of the 1:1-2; they're not infallible like the pope.

  • So, there are about 1.7 billion or so people that label themselves christians in the world. But, if catholics aren't christians, then there are only about 700 million christians in the world. But not even all of them, presumably would be "true" christians. So how many are there? Who is and who is not a "true" christian?

  • @rohanwotan2 Very good deduction. The answer is NOT MANY just like Jesus said there would be in Matthew 7:13-29. The operative word is FEW. God chooses who are the "true Christians" (Romans 9:10-23, John 6:37-39, 44, 63, 65-66, Acts 13:48, etc - type "LARRY WESSELS UNPOPULAR BIBLE DOCTRINES" in the YOUTUBE search box for more on this issue). People are not born as Christians or decide to be Christians (John 1:12-13) but are chosen by God supernaturally. How many were saved at Noah's flood?

  • @CAnswersTV

Thanks for the direct answer, at least on the number question (I know, it can be difficult to express full answers in 450 characters). So, since very few people are true christians, what happens to all the non-christians, unbelievers, etc once they die? What happens to the true christians once they die? Or is death simply the end of existence? Is there a single criteria that defines a true christian?

  • show me where bible alone is in the bible?

  • @xukeith33 If you already do not accept the Bible alone as your presupposition & already presuppose that Romanist tradition & rituals are on the same par with Scripture then it really doesn't matter what verse of Scripture I bring up since you will immediately deny it does it? You apparently didn't read so well from my last reply. Type "LARRY WESSELS SOLA SCRIPTURA" in the YOUTUBE search box & a couple of videos should come up (a debate with Gerry Matatics & the other a show with James White).

  • @CAnswersTV i will gladly look up that debate.

Is their something specific about Roman Catholicism that you think is non Biblical?

  • @xukeith33 The way you have become a Roman Catholic is most likely that you were simply born into it, am I correct? Probability says if you had been born in Tibet you'd be a Buddhist right now instead. If you had been born in Saudi Arabia you'd be a Muslim right now. Why do you think being born as a Roman Catholic automatically makes you a real Bible Christian? Are people born as Jehovah's Witnesses real Bible Christians? Type "LARRY WESSELS ROMAN CATHOLICISM" in the YOUTUBE search box for more.

  • I don't get your point. Billions of people are born into cultures and different faiths. So what?

What specifically about Catholocism is in your opinion non biblical. I watched as you requested the 90 minute larry Wessel debate.

  • @xukeith33 I noticed you didn't answer my question about whether you were born into Romanism, why not? The point being that merely being born into something doesn't make you a real Bible Christian (John 1:12-13 + see my response to "rohanwotan2"). Next type "LARRY WESSELS ROMAN CATHOLICISM" in YOUTUBE search box & see our 16 hour "ROMAN CATHOLICISM SERIES" (16 hours of reasons by Romanism isn't Biblical). Next go to BEREANBEACON ORG & read article "ARE CATHOLICS CHRISTIANS?" by former RC priest.

  • @xukeith33 yes, u have just watched a debate with ur fellow catholic brethren and CAnswers has told u to watch the other vid. So go on, they are ur fellow. And their 16 hours points prove they arent biblical at all. I was once a catholic, and it takes only God's grace, not logic, to realise the truth.

  • @taxmiy Very well said brother! It really is "God's grace, not logic" that brings people to a knowledge of the truth (Ephesians 2:8-10). We as Christians can use all the argumentation & logic we can muster to try to convince people of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ but in the end it is really God's grace, mercy & love that bring salvation to lost sinners (2 Timothy 2:24-26). Excellent testimony!

  • @CAnswersTV Thanks brother.

  • bible alone or sola fida is nowhere in the Bible. Protestants make it up to make them feel good so they can interpret the bible however they want and if disagree, make your own church...no ironing out differences

  • @xukeith33 You're completely wrong of course but that's understandable since you believe in a man-made religious system rather than simply going by the written Word of God. You've replaced confidence in the Bible with confidence in Romanist rituals to get you to purgatory. This too is understandable since you have to be supernaturally elected by God thru the Holy Spirit (Rom 9:10-23) to even understand scripture (1 Cor 2:13-16). Type "LARRY WESSELS SOLA SCRIPTURA" in the YT search box for more.

  • @CAnswersTV "man-made religious system"?? Wow. Since 33AD, "On this rock I build MY church and the gates of hell shall not prevail.." Whose sins you loose on earth are loosed in heaven. Whose sins you bind, are bond in heaven"

Which NON man made religion do you belong that is obedient to Jesus Christ?

  • @xukeith33 You've been brainwashed by Roman cult propaganda into thinking the Christian church has a pope (it never has & never will because Jesus is the Head of the church, not an elected "pope" - Ephesians 5:23). Jesus controls His "church" (not the Roman church which is anti-Biblical) by the power of the Holy Spirit - John 14 & 16, making a pope unnecessary. See our 16 hour series entitled "ROMAN CATHOLICISM SERIES" here on YOUTUBE. Type "RICHARD BENNETT ROMAN CATHOLICISM" in the search box.

  • @CAnswersTV Dont be a fool, the Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church, which means hes the head of the Church, why would Jesus not protect His Church with a leader. the pope is the vicar of Christ. He is the servant of the servants of Christ. SERVANT. Not Christ himself nor Jesus. Jesus is the center of Catholicism. Jesus does control His church, you know why? Throughout all the corruption that the Catholic Church has been through, it is still here 2000 years later

  • @desouzaj The only "foolish" talking being done is by you. Here you give us the same old, tired Romanist arguments as if they had any validity which they don't. Church history itself refutes your worthless claims. See the following: 1. our YOUTUBE show "EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH HISTORY PROVES ROMAN CATHOLICISM FALSE" 2. Our YT series "EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH HISTORY" including episode #3 "EARLY CHRISTIANS QUOTED SCRIPTURE WITHOUT A ROMANIST OR KJV BIBLE" 3. Our website HISTORYCART COM. Repent!

  • @desouzaj "the Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church" If this is true, and you believe this, then why did Notre Dame, a Roman Catholic University, allow the most pro-abortion President ever elected to office, Obama, speak at their graduating class of 2008? Isn't the Roman Catholic church against abortion? Why did your leader, your pope, allow this kind of thing? What kind of a leader is this? Why didn't the pope call ND and tell them they can't allow this to happen? How do you explain this?

  • @desouzaj You've nothing useful to say that'll Scripturally or historically stand up. The Scriptures don"t teach the need for a Roman pope at all but rather faith & trust in the Lord Jesus Christ Who is the Head of the church, not Ratzinger. See our video, "EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH HISTORY PROVES ROMAN CATHOLICISM FALSE" & our website on church history HISTORYCART COM. "Pope" Ratzinger denies the inerrancy of Scripture, he believes men came from apes through evolution & he condones homosexuality.

  • @MsILOVEJESUS1 That's fine but we follow doctrine & theology very closely when it comes to Biblical matters. Jesus gave his disciples the command to "Go ye therefore, & teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, & of the Son, & of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." (Matthew 28:19-20) Currently we have over 290 videos on YOUTUBE (type "LARRY WESSELS" in the YOUTUBE search box).

  • @MsILOVEJESUS1 This "liberal" priest is affirming everything the Roman Catholic Church stands for in Vatican II & what its "pope" Joseph Ratzinger of Germany says. Not only does "pope" Ratzinger deny the historical & physical resurrection of Chirst in his book "Introduction to Christianity" but he believes everything Monsignor Jordan is saying in this debate. Ratzinger believes in universal salvation (see his "Dominus Jesus") & evolution theory. We don't have "hatred" for people just doctrines.

  • @MsILOVEJESUS1 You don't understand the fundamental differences between Roman Catholicism which is a counterfeit religion masquerading as Christianity & real Christianity as presented in the Bible. Romanism has a completely different "gospel" (the seven sacraments, the Virgin Mary, Purgatory, Indulgences,Treasury of the Church, the Pope, Universalism) while the Biblical gospel is by faith alone in Christ alone apart from works (Galatians 2:16, Eph 2:8-10). Thus Romanism is cursed (Gal 1:6-9).

  • John 20:21-23 21Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. 22And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 23Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

  • @StBonifatius I always find it interesting when a staunch Romanist quotes Bible verses as you are doing here. As we made it clear in our 16 hour video series on Roman Catholicism (type "LARRY WESSELS ROMAN CATHOLICISM" in the YOUTUBE search box) Romanists do not trust the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation but RATHER they put their faith & trust in a man-made SYSTEM called the Roman Catholic Church. Romanists use a veneer of the Bible but conveniently replace it with TRADITION as desired.

  • the rcc says that evolution is in line with Christianity and catholics can believe in it. This is CONTRARY to the Bible. the rcc says mary was sinless. this is CONTRARY to the Bible. the rcc says confess your sins to a priest. this is CONTRARY to the Bible. the rcc says mary can save you. this is CONTRARY to the Bible. the rcc says peter was "the rock". this is CONTRARY to the Bible. The rcc murdered MILLIONS of Christians. This is CONTRARY to the Bible.

  • @mbaren58 You prove by your statement that you're doing exactly what I said you would do, refuse to analyze our websites in detail. If you had bothered to study them & found fault, you would've brought up our mistakes but instead you just slough them off. You don't want to know the truth (Rom 8:7). Next, if you knew the Bible you'd know when Paul got "saved" but the answer is in Acts 9:17-18. Paul was saved as Ananias spoke & laid hands on him (verse 17); Paul was baptized afterward (verse 18).

  • @mbaren58 Your ignorant comment is noted & gives opportunity to let the reader reference our websites which will be of assistance on the "water baptism for eternal salvation" issue. Before we begin, it should be stated that "mbaren58" will NOT research the references that will be given because he has a "do not confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up" attitude (namely, water baptism is his SAVIOUR). Our website HISTORYCART COM answers church history questions. See BIBLEQUERY ORG on baptism.

  • Larry Wessel's misstatement concerning Jesus never baptizing anyone? John 3: 22, totally contradicts him. I am a protestant Christian, and I am no Roman Catholic, but he should not use broad base assumption: it leaves no foundation in the Word. John 3: 22, After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized. Context taken from NIV Bible Translation, 2010 Copyright. Their other reasons on Baptism as not valuable is vague.

  • @mamaschristmasbunny That's a good try & on the surface it looks like you might have been correct but in the end your argument fails & Larry Wessels was correct. The problem you have, as with most people who try to interpret Scripture, you fail to interpret John 3:22 in light of other Scriptures which will lead to a better understanding of it. Had you read on to John 4:2 you would clearly see that Jesus Himself did NOT baptize anyone but his disciples did, "Jesus himself baptized not." Context!!

  • The Vatican II Church and Protestantism aren't Christian! The only Church of Jesus Christ is the (Pre-Vatican II) Traditional Catholic Church!

  • @StBonifatius This statement is totally false & misleading. The Pre-Vatican II Romanist "church" was just as heretical as the post Vatican II Romanist "church." The Pre-Vatican II Romanist cult had enough damnable heresies (see our 16 hour video series on ROMAN CATHOLICISM on GOOGLE VIDEO with former Romanist ROB ZINS & Christian Answers director LARRY WESSELS; plus check the many videos on YOUTUBE by former RC priest RICHARD BENNETT for documentation) in it to well qualify for Galatians 1:6-9.

  • @CAnswersTV The Catholic Church is the one true church of Jesus Christ, all the rest are just protestant SECTS created by men in the XVI century!!!!

  • @StBonifatius I see you made this UNINFORMED & UNRESEARCHED comment within 3 hours of our posting an answer to your initial comment. There's NO WAY you could have watched our 16 hour series on Romanism (see GOOGLE VIDEO, search ROB ZINS or LARRY WESSELS on their homepage) or the 40 hours of videos here on YOUTUBE by former Romanist priest RICHARD BENNETT. You're like a kid crying, "I want to believe in Santa Claus no matter what!" See our website HISTORYCART COM about the early Christian church.

  • @StBonifatius LOL. you're making a joke, right?

  • @StBonifatius lol do you really think catholics were the only christians? you are strongly mistaken jesus spread the word of god all over the world catholics means universal some fell to their authority some did not some followed it like jesus told them to some made human made and pagan made tradition like catholics jesus followers were the minority just because there is more of you doesn't mean your right catholics just means universal ...

  • @StBonifatius Rubbish! The claim of the RCC as the only (infallible) & true church is blatantly falacious. In 1986 in Assisi Italy,Pope J,Paul II gathered the world's religious leaders to pray for 'world peace'.There were snake worshipers, animists, buddhists, hindus, muslims, north american witch doctors, fire worshipers, presbytarians, methodists etc, pope said THEY WERE ALL PRAYING TO THE SAME GOD!! Also homosexualism, lesbianism, pedophilia etc holds sway in the enclaves of an infal. church!

  • @kiwichristian2009 John Paul II was an apostate I agree. The whole Vatican II Church is the apostate church of Satan. The real Church of Christ is a remnant of true Catholics keeping the faith, which come from the Apostles. No other so called church has Apostolic succession.

  • @StBonifatius Not only is your Biblical understanding wrong but your understanding of early church history is too - there is no pope & there never was one, get it? The "pope" is a Roman Catholic invention. We have several videos on this: 1. EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH HISTORY PROVES ROMAN CATHOLICISM FALSE, 2. THE POPE - HOLY FATHER OR ANTI-CHRIST OF 2ND THESSALONIANS 2:3-12, 3. ORIGINAL "BIBLE ANSWER MAN" WALTER MARTIN SAYS THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IS CORRUPT & APOSTATE. See RICHARD BENNETT also.

  • @CAnswersTV Are you a protestant? Protestantism is no biblical, sola scriptura is not biblical either. They're heretical Martin Luther's invention. No one believed in those ideas before the 16th century.

  • @StBonifatius I'm a Bible believing Christian following the scriptures which we've had since the dawn of the Christian church (2 Peter 3:16) in the first century. I don't need Rome or Martin Luther. For documentation see our 2 websites: BIBLEQUERY ORG & HISTORYCART COM. I noticed you replied within 30 minutes so there's no way you watched all those YOUTUBE shows I told you to check out. You're not interested in study but rather you cling to your Virgin Mary worship & popish idolatry, Gal. 1:6-9.

  • @StBonifatius not Biblical? the rcc says that evolution is in line with Christianity and catholics can believe in it.

  • @StBonifatius I disagree most strongly. The entire catholic organisation is unbiblical and anti-Christian.

  • @StBonifatius Catholics claim that the present day bishops and priests in the Catholic Church are successors to the apostles, being inheritors of their power and authority. This cannot be true. The Catholic bishops and priests were not promised the power from on high nor commanded to wait in Jerusalem to receive it (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,8). They have no authority because they are not inspired of the Holy Spirit nor are they eyewitnesses of Jesus (John 20:22-23; Acts 1:8, 21-26)...

  • @StBonifatius ... They CANNOT prove their authority by speaking in tongues, prophesying and working miracles (2 Cor. 12:12). They are NOT the chosen ambassadors who were selected to deliver God's message or "the faith" to mankind (Eph. 3:3-4; Jude 3). Moreover, they CANNOT be successors to the apostles and prophets because the only infallible succession to them are the inspired writings (2 Pet. 1:15; 3:1; 2 Tim. 3:14-17).

  • @StBonifatius- I just watched the first comment and turned it off. This is not a debate about, or with the Catholic Church, This is a debate with a man that is teaching his own ideas, so, don't present this as a debate about Catholicism. I also disagree with some of the Catholic Teachings, but you just waste my time and others when you just go on with non-sense debates. Whenever i want to hear the opposite side and the first thing I hear is a lie, I just lose interest. Find the facts.

  • @weatherford1 You say this debate doesn't reveal true Romanist teachings but you don't specify, please eloborate. Based on your comment you make claims (including "disagreeing with some Catholic Teachings") but you don't prove your points with any HARD EVIDENCE. Why do you say the Monsignor (of St Theresa's Catholic Church in Austin, Texas & approved by the Bishop of the Diocese of Austin, Texas as the official Diocese spokesman) is just "teaching his own ideas" & there is a "lie"? Clarify.

  • @weatherford1 "I just watched the first comment and turned it off." The truth offends all sinners, my frien.

  • @weatherford1 You don't understand that the current Roman Catholic Church teaches exactly as Monsignor Ed Jordan is teaching in this debate? Where have you been? Are you a real Romanist or not? The Monsignor here is the official representative for the entire Diocese for the Roman Catholic Church in Austin, Texas with the blessing of the presiding bishop so he should know what he's talking about, get it? What's wrong, you don't like what he says? Then you must not like Pope Joe Ratzinger either.

  • i mean look at it ! mary is the face of the church your "queen of heaven" false pagan godess you only serve to make him angry you claim his name but you follow the commandments of men over the bible

  • According to Monsignor Ed Jordan, you can worship Britney Spears and Beyonce and be saved as long as you're a good person. I guess I can also bow down and venerate my car. Yay! The Catholic Church is so kind!

  • Roman Catholicism is not biblical? Silly.....It is so biblical that the bible was put together by Catholics.....go back in time people and READ!!!!!

    Ave Maria

  • @HailMary53 I see you're a Virgin Mary idolator rather than a worshipper of Christ alone through faith alone. You need to repent of this damnable idolatry before it's too late & put your trust in Christ Jesus alone as your Saviour, the one true Mediator between God & men (1 Timothy 2:5). See episode #6 in our 16 hour series on Romanism posted on GOOGLE VIDEO (search LARRY WESSELS on their homepage & look for it). The Bible did not come from Romanists (see our 2 hour video on VIMEO). 2 Peter 3:16

  • @CAnswersTV 1 Tim. 2:1–4, and what? who put the bible together than?

    Ave Maria

PS Catholics have not nor ever worshipped anyone but the one true God almighty! Bless Mary, We have never worshipped her nor put her before God. The church has never said to worship her, or to give her more attention than God. In fact, if you do honor Mary she would always point you to Jesus her son.

  • @HailMary53 You put Mary BEFORE Jesus which means trouble for you my friend (Luke 14:26-27). Even your Youtube account icon is a blasphemy violating one of the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:4-6). The Scriptures were in place since the first century, no Romanist church required (2 Peter 3:16, 1 Timothy 5:18, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, etc.). See our 2 hour video on VIMEO VIDEO entitled, EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH HISTORY PROVES ROMAN CATHOLICISM FALSE. See 2 of our 3 websites, HISTORYCART COM & BIBLEQUERY ORG.

  • @CAnswersTV Lol good one....so if we cant make graven images tell me, doesn't that mean no pictures of your family? Didn't the Lord also demand that the Ark of the Covenant be and doesn't it have two "idols" on top? These letters are refering to the Jewish law aka the torah...btw where did scriptures come from then? it was the church that compiled them....

    Ave Maria...

  • @HailMary53 You completely missed the point of my mentioning Exodus 20:4-6 as to your Mary & Jesus idolatry situation. You, on your Youtube icon, have a graven image of Mary & Jesus (no doubt you have statues, cards, candles, beads, etc that likewise have graven images on them). Would you deny the doctrine of the Holy Trinity? If not then you would agree that Jesus is "God in the flesh," the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, right? Therefore you have graven images of God which is forbidden.

  • @HailMary53 Yes, that is exactly what it means. which part of "thou shalt not" do you not understand?

  • @CAnswersTV From Bishop Liguoris' "The Glories of Mary", APPROVED by the vatican! : "Therefore, those who serve Mary and enjoy her intercession are as sure of Heaven as if they were there already." , "In a Bull long attributed to Pope John XXII, who died in 1334, we learn that our Lady wished it made known to all that on the Saturday after their death she would deliver from Purgatory all who wore the Carmelite scapular.", "No one for whom Mary has once prayed will taste the sorrows of Hell.".

  • @HailMary53 Rubbsih. "For to be right and good, worship of the Mother of God ought to spring from the heart; acts of the body have here neither utility nor value if the acts of the soul have no part in them" ENCYCLICAL OF POPE PIUS X ON THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION Given at Rome in St. Peter's on the second day of February, 1904, in the first year of Our Pontificate.

  • Wow this "father" is really sad, misleading people to believe you can do good to your false gods or your own conscious, OMG. I agree water Baptism does not save us from Sin, however Baptism is need for regeneration, however this is not water Baptism; but Baptism of the Holy Spirit, who baptize us all into one Body (The Church) not an denomination but the Spiritual Body we are place in.

  • @AchreousD Rightly said. You are saved by having a "born again" (John 3:3-8, Titus 3:5-8, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Romans 8:8-17, etc.) through the power of the Holy Spirit, which is a sovereign act of God (2 Timothy 2:24-26, Romans 9), not an act ("work") of man via water baptism. Romanism tries to replace the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit with their rites & rituals thus deceiving people into thinking they are real Christians by their own works righteousness. Good job in your comment.

  • @CAnswersTV Amen a we must be born again... Not denationalize

  • It's baffling how someone who's literate and owns a bible cannot see through the veil of this false religion. I can empathize with those in the dark ages, many were illiterate and it was one bible to thousands of people. In the age of information though, there's no excuse to have a dark-aged mind.

  • Not only is Roman Catholicism un-biblical.....it's the doctrine of devils....of Satan himself!

  • @zanxter That's exactly correct! Romanism violates 1 Timothy 4:1-3. Their "priesthood" is forbidden from marrying thus violating the Biblical command. The consequences of this are evident as Rome itself now admits that up to 50% of their priests are homosexuals (see the book, "Rite of Sodomy") resulting in its church organization spending millions of dollars in dealing with the many pedophile lawsuits that have been filed against it. Most old Protestant confessions have said what you said.

  • @zanxter I was brought up as a Baptist and I was taught this too but as I read the bible more closely I now sure that the Catholic Church is the ONE TRUE Church of God. What church do you belong to? I was brought up with not only lies but also lots of misunderstandings that I'm sure you have. As for for this Priest what hi said is not right but it could have been edited, If not well look at all the Catholic priest that have taught erre (Martin Luther for one and arius and many more)

  • @CATHOLICFORLIFE2000 To see the entire 1 hour debate with Monsignor Ed Jordan go to GOOGLE VIDEO (once on their homepage type LARRY WESSELS in their search box then look for the full 1 hour debate). The Monsignor was the official representative for the entire diocese of Austin, Texas thus his expressed views are the official Romanist view despite what you think or agree with. The Monsignor is in agreement with Vatican 2 & the current Pope who believes in universalism & evolution from apes.

  • @zanxter Amen! the rcc says that evolution is in line with Christianity and catholics can believe in it.

  • If you truly only meant good, you would respond to commenters with your opinion and scripture and avoid the insults. You are a proud and

petty person who should get his own act together before he tries to do gods work....Christ doesn't need your help!!!!! You need his!

  • @gordsak Why are you so full of "insults" & failing to quote the Bible. "If you meant good, you would respond to commenters with your opinion and scripture & avoid the insults." Do you want people to THINK you are a "proud & petty" person WHO doesn't have his own act together before he tries God's work? At this rate "Christ probably doesn't need your help; you need his!" I guess you are simply ignorant of what the Bible says in Matthew chapter 23 where Jesus deals with religionists. Study!

  • The Church interupts the Bible for these poor lost Cathlics can you believe that ...... what happened to Study to show your approved

  • I just seen you commentary with James White on Sola Scriptura and your debate with Dr. Fastiggi. A little wild but understandable.

  • Thanks for the feedback "eluzion83" it is appreciated. Also thanks for checking out our long version shows we have posted on YAHOO VIDEO & GOOGLE VIDEO (search LARRY WESSELS on their respective homepages). Youtube will only let us put these short 10 minute clips on but the vast majority of our shows are one hour programs originally broadcast to 300,000 households on public access television in Austin, Texas.

  • How come Dr White gets to have longer sessions than 10 minutes?

  • @eluzion83 That's a good question. James White (I highly recommend his ministry; his debates against the Romanists are outstanding) started early with Youtube & also got a great number of hits for his videos. This criteria allowed James to be "grandfathered" with Youtube with unlimited time restriction videos while we on the other hand are "johnny-come-latelys" who are limited to 10 minute videos. I'm happy to say our unlimited stuff can also be seen on VIMEO VIDEO & CLIPSER besides GOOGLE.

  • I would like to see moderated debates. Just like the ones James White does against Catholic apologist(s). There are 2 sides to every story (at least). How about it CAnswersTV? Would that be something in the future for your organization? Thank and God Bless.

  • We have a lot of debates already as you have probably noticed "eluzion83." Debates with Moonies, debates with Campbellites, debates with Romanists, debates with Arminians, etc. We still have a lot to post but everything takes time to get around to. Currently James White is king of the debates but he has the time for it. Unfortunately for us we all work secular jobs (Larry Wessels has two) & everything we do is done when we can squeeze it into our restricted available time. We do what we can.

  • Funny how you pick and chose what you what to lie!

  • @ATXLATIN Based on your other two comments on shows #1 & #2 any Biblical credibility you thought you may have had has never actually existed. You don't know or understand the Bible to even have the ability to make an intelligent comment about it. You've already proven to our readers that you routinely violate Scriptural commands & bear false witness. Jesus said "by their fruits ye shall know them" (Matthew 7:20) & you have failed the test. Back to your Catholic bingo games where you belong.

  • Also, I do not know who is and is not going to hell. I hope very much to see you, and all of the faithful, in heaven! But I will not stoop to judge the state of soul of this or that man. That is for God alone!

    God bless.

  • amicuspublilius it's right for you not to judge anyone (although you were doing that in your earlier comments) since you obviously don't know what the Bible teaches. The Bible has been given by God to His people to make judgments about other people while in this world (Matthew 7:15-29, Titus 1:9-16, 1 Corin. 2:15-16, Jude 3-4, Revelation 2:2-16). The Bible gives us the truth contrasted to damnable error (II Timothy 3:15-17). True Christians armed with the Word can judge but obviously not you.

  • CAnswersTV:

Please, instead of attacking me personally as "illogical," go back and refute my points.

Please, do not call me Buddhist.

    Please, be civil. God bless!

  • Your points "amicuspublilius" are bringing up your suppositions as to the motivations behind the debaters which you are only "guessing at" & with that "guess" you bring into play Martin Luther & other irrelevant points to the discussion. What is relevant is WHAT DOES THE BIBLE PLAINLY TEACH about the issues at hand. I wasn't calling you a Buddhist but rather someone who does not really know much about what the Bible says but likes to make statements about a subject he doesn't know much about.

  • ... and all the other self-interested men who corrupted the souls of millions out of pride. Today we see the fruits of this pride, in every "Pastor" who demands subservience and ideological purity over and above recognizing their schism from the Church, the Bride of Christ. Come home, to the Saints, to the Church Fathers, to life, to love, and to Christ. Give up believing you are the font of "Christian answers" and have some humility! God bless.

  • I notice "amiscuspublilius" a distinct lack of anything Biblical in your commentary. As I hear you speak I get more the feeling of a Buddha reciting under a tree. Do you not agree that most people who claim to be Christians are simply going to hell instead (Matthew 7:13-29), that God loves some & hates others (Romans 9:11-22), all the heathen are going to hell (Acts 4:12, Ezekiel 33:8-9), & few will be saved by God's choice (Amos 5:15, Luke 13:23-30)? A man must be "born again" (John 3:3-8).

  • CAnswersTV:

Ignorance comes in all shapes and sizes. The Msgr. is like Martin Luther by his arrogance and his obvious pleasure in being fawned over by these men. It is the blind leading the blind. Martin Luther, likewise, began with good intentions, but was bought and paid for by monetary interests who, when the Beast was loosed, made huge profits stealing Church lands and throwing the poor out on the street. How Christian! May God have mercy on his soul, and on the soul of Oliver Cromwell

  • Apparently "amicuspublilius" you like to go way beyond the immediate context of a situation, such as this short video debate, & to imagine all types of imagery from your fertile mind. You also like to violate rules of logic to foster your supposed analysis of motivations behind the speakers without any clear evidence to prove your position. Your poetic prose may work in dime fiction but your suppositons about the motivations of these men (whom you do not personally know) is misguided at best.

  • LOL.. Viewers, the creator of this video is a liar and an exagerrator. I have made a few comments on Catholic sites, since I am Catholic, which I have permission to do, do I not? I would be surprised if the number over 2 years was even 10. Why not address the issue, which is you are entirely ignorant of Catholicism?

  • "babywaterfall" the only ignorance is being displayed by yourself. The fact that you claim to be a "Catholic" already establishes the fact that you are ignorant of what the Bible plainly teaches & that you have never had a supernatural "born again" (John 3:3-8) experience created by a sovereign act of God (Romans 9:9-33) by the power of the Holy Spirit & given by the Father (John 6:37, 44, 63-65). Go to YAHOO VIDEO {search LARRY WESSELS on their homepage) & see our 16 hour series on Romanism.

  • The Msgr reminds me of Martin Luther, caught up in his own political position, perhaps starting from pure motives but permitting himself to be used to advance a political cause, and sacrificing truth in the process. Obviously, there are two religions, and only two. The first is the faith of Christ, and the second is faith in the self. Insofar as all three men in the video have severed ties with the historical Christ and idolized their own authority, they are lost. God help them.

  • I find your philosophical comment most interesting "amicuspublilius" however it's lacking in internal consistency on several points. The Monsignor is the official spokesman for the RC diocese in Austin & does speak the Vatican II political position which rejects the Biblical Christ & His Gospel but how you think of Martin Luther in this context is beyond me. How you disqualify the moderator & Zins is also a puzzle. Zins is taking issue with the Monsignor & his position which agrees with you.

  • Mark16:16, Titus3:5, 1Peter3:21 link salvation and baptism, "believes AND is baptized"..."bath of regeneration", "baptism now saves you". not to mention Ezek36:25 "I will sprinkle clean water upon you to cleanse you from all your impurities." Mk16:16 undeniably links the 2. Circumcision was necessary for Abraham's male descendants Gen17. To say JEsus baptized none or the thief was't baptized both argue from silence, John4:2:Jesus' disciples were baptizing. Using 1Cor1 proves nothing in this.

  • "OrthodoxCatholic1" I will give you credit, you are a real Romanist! Your very statement about baptism proves that you have replaced a saving faith & trust in Christ Jesus ALONE with water baptism as a savior (the Campbellites would be proud of you). Your water baptism idolatry & your misquoting the proper interpretation of Titus 3:5, etc. proves that you have never been spiritually reborn (John 3:3-8) by a supernatural act of God. The entire book of Galatians condemns your false salvation.

  • The early Christians quote John 3 and say it refers to BAPTISMAL regeneration, read Justin Martyr, God save THRU the waters of baptism, the water itself has no power to do it. The Early Christians including Augustine saw John 3 and Titus 3 as teaching water baptismal regeneration. Baptism is a WORK of Christ, this was the point of 1 Cor 1. Galatians does not such thing, its addressed to Judaizers chiefly. Using John 3 is a lame, as if being born again makes you immune to misquoting?

  • "OrthodoxCatholic1" you're Biblically speaking, an uninvited guest trying to get into the kingdom of God a different way (see Matthew 22:1-14). Romanism is a different way & a different Gospel (Galatians 1:6-9). See our 16 hour series on Romanism on YAHOO VIDEO (search LARRY WESSELS on their homepage) also our 22 hour debate with the Campbellites on Water Baptism. John 3:5 uses the Greek preposition "ek" which does not refer to MEANS but SOURCE. We are "born" of the Spirit not water baptism.

  • @CAnswersTV

why the world romanism, all these videos are false based on false facts. just out of cuoristy what religion are you?

  • "catholicapologetic10" you apparently haven't heard of theological or lexical terms to describe a theological position without going into great detail. "Romanism" is simply a lexical term describing the entire Roman Catholic system of religion as found in Vatican I & Vatican II, & other documents of this religious entity. Your statement about "false facts" is a logical fallacy called BEGGING THE QUESTION. Are you saying that your own Monsignor ("My Lord") Ed Jordan is not telling the truth?

  • @CAnswersTV

Actually you haven't heard of rhetoric questions, and i am not begging the question let me give you some false facts,"The Roman Catholic "Gospel" versus the Biblical one is exposed in this debate for all to see." thats one false fact let me give you another one " Are you saying that your own Monsignor ("My Lord") Ed Jordan is not telling the truth"? what do you mean or what are your intentions on putting in parenthesis my lord.

  • Thanks "catholicapologetic10" for your "false facts" it was most enlightening! If I need "false facts" I know I can count on you. One of your own kind said,"that Monsignor is a typical novus ordo (new mass) Vatican 2 apostate. His view that anyone can be saved, whether Christian or not, does not reflect the historic position of the RCC, the Scriptures or the Church Fathers. He is a modernist heretic" on episode 3 of this series (check it out in the comments there). Monsignor means "My Lord."

  • "Baptism isn't necessary for salvation." Hmm Perhaps learn something about the Catholic Church before you make a video? (cf. Catechism, 1260) Non-Christians who seek God with a sincere heart and, moved by grace, try to do His will as they know it through the dictates of conscience can also be saved without water baptism; they are said to desire it implicitly. (cf. Catechism, 1260)

  • babywaterfall this has come up before in our Youtube debates with many Romanists in the comments section (remember we have several Youtube videos on Romanism so comments are scattered throughout). Vatican II, particularly in lumen gentium, make it clear that even atheists & other idolaters can be saved thus invalidating the need for water baptism (heathen like this don't get baptized anyway). Check out our 16 hour series & debates on YAHOO VIDEO (search LARRY WESSELS) dealing with Romanism.

  • This is amazing!

  • If all Protestants are as confused as these two guys, then I can see why there is such a huge chasm between Catholics and Protestants. Monsignor did not say that all Muslims, Pegans and Islamists are going to heaven irregarldless of what they worship. Stop making it sound like that is what he said! You are hipocrits who obviously hate Catholics even though you say you do not.

  • Come on "ebolingUtube" quit making slanderous accusations & recognize the truth of this Roman Catholic "Vatican II" theology that is being exposed here. Have you ever read "Lumen Gentium" of Vatican II? Why does the Pope go to so much trouble to meet with religions all around the world? If a sincere Atheist can go to heaven according to Lumen Gentium then why not a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Pagan, a tree worshipper, etc.? You ebolingUtube are the one who is confused. Check our websites online.

  • Concerning baptism, the Catechism says "The Church has always held the firm conviction that those who suffer death for the sake of the faith without having received Baptism are baptized by their death for and with Christ". Why should it surprise you that Monignor said that you can be saved if you were not baptised? That only goes to show that you do not really know what the Catechism teaches.

  • "ebolingUtube" as usual you are missing the point. Romanism has traditionally said that you must be "born again" (John 3:3-8) by water baptism in order to enter the kingdom of God. With Vatican II & "The Catholic Catechism" (1981) saying, "These persons, not yet baptized, are already objects of God's special providence & may be more holy than certain unworthy Christians" (p. 513); thus baptism under new Romanism contradicts old Romanism, get it? New Rome allows idolaters who are not baptized.

  • Mark 16:16 - "He that believeth AND IS BAPTIZED, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned."

Acts 2:38 - "But Peter said to them: Do penance, and BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU in the name of Jesus Christ, FOR THE REMISSION OF YOUR SINS: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Christ Himself refutes Protestant Heresy regarding this Scarament!

  • iotaunam1 is missing the entire point in these Monsignor Debate videos. Why don't you try to listen to what your official Roman Catholic Monsignor (a man who has actually kissed the pope's ring) in this video is saying? Your comments are completely uncalled for since official Romanist doctrine declares that only 6 Bible verses have been authoritatively interpretated anyway. The Monsignor says that baptism is not necessary! Go to YAHOO VIDEO (search LARRY WESSELS on homepage) see shows there.

  • It is you who are, in fact, missing the point - CHRIST HIMSELF REFUTES YOUR HERETICAL POSITION!!!!!

Some "Monsignors" think Married Priests are OK, and Divorce and Collegiality etc. They are modernists. The Monsignor DOES NOT represent traditional Catholic teaching on the matter!

  • I notice that you do not like what your official representative of the Roman Catholic diocese of Austin, Texas had to say. Shame on you for not believing the "My Lord" (that's what Monsignor means) Ed Jordan. What kind of devoted Catholic are you? When "Your Lord" Monsignor speaks you ought to listen to him. Fortunately my Lord is Jesus Christ while your "Lord" is Ed Jordan & all the other Monsignors in Romanist false religion. When you're not praying to Mary you ought to pray to Ed.

  • Your attempted answer merely demonstrates your complete lack of knowledge of the subject being discussed.

This man IS NOT my representative!!!! He is fallible!!! Dogmas are infallible, so logically the Dogma is the OFFICIAL position of the Church, as it has always been!!

Lastly, your advise that I should "Pray to Ed" is simply ridiculous, providing futher proof of you apostasy!

  • And are you aware the word "protestant" means "the protesting ones" and if YOU did real research, you would find Luther himself believed in almost all of the Catholic doctrine, but then added the word "alone" in the bible regarding being saved and justified.

  • MrJohnnySharp it is interesting that you make a very simplistic assumption about the word "Protestant" then throw out the logically fallacy that our "research" is not real! Your argument is bogus at best & stupid at worst. Can we assume you base this comment on watching a 10 minute video? Have you taken the time to check out our three websites, BibleQuery org, HistoryCart com (early church history), or MuslimHope com? How about our long version shows on Yahoo Video (search Larry Wessels)?

  • It is also interesting how you ignored the suggestions I have made in my comment, did you do the research i suggested YOU to do? If you expect me to check out YOUR websites, then please check out the info I give YOU. Otherwise, don't expect your bizarre commentary to make any impact on me. Look it up, Luther himself wrote of Mary as the same way Catholics do. We do not worship her, we revere her. Big difference. Luther understood that. But instead, you want trash me. Nice morals you got

  • MrJohnnySharp is not interested in doing any research such as we have done on 3 websites & over 500 hours of television shows, not even counting all the radio broadcasts we have done. We're not interested in Luther or joining the Lutheran church. We're interested in what the Bible plainly teaches in contrast to Romanist doctrine or any other false doctrine. Luther is insignificant in this discussion although over the years we have done our research on him. You're using Luther as a cop out.

  • It is a DOGMA of the Catholic faith, that Baptism is necessary for Salvation (Catechism of the Catholic Church1257), while it is true that the Church teaches that those who are prevented from receiving the Sacrament, can obtain Salvation through the implicit desire to receive Baptism.

  • Well then iotaunam1 you have just pointed out a distinct contradiction in your own anti-Biblical Romanist dogma. Your own Monsignor says baptism is not necessary yet you deny this & him even though he is the diocese's official representative. Then you double talk about "implicit desire" for baptism for those saved who don't get one (what nonsense). I'm sure some tree worshipper on the Amazon who is "saved" unbeknownst to him by his sincerity by Vatican II dogma is really "desiring" baptism!

  • The Catholic Faith is the ONLY Biblical Faith!!!

Again, this man does not speak for the Church - logically, if he teaches contrary to DOGMA and Church Teaching, then this should be ovbious!!

Baptism of Desire, as it is commonly so-called, was actually held from the beginning by the early Church, as proven by the writings of the Church Fathers!!

Lastly: NO- Tree worhipers are not "saved" by implit desire - this should be obvious to even a simple mind!!

  • iotaunam1 you prove nothing by yelling at the top of your lungs that Romanism is true. Your assertions about early Church fathers are likewise false. We have an entire website devoted to the writings of the Early church (do a yahoo or google search for HistoryCart com; check out our other sites too, BibleQuery org & MuslimHope com). "My Lord" Ed Jordan & Vatican II would definitely deny your statement about tree worshippers. You are not a real Roman Catholic representative, so why speak?

  • And you prove nothing by name calling, pointing the finer at us catholics yelling at us about how you think we are not christian, and in fact the feeling I get from you is you believe us to be more satanists than christian. And you expect me to bow to your so called wisdom and check out your sites, when I already know you dont have the compassion or love of a christian to know you can't be real? good bye.

  • Thank you MrJohnnySharp for saying good-bye. I was getting ready to do the same to you since Titus 3:10 says, "A man that is a heretic after the first and second admonition reject." We produce TV shows on Romanism because we love the Catholic people & it is only right to try to warn them before it is too late. Doing evangelism like this can be abrasive but it is not meant to be hateful. Over the years I have seen Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Catholics, Muslims, etc become Christians. Adios
