  • prep tip- to keep the cutting board from slipping around when you are cutting things, put a towel underneath the board.

ps those are sunflower seeds not sesame!

  • Those sesame seeds look a lot more like sunflower seeds to me.

  • tried this okra turned out good. Instead of using flax seed I had this Super Seed made by Garden of Life and it turned out delicious and very crunchy. The longer I kept it in the dehydrator the cripier it got. Thanks for the recipe.

  • I want to formally change this recipe to only dehydrate it for an hour at around 110. Just dehydrate enough to warm it up. It's SO GOOD that way.

Dehydrating it for as long as I did the first few times (and when I made this video) makes the okra too chewy. I like it crunchy better.

  • foodist monks

  • this looks so good

  • have you tried the "FRIED Mushrooms" yet!!! those are yummy!!!

  • seame seeds or sunflower seeds????

  • You should be a comedian...you are sooo funny, bunny!!! You should change your name to Funny Bunny!!! lol

  • Bunny, I tried these "fried" zucchini... and GIRLLLLL....they were soooo good! Thanks for the recipe!!!

  • Hi me again,

Bunny isn't using an Excaliber dehydrator either. Hers looks similar to mine. Hmmm!

    Hey Bunny, any suggestions?

  • the okra turned out good, but it was chewy instead of crisp. I would say to make super thin slices, when you do this.

  • Hi,

Mine too, I sliced mine very thin and dehydrated at 105 degrees for 6 hrs. It was very good but it was chewy. I don't have an Excaliber dehydrator. Could that be the difference?

  • Have you tried Jicama fries?

    The best for munchie hours!

  • i am going to try this soon, i never tried okra, my mom love it though, so maybe i will convert her into a raw foodist lol

  • where i come from (the dirty, dirty -- or below I-10 in cajun country) WE call it okrie, thank you very much:) And I love me some okrie!!

  • Bunny, I am putting it around 105, I don't know. I hear so many different temps! I am making the okra right now. I 'll let you know how it turns out. I put some walnuts in also, and I used cajun seasoning.

  • Please tell us how the okra turned out.

  • What a great idea! In one of my books it says raw okra with olive oil, cayenne and sea salt (I think that's what it had in it)makes a nice popcorn substitute. Your idea looks much better though. I can't wait till the neighbor's okra is abundant so I can go mooch some (mooched my tomatoes today).

I think those were sunflower seeds, not sesame seeds. :)

Excellent video! By the way, books in the mail tomorrow.

    : D

  • I do not like okra, but wow that looks good. Good enough to try!

  • Mmmmmm. Okra. This looks great. I am waiting for your BOOK DEAL! I'll be first in line! Thanks for inspiring my husband and I to continue on!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • PS Awesome Phase 3 recipe for HCG Protocol!

  • awesome awesome recipe...is that sesame or sunflower seeds? ;) This is definitely on my to eat list.

  • DEFINITELY SUNFLOWER!

  • what temp bunny?

  • I'm not sure! My RONCO dehydrator only has two settings: On or Off!

  • I keep saying sesame seeds in this video, but I mean SUNFLOWER SEEDS! Fried okra with sesame seeds would cost a FORTUNE!
