  • Bitch got crazy ey!? :P

  • PROPHET!

  • John has such a powerful voice. And WHY are these clips so short??

  • Haha how fun to see and hear Prophet from Crysis :D

  • John!! Holy hell, he's black. I never knew a black man could say "Aye" xD.

Anyways,he did a brilliant job. So did Abagail. Good on them.

  • wasn't slavery big during the time of dis?

  • well you know. john is the outcast, as it were, even from the start he doesn't go to church etc etc etc

  • I dont remember them saying John was black in the play =S

  • Neither do I ^_^ I saw a clip from a play in which a Nazi SS Officer was black.

  • I don't really see why it would be a problem, I mean it's theatre, it's ok in theatre.

  • Yeah I know :) You can understand that it is a bit strange having a black SS officer though ^_^

  • Yeah, totally. Something like the holocaust has so much resonance with us, so color blind casting wouldn't work for that.

  • yay. i have an exam on this tomorrow. :P

  • You aint going to believe this mate IT's PROPHET! from crysis xD

  • - ... let her turn you intoaurfh-

    - cutta crap psycho!!!

  • it was good

  • I personally love it just thought i would let ya kno

  • This isn't very good. The girl who plays Abigail doesnt act like she wants John enough or hate elizabeth when she is taking about her. John also wants Abi but knows he can't have her and there has to be a chemisty there which is not.

  • i don't think so actually. i think they did a good job of showing john's restraint.

  • Great acting! I wish I could have seen this production.

  • I don't understand why Elizabeth Proctor would ever have forgiven her husband for his affair with a teenage girl. The man was a pedophile. Every time I see this play, I become disgusted with John Proctor being treated as such a "noble character."

  • You have to remember that while Abby was twelve in real life (where there was no affair) she's seventeen in the play, and girls younger than that got married and had children in Puritan society. It would raise eyebrows today, but back then, she'd be considered an adult.

  • Mmmm...I don't really like the colorblind casting, only because it makes it harder to understand Tituba's plight

  • I understand your point, but it doesn't bother me. In fact, I rather like the idea of a black Proctor.

  • i was actually surprised to see it... i think it adds to it in the sense that he's the farmer but i have to agree it ruins tituba

  • James V. Meredith - currently Chicago's greatest working theater actor - Bravo!
