  • Howcast brokeback mountain.

  • i pitch tents all the time

  • Poor latrine! Ive seen way better ones! (with actual seats out of planks)

  • The only thing I find annoying is that in the end they always mention "according to one survey".... Why don't they ever get more than 1 survey? :)

  • heh heh he said "pitch your tent"

  • LOL YOU SAID 53% BUT PUT 50%! like if you also noticed that

  • I like to walk around naked at my campsite. Unfortunately I can't do that anymore since the stupid Girl Scouts got an injunction against me.

  • anyone else wondering why the fuck we apperently need a 500 sq ft area to camp in?

  • i never camp before...

  • you forgot a yard stick

  • i would bring my laptop too. gotta have some entertainment other than staring at trees.

  • Step 1: Dont camp.

    Step 2: Play Minecraft

  • Where I'm going camping it's only 5 minutes from a casino witch means CLEANER BATHROOM

  • That guy is 12 feet tall?

  • I hate it when I go to a campsite to find everybody sitting in fucking RV's. What's the point of camping if you're going to sit in a mobile house with A/C in it all damn day? Not to mention they're loud as shit when I'm trying to sleep.

  • This is grossly missing one important item. The Grub Hub Camp Kitchen!

  • WOW!!!! I really didn't think there could be a video group as bad as ( expertvillage) man was I wrong

  • So basically every camper should have a area of 282,600 square feet (pie x radius^2).

  • Justin Bieber fans sleep at least 200ft from their tent...

  • Step something... never set up camp by a bunch of poison ivy or anything : points to rocks:

    lol

  • from a girl that grew up with the nature in her back yard and has named the many bears that live in my neighborhood most of this is a load of crap especially the hanging food a bear once ripped off my garage door to get to the bird seed inside 12 feet off the ground will not keep them away

  • @AlexaLuvs

Wow, nature in your back yard? You've named bears? Clearly you're an expert.

A bear's brute strength is completely unrelated to his ability to attain food that is out of its reach, so your garage door comparison is a horrible one with a poor conclusion drawn from it. A bear could climb a tree, (or find where its tied off) break the line to get the food, but most bears aren't smart enough to problem solve on that level. But persistently breaking through an obstacle is typical.

  • gay

  • 300 feet 200 feet of just use the whole forest

  • i love teir campfire, hahahahaha

  • wow this is a fail wen he says 53 percent of campers bring laptops umm on the screen it says only 50 percent like wtf buuutttt camping ftw

  • @zody1 Screen say "more than" 50% while the announcer says 53%. They're not exactly contradictory.

  • ok, me and my mates are stoners and where camping tomorrow in some forest, will some deodrant and newspaper work..

  • Really??!! Come on!! Go find a tree if you have to pee!!! And put up your food?? Uh no... Just put it in your tent or your car if you brought a car!! Wow!! If you really want to camp come to Maine!!!!

  • @happybunnybookworm

It is idiotic to put it in your tent. That defeats the who point of trying to stay safe from a bear. If the food is in your tent, then the bear will target the very fragile tent with you in it. Even if the bear gets the hanging food if it is a distance from where you are at least you are safe. Oh and bears are known to destroy cars trying to get in them. Even if you successfully save $50 of food, you have hundreds in damages.

  • FUCK YOU HOW CAST ADVERTISMENTS

  • @mufc956 press f5 when u get advertisments. if they keep popping up, keep pressing f5. lol

  • who would have water 300 ft. away and fire 200 ft. away!?!?!?!i mean think about it,what if somone is going to freeze to death without fire? or somone faints from dehydration or faints from some random reason??what the heck!!!

  • as follow these guidelines you might as well stay at home.

  • notice how long he leaves his hands on top of the latrine when he puts the stones on it WTF!!!!!!!!

  • the video is just basic rule of thumb and safety not a law of the woods thing. ez up a bit. if you really have a strong opinion about this i'd really like to see your video so i can see what you do when camping!

  • The moral? Don't brush your teeth before going to bed.

  • Really, 200 feet from the fire? I get around 25 feet away all the time, and there's never been the tiniest spark to hit my tent. And 300 feet from water? I've camped 100 feet away and that night it poured down about 4 inches, and the water was no where near my camp. And you don't need a food bag unless the place is known for having bears, in all my life of camping I have never seen or heard a bear.

  • @1119king Yeah 200 feet is a bit much

  • yeah but some people have had bear encounters and some people have had their tent flooded of burned down rahter be safe than sorry

  • ????? 1:32 why would you want the bear to think whats in the bag tasty?

  • most people actually camp in parks with fire rings, running water and picnick tables in or near the camp site.

  • yes because we always needf ucking elctronics

  • i camp all the time, there full of crap, fire 200 feet away,, water 300 feet away,,, whatever

  • OMG they are so correct I always brought my laptop to campsites!!!!

  • anyone know any good campsites for under 18's :)

  • Silly, But Informative!

  • I like campping ^_^

  • I love camping =^_^=

  • Your videos are without a doubt, the best done and most entertaining outdoor "how to" channels on youtube. Well done mates!

  • THe laptop is a great idea!

  • This channel was recommended to me by TEAMWHITTINGTON and I am glad checked it out!

  • if you want information on my "wild" or "backwoods" camping, look up "bush craft".

  • With the bear bag, make sure the rope isn't connected to the ground at all, because bears have been known to cut the rope to get the food. It's also a good idea to have a big stick to poke it off. Learned this all from Boy Scouts

  • That's all pretty basic stuff. It doesn't really tell you anything that isn't just self evident. It should explain the three different types of fires, how to set up a tent, and what to bring. That's the stuff that really trips people up.

  • The sound quality is really annoying.

  • im sorry but i missed the point of hanging all ur food in the bag...is it so bears dont eat the tent?

  • basically, lol

  • The bag is called a bear bag. You hang it a significant distance from your tent so that if bears or raccoons are attracted, they don't rip up your backpack or duffel bag to get food.

  • i'll never understand why some people who decide to go camping would bring a laptop or a bunch of technology (more then you need) i mean (to me at least) you go camping to escape all that stuff for a while and admire and have fun in the outdoors.

  • Yea. Maby a cellphone (if it works) and a radio (like a 20 channel one)

  • yeah, agreed. I can understand bringing an iPod for some music, but anything more than that seems like a waste.

  • Comment removed

  • @spidey2065 finally! someone that understands me! and besides its the wilderness,I don't understand y people would bring their laptops when their not gonna get any wifi connections

  • @spidey2065 To WATCH PORN!!

  • Thanks

  • yeah, go ahead and lay out your sleeping bags on the ground so they can collect all manner of insects .. THEN put them in your tent

  • when i camp theres usually an outhouse. i dont enjoy pooping in the ground. that'd be pretty sick

  • wuss

  • the bag of food was at 6 feet in vid lol

  • OMG LEIK YEAESZ ME GOTZ 1rst COMENT!!!11 LOLZ!!!!

(this is how some of you are acting, you didnt get first, and if you thumb me down for saying first,im showing how some people are saying it,most of the time when you say first, you dont even have it,so shut up.)

  • i went camping last weekend and i brought my laptop.

  • kkkkkk

  • that's a really big camping spot... or at least from standards where i've gone camping...

  • same here we went to the north rim of grand canyon thhey were close-ish together

  • Hmm, i think'll i'll bring my laptop with me when i go camping, so i can watch this video :D
