AT&T iPhone 4s can go up to 8 Mbps t night on mine but the coverage isn't that good though. There are places that doesn't have signal at all.

@angrut No, Verizon DESTROYS at&t with their network speeds. I've seen speeds as fast as 60mbps down/13mbps up! Speeds hover around 15mbps average down and over 5mbps up. My mom's iPhone on at&t regularly see's 2+mbps down/1.5 up.

I have an AT&T iPhone, but I am thinking of switching when my contract is up. I heard a good chunk of people didn't even wait for their contract to be over. They paid the early termination fee and bought a Verizon iPhone. Boy I sure wished I could just spend money like that. I think I'll wait and see if people liked the service. All smartphones on Verizon have the ability to both use voice and data just not all on the phone network. Say you have an iPhone and you get a phone call at home. Your friend tells you their is a party you have to go to. If you have wifi you can use both voice and data because your not using the cell towers.

There are limitations to the CDMA Network that Verizon uses. Like you can't do Voice and Data at the same time. Example, can't answer a phone call while doing Google Earth at the same time and can't do web browsing and dial out a call. Although with these limitations I'd still choose Verizon because I'd rather be able to make a call in an emergency rather than have the ability to talk my peers ears off on speaker while playing Angry Birds...

At&t does have some reception issues as will Verizon, but Verizon is inferior because you cannot make calls and surf the web at the same time unlike at&t. I have had an iphone for 3 years, damn good phone, reception issues are with the apple hardware not with at&t, every other phone that at&t has works just fine. Ive used them since they were cingular.
