Saw these in Margate in 1964, an unbelievable stage act, excellent musicians great showmanship etc and afterwards meeting their fans.Clearly enjoying themselves totally.
i was five when i first heard johnny kidd and the pirates they crowned our carnival queen in 1966 shakin all over was my first recollection of music, i love all kinds of music but the 60s was the best.
i remember my mom taking me to our local carnival must have been in 1966 and johnny kid and the pirates crowned the carnival queen, i loved shakin all over i was only five at the time but i've loved all kinds of music since. 60s music was great we used to get lots of groups playing at the town hall but i was'nt old enough to go, yes the 60s was without a doubt the best.
they Never got the regognision they deserved by a long way of all the bands in their time did anyone do a better RnR song than SHAKING ALL OVER? i know its many brilliant RnR songs out there but in my opinion Non better some Very close
Johnny Kidd and the Pirates were a band which disappeared nowadays, unfortunately, from the consciousness of many people and misjudged with it her skill available without doubt. This wonderful song is still today another example of the fact that one knew during the for a long time past years much better how to do music with heart than it is today the case. I am 42 and like the sound of the past, because he simply structures and still was honestly and handmade. Lots of love from Germany.
