I have a Galaxy S (GT-9000i) running froyo and its all the phone i am ever going to need for a GOOD LONG TIME. It Beats these Benchmarks by a decent margin and the AMOLED looks great
hi, I'm wondering if you can help me... I'm a total noob with this stuff, I picked up a used Nexus ONE that's still 2.2... and I'm having a hard time updating. Do I have to update to 2.2.1 then 2.2.2 and then eventually 2.3? Or can I update directly to 2.3 from 2.2?
I Galaxy S running froyo. It has never been as slow during benchmark as what the nexus on the left did it. Looked like it struggled just doing the test. I suppose that is relative to the lower gaming index.
I think froyo is better for phones having 256 or less ram. Because gingerbread is a Memory Hog. Am I right?

I want to get a dell streak but it only runs 2.2 ,
will it feel dated or is there not that much difference between 2.2 & 2.3
MrJester541 10 months ago
@MrJester541 You can flash the Dell Streak with DJ_Steve's StreakDroid 2.0 (AKA GingerStreak), which is based off Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread.

@shaznem
The Galaxy S phones have incredible 3D graphics power compared to other phones released around the same time.

I love how google makes android faster with every release as opposed to the old winmo--every release gets nastily slower.
