  • Loved The Mission

  • hab sie damals in hamburg gesehen

bis heute hab ich keine besseren gehört

mehr geht nicht ,könnt man doch die zeit zurück.....

  • saw The Mission at the mean fiddler Harlsden and my girl has seen them loads of times Brilliant band with no ego problems

  • This was mine and my now ex husbands song.. still adore it. Saw the band many a time back in the 90's... bouncing with the crowd, singing my head off.. those were the days! :O)

Have to say though, Neil Young is still the master when it comes to "Hurricane"

  • i was at this gig!!

  • this mans brother is who gave me the bass guitar for a little song.............

  • Fantastic song

  • 31.03.1990 wer hätte damals gedacht das man das nach über 20 Jahren noch mal im Internet anschauen kann... bekomm noch immer eine Gänsehaut

  • saugeil

  • I always understand "There's cum in your eye".

  • This may be blasphemous, but I actually prefer hearing Wayne sing it to Neil. :-O

  • Not a bad version of this great Neil Young song!

  • 1983... Wayne était même pas avec Andrew et Gary...

  • 4:20 FN ROCKS!!! Thanks for posting..if only new goth had half this talent....

  • Belle reprise ! Bon groupe 80' séparé depuis

  • i prefer with Heather Nova

  • La mas bacan de las bacanes xD

  • Neil Young is superb.. but Wayne's voice still makes me melt. This way my ex husbands and I's song.. and whilst he is long gone (thankfully!) The Mission will always have a place in my heart :)

  • que grande que es the mission!!!!!!!

  • I remember that night very well - great concert, great audience - what a shame we won't have that again! LOVED that band

  • @CallieToo were you on the coach from london calling music?? if so i may have a photo of you as i took a pic of everyone when we got to the gig!

  • super stvar.misson verzija je za mene najbolja

  • I was at this gig and about 30 others on that tour. Good days.

  • I am so happy that I was on their concert in Belgrade 25 years ago. I am 44 now,and still love it.I used to sing this song every time in my company, when I was drunk...once upon I saw you on a crowdy, hazy bar, dancing on thelite from star to star...

  • 25 years ago was 1983. The band didn't exist yet :)

  • @VladDark78

True ! they exist since 1985 ! Best regards - Alex

  • I realized that I made mistake, but I couldnt change my comment, tell me, please when they get started?Aproximatly. Thanks, man!

  • Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams walked out of The Sisters of Mercy around 1986 and formed The Mission soon after.

  • THANKS!you people from UK invented pop-rock. I hate stuppied American groups(except RHCP of course and few others).Great respect to UK.

  • To be honest I like some American bands but UK bands like the Mission and the Cult are sheer class.

  • im american, and havent really enjoyed an american band in a LONG time (except for a couple metal bands over the years)! my favorites from the past 15 years are/were from the UK. however, there are great bands from the US- they just cant get an audience now that commercial radio here is exclusively pre-programmed crap. you have to listen to a weekly "new music" radio show, or stumble upon such bands accidentally on youtube to find bands. (great video by the way).

  • thank god the guy who wrote this song is canadian then :)

  • @dragannov more lies plx

  • @dragannov : it was in 1990, if my memory serves me well, it was end of October. Great gig. In 2 weeks saw Sisters of Mercy and Mission. Mission show was much better, I have to say.

  • @dragannov far accross the moonbeam, I knew just who you are, I saw your brown eyes turn and watch the fire- You are like a hurricane, there's calm in your eye, And I am gettin' blown away, somewhere safer where the feelings stay. I wanna love you but I'm gettin' blown away----...

  • What a gig, I remember(most of it ) well. Coach from London. Gig. Aftershow party. Bar. coach. ferry. sleep

  • I love The Mission and originally SOM. I have the greys anatomy tattood on my upper back (star with the head). I am 34 now but they saved my life when I was 14 and going through really tough times. I am here today because of the strength their music gave me.

  • I am happy for you, The Mission is like blood and sugar for the soul.

  • nicely put, taniamode. i agree.

  • Fantastic

  • Great cover.

  • Love it! I heard this song for the first time in a small, packed bar in Athens, Greece in 1992. Brings back greatmemories.

  • oh Wayne !!! you are so big

  • Fucking incredible.

Do they have their own shit?

  • Sure do! 10 Albuns! Check my other videos of The Mission UK.

  • your joking right?

  • No, he's not. I have them all and quite a few singles releases. Been watching 'em since 1987 :)

  • I meant the "do they have their own shit" question

  • Yes. This is one of, by my count and I'm before coffee - 11 covers they've done, total. There's 10 albums and a number of songs only put out on the b sides of singles. Just search Youtube for Mission UK, that will get you some.

  • the best cover of all times

  • Paul Etchell form Ghostdance and Wolf from Red Lorry Yellow Lorry

  • who else is playing guitar with the mish?
