When my husband & I were in the housing mkt to buy in 2005 my f-in-law advised my hubby to take out a bigger loan to get an even better/bigger/newer house, but I said "no way!" He told me I need to be more positive.

It's 2011 now & thanks to my own realistic thinking we aren't one of the many ppl that lost their home. My f-in-law is now jobless & has been for 2 yrs. now. His wife may be losing hers very soon, they have no health ins. & they may be moving in w/us soon. Glad I'm realistic!

When people talk about positive thinking around me I tell them that I don't want to be too positive to the point that I am living w/the mentality of a 4 year old. I want to see the reality & logic of everything so that I can make the best decisions in life.
