Very nice! The tempo is just fine given the resonance of your instrument and your treatment of the piece makes those false endings very tantalising. Alexandre Tharaud played this on the piano recently in London and he was not much faster than you!
You must read "Imprimatur" by Monaldi and Sorti. The Rondo "Les Baricades..." plays a role in this book. But the Rondo is accredite to Francesco Corbetta in this book.
Well, I used to play it very quickly, but in my harpsichord, which is german and with a very rich sound, I just think it sounds better this way. Thanks for your comment.
Hello, This cover sounds beautiful Love it, My question is where do i get the notes?, Can i download them or buy them,? I`ve been looking all over the internet for ages, And i really appreciate if you help me here UtReMiFaSolLaSiDo, I really love this song, And would love to play it someday.

Interesting played slower. Brings out the harmonies more. Who really today owns
the law of tempos. Couperin isn´t alive to ask. It still can be a lovely piece at quicker tempos. Nicely done.

this tempo really brings out the tonal qualities of the piece not easily heard when played up to speed... delightful

What a beautiful sounding harpsichord ! Very nicely performed, although agreed it should be faster, but nonetheless a great job !

Very nice. No one would notice your 'mistakes' if you hadn't mentioned them in the description. What manner of harpsichord are you playing on?
Additionally, I'd speed it up a bit. His tempo marking is 'vivement', and that generally means rather quickly. But, very nice overall.

You are perfectly correct! It sounds absolutely wonderful this way. Let's agree that "vivement" is a relative term.
