@trumpetdudeman07 Really? Look up Blue Devils Visual Warm up, there is a vid of them showing off their flawless straight leg jazz running technique. You obviously don't know much about (good) marching if you think it's impossible.
@dbowdrummer The only thing that you said that actually meant anything was drums. Their brassline is awful, sounds like chainsaws. Their guard was like 4th, and the Spirit of Disney has nothing to do with cleanliness. This is a 3rd place show.
@gatorsbrianz Correct jazz running technique requires a slight bend in the knee (a plie) but a perfect point of the toe. Straight leg technique requires muscle isolation to make a perfect line from hip to ankle. Different techniques to achieve the same goal: a fluid and controlled marching style.
Get it right euph005! I think what you meant was: won drums, deserved to win horns, had an awesome color guard, didn't use skirts to hide feet, and won the Spirit of Disney Award.
Blue Devils are by far the best MARCHING corps in DCI...Cavaliers, Crown, SCV---they all have great visual packages overall....but when it comes to just straight up marching, no one touches them.
How do you know they deserved to win horns? The Jim Otte is based on brass performance at field level, so unless you were on the field that night, you have no clue.
I want more videos like this!!!

Who had skirts to hide feet? I know BD had half skirts, but their feet were still very visible.

Total brass titles for the PR? Zero.

It's one thing to "deserve" the colorguard caption when you're in second, but a 4th place guard obviously does NOT deserve it.
