@dannyscootz is this about lag or about quality if its about lag then download the 64 bit java, if its about quality then Its in your home folder. Click the View tab and scroll down to "view hidden folders" or Ctrl-H. Minecraft data is stored in .minecraft folder. Took me awhile to find it as well, hope this helps.
