@shmuli9 By birth they're Swedish but for most of there lives up until about 1984 and beyond they lived in the US as shown by a video on youtube which has them appearing on regional TV in Arizona from 1982 or thereabouts
I 'm referring to Portugal's and mainly to Italy's songs, that were and still are just from another planet compared to such a shit as this " winning " stuff !!!
That's why I talked of innovative swedish music , looking at some comments celebrating this bat tasty trash and their pathetic performers .
this 1984 is one of the reasons why the Eurovision fell down to the bottom
and got reduced to a senseless, insignificant, rubbishy musical event nobody skilled even 1% in music cares anymore .
@Kokka985 Portugal? Spanish is an ugly language...the only reason you are in the eurovision at all. Is because you got 50 million small insignificant spanish speaking countries as your nabors. Who vote on you because they are your nabors.
@Hermoor Kokka985 is a troll, I agree with it, but you're getting your geography wrong. In Portugal (and only in Portugal... at least in Europe) they speak Portuguese. Spanish is spoken in Spain. And they're the only country in Europe that speaks Spanish.
The rest are in Latin America (and are quite not insignificant: there's more people in Mexico City or Buenos Aires than in the whole Sweden). And Latin American countries don't take part in Eurovision, so they can't possibly vote for Spain.
@valnyra I add: Or for Portugal. There's also a Latin American country that speaks Portuguese, and it's Brazil. Again, quite not insignificant, has 8 times more people than the whole Scandinavia. Again, it doesn't take part in Eurovision, so it can't vote for Portugal.
No Latin American country is neighbor with Spain or Portugal, by the simple reason the're an ocean across.
@valnyra You know why there are so many people in buenos aires etc...it's becuase they can't control their cocks...That is also why so many people get raped...and yeah burnt to death because they think stealing something should be punished with burning to death. Crazy religious idiots...also how much difference is there between spanish and portuguese. Not much...they are many small countries that is why they get many votes. THe blondes are superior in everything...
@valnyra There are also some countries in Africa where Portuguese is an official languase, like Angola... And you're right... there are more people in Mexico City than in Sweden (something like 21 million people in DF's metro area vs 9 million in ALL of Sweden). Heh, and now that I think about it, there are MANY metro areas that have a larger population than Sweden, like London, New York, Tokyo, and Seoul...
Probably the most ridiculous and stupid rubbishy winner of All Times ESC .
Plz don't try to give this shit a suit that can't dress : let's be serious , this piece of trash is a parody of song and it was gifted of a farcical victory x some kinda reason ( fixed contest ? shared votes between certain countries in order to share vicotries through the years ? sciovinism & envy x more better countries in music ? ) .....who knows ??
@elinloudnclear ehm to tell all the truth schlager is something different and the meaning is also different , this is only trash of worst type , a joke of song . In the 80s there was also much great music, many fantastic songs
everyone remembers and unbeatable still today , so I wouldnt mix up the ESC shit with the REAL music outside this farcical & ridiculous contest and I wouldn't mess up this pathetic stuff with some masterpiecing songs performed in that 1984 Contest
i dont understand english version..
