@cyclops1092 Prince owns the name (The Time) for reasons unknown wouldn't give them permission to record under it so instead of going to court the group decided to change the name to "The Original 7ven"

Personally, I think the fellas didn't want Prince to have full control of this project like he has done with there previous projects, So Prince got pissed and wouldn't let them use the name just out of SPITE. Prince is a control freak like that.

Wow! I really dig this song. When these guys came out, i was 14 years old. I still got all those original 12' albums i bought back then.
