    Best Part! :D

  • lol. and I though I was the best on this game, looks like we have a real ninja of the video games right here.

  • The guy doing the speed run in this video has fucking unbelievable skill.

This game was tougher than a $2 steak. I love it now,as much as I did then.

Some of the best video game music came from this game. It made it a little easier to absorb the feeling of getting your ass handed to you by the game, because this game dealt out an ass whooping like no other

  • wow there are some tunes in this I don't recognize... maybe because i've never gotten past the level at 7:40 and i've had this game literally since it was new lol

  • Some random foreign dude came up to me the other day and asked me "How do you say "quite, uh...possibly the best NES game ever?". I said "We simply say Ninja Gaiden.:

  • the one at 4:17 are the best

  • What's teh name of the song at the beginning?:p

  • You know... after the "Game Over, continue?" song (8:10), I started humming the song at 5:58... I remember i used to die a lot in that stage.

  • Mods Tocou essa porra

  • AVGN somehow got me here......i wonder....

  • Nunchuckfuck!

  • is this ninja gaiden for mega drive?

  • What's the story behind the song at 6:35? On VGMusic it's called Death of Father, but there's no elaboration.

  • @FlamingBat The song after Ryu defeats his father. His father comes as the boss in a later stage.Atleast I think thats the song.

  • What is the first tune called?

  • were talking about real intese shit ; were talking about ninja GAYDEN!

  • Have you guys heard the music on Captain Tsubasa, also by TECMO? Great 8 bit music.

  • I want to hear the music at 6:35 before my life tells me "Game Over".

  • Thumbs up if you're planning on having this music at your funeral

  • @HoboSuperstar hell, ya!

  • Where's the music from level one?!?

  • yeah here we go some good old 8 bit music

  • i love the music from ninja gaiden

  • I call us the Nintendo Generation, everyone here is saying something that I feel or have thought.

  • 4:18 the best soundpiece over all games

  • i finally beat this game yesterday, it was so awesome

  • best game on nes, fuck mario, the ninja gaiden has the best cutscenes, music, gameplay on the system and it was challenging, masterpiece.

  • one of my fav games of all time, kick ass soundtrack. Funny thing is there is a bar here in Metro Detroit that is Jake's Again (formerly Jake's Bar)

  • No stage 1, damn

  • no one talks about the tune at 4:18? thats my shit

  • @pogopopex4 yeah totally ;)

  • @Hittman305 Yeah dude! Hardcore gaming back then actually lived up to its name. I admit I always sucked at Ninja Gaiden (I never got past area 6-1), but passing each stage felt much more LEGIT than most NextGen games out there.

  • 3:20 is my ringtone, and 2Pac's Made Niggaz

  • 4:30 is the best of the best

  • Ninja Gaiden, back when hardcore gaming was truly HARDCORE!!!

  • bad asss

  • @colliric: the melody beginning at 6:41 is the music theme from "Romeo and Juliet." Try "a time for us" yourself.

  • @colliric: the melody beginning at 6:41 is the music them from "Romeo and Juliet." Try "a time for us" yourself.

  • 6:41, I've heard this song somewhere before.... very familiar... a 60s movie I recon.

  • Whats the name of the first song?

  • @moviemowdown the name is ninja gaiden music.

  • What is the first song? I can't find it anywhere else :(

  • @gniknus1

    -

That's when you die and it asks you to continue.

  • HOW DID HE KILL THE BOSS WITH 1 STRIKE?? 0:52

  • @assais

    Windmill attack. :)

  • @AgApE010 so that what it was for!! does it work with all bosses?

  • @assais

I'm pretty sure it does, yes.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT. BEST GAME EVER!! No matter how powerful and advanced the games of today are, they WILL NEVER BEAT the Original Ninja Gaiden series. SO MANY GREAT MEMORIES! Thanks for this

  • does anyone know what the first song is called???

  • @edviator go search "ninja gaiden TAS" then you can see the full speed run.

  • Man, I wanted to see this dude get past 6-2.

  • this was one of my favorite games as a kid

  • I am used to the SNES version's music, so the music from 2:33 to 3:20 feels fairly empty to me, since it doesn't have that extra melody the SNES version had.

  • The dude who does this speed run is fucking incredible

  • I think the best one is the begiining one that sets up the game

  • 4:20 get HYPE!!!!

  • The guy at 4:08 can go fuck himself.

  • You are slow as sloth taking shit!

  • Excelente....

  • Is this Ryu from Street Fighter?

  • Damn i like this music .

  • Man, I loved this game! But i remember how freaking hard it was that it pissed me off also!

  • 3 people didn't beat Ninja Gaiden

  • AND THE MUSIC OF FIRST STAGE??????!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!! THE BEST SONG ISNT IN VIDEO! THIUMP DOWN : (

  • 2:33

    3:21

    4:19

These are the most memorable ones for me but for 3:21 I remember nothing but frustration

  • BEST FREAKEN GAME EVER!!!!

  • The song starting at 4:18 reminds me of the first BGM in Darius.

  • By far the hardest game I ever played.

  • Golden age

  • Awesome Music, and Holy shmokes, this speedrun is insane,, I never imagined this game being speedrun-ed,, the game's hard as shit!!

I'd say my favorite would be 1:10 and 4:17. it gives that adrenaline rush facing bazooka guys while dealing with hawks' eye poking action.

    good stuff

  • Whoever is doing this speed run is a god.

  • What is the name of the first song? I love it!

  • Trying to kill ninja with a bazooka seems like the worst idea ever.

  • How can I get all of this one cd mp3?

  • Those damn eagles haunt me to THIS DAY ALMOST 23 YEARS LATER! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH! My right eye is twitching....

  • The piece that begins at 1:55 is probably the most creepiest tune I've ever heard in my life.

  • @amaone i actually remember being pretty scared while playing this game!!

  • 2:34

  • My friends ask me where I get my cool ass ringtones for my cellphone ...When I say Ninja Gaiden, they say "Sheesh, the PS3 isn't that old!" I respond: "Either is the NES."

  • I have this game on my famicom but my TV plays it with no sound... this music ads a whole lot to the game. It's hardly even worth playing without it

  • I remember playing this as a kid and recording these songs onto a tape. Good memories, great game.

  • does anyone know the name of the track at 4:19?

  • @Skilletrocks1234 uve picked the best ninja gaiden track x)

    Ninja Gaiden 1 Act 4 - 2

my 2nd most favorite NES song

  • @Skilletrocks1234 I don't know if the track has an actual name, but it plays in the Basilisk Minefield (Stage 4-2), as well as the ending credits.

  • @Skilletrocks1234 Ryu`s determination

  • @Skilletrocks1234 that should be Ninja gaiden's theme song. you can download the whole album here

    forums.ffshrine(dot)org/f72/nes-game-music-full-stereo-direct-host-46245/

  • I LOVE LOVE this game, Love the music, put them in ipod and listen whole day lol, I also use them as my ring tone ;).

download them here, best quality ever

    forums.ffshrine(dot)org/f72/nes-game-music-full-stereo-direct-host-46245/

  • It sounds a lot like Zelda at the beginning.

  • Who would have thought that years later we would get the greatest ninja game ever? Ninja Gaiden (XB) / Ninja Gaiden 2 (360/PS3). Also with badass amazing music! Can't wait for Ninja Gaiden 3!!!

  • Fine Asian wife lushfmlk.info

  • The Jacquio music nails it!

  • I beat the game, it was easy. I had no problem, soooo simple. OK!!!, so I used game genie.

  • The end of the level at 4:07 made me go nuts (°_'°'(

  • Where is the music from Act 1-1 ????

  • @nintygaming ...bullshit, heart and soul have nothing to do with playing a video game, and I LOVE the production value of Ninja Gaiden.

  • 4:19 BEST NES SONG EVERRRR!

    you cannot argue whit that

  • check out my version of Ninja Gaiden

  • Other than the great soundtrack, anyone else noticed the flawless game play?

  • """"This game is a true classic. A real example of why older games, have the heart and soul that most newer games are missing.""""

Oh shut the fuck because Ninja Gaiden > Ninja Gaiden and we only came back to playing this okay game because they threw in such cheap gameover go back bullshit and we couldn't believe that it happened so we just had to resolve the paradox of why they would cheap out on what would have become a much more enjoyable game. Fuck tecmo and their cheap last boss.

  • Fuck those birds.

  • like around 1:51 twilight zone music lol

  • I'm adding this to my favorites

  • IM ON THE FINAL BOSS OF THIS GAME :)))))))

  • ther'es something special about the bleeps and overall sound of the nes music that made them so dam good, love this stuff.

  • perfect ,remember my infance

  • 3:46 song is the best. Always replayed the stage to listen to that tune!

  • very nice songs remember!! best songs: 2:28 , 3:17 , 3:46 , 4:16 !!!!! 6:32

impresionantes! lo que pueden llegar a hacer los 16 bits! donde puedo conseguir el midi o la cancion? where can i get this songs? would be insterstin do remixes (in trance, tecno, dance, etc...

  • This is such good remix material! I can picture it all in my head. :D Let 's see what the people made from it. :D

  • took me 18 years to beat that son of a bitch game, but when i did, i felt like a fucking god.

  • In my entire life... i never came as far as this guy within 8 minutes... woah, hate eagles

  • este juego era impresionante sobretodo la canciaon del minuto 4:20

  • boss music = best music on the NES

  • I beat this without dying yesterday. My heart was in my throat for the last two levels.

The very low damage Ryu takes from most enemies, and the utterly wimpy bosses suggests to me that the pit ambushes are a result of the programmers second guessing themselves near the end of development.

Programmer A: Hmm, this part might be too easy.

Programmer B: OH YEAH!?!? (adds 20 birds to level)

  • Jump & Slash was the shizznezz!

  • they should release a remake of the original NES game concept. New ones are great games... but with great things like MEGA MAN 9 and 10.. they should do the same with NINJA GAIDEN... IMAO ...

  • @killpeek wonder how it'd be with HD graphics and modern character designs?

  • the best begins at 4:19

  • @pinguijose you are correct :)

  • @pinguijose Agreed. :)

  • @pinguijose dude when i hear that music it makes me want to do something spectacular!!!

  • @pinguijose I don't know, the song at 2:32 is pretty fucking rad

  • @pinguijose You got that right.

  • Hey does anyone have a fusion powered Delorean time machine that I can use so I can go back to 1985 and relive the next 10 years of my life in what was arguably the greatest period in video game history???

  • Great musix and nice vids !

  • 3:47 The Parasprinter... you rarely hear epic tunes like this one in games nowadays

  • oops when i said 5:29 i meant 5:59

  • i like 3:20 4:20 5:29 and loads others! (i dont like the stage 1 song though, it sounds terrible) i like 1:12 the best though.

  • I'd rather listen to old Nintendo music than anything made today! 3:20-5:10 are AWESOME!!! Favorite 3:48

  • @GialloHorror Devil Mask gud taste

  • 3:20 and 5:10 are my faves here

  • @atebit80 5:10 is called "danger." my fave by far. have you heard the minibosses rock cover of it?

  • @nintygaming I couldn't agree more :)

  • 2:34 track seems awesome.

  • They should just realease 'Classic Nintendo' and re-release all the old games and lots of new games for $10-25 each, it's rediculas paying $100+ for a mega man game, eaven if they released it on disc form or shrunk the cartrages, would sill be great, the games that the re-release could have red cartrages and be 'greatest hits' like they do now hahaha

  • @CMOODO Uhm, virtual console?

  • @joarX

haha i did buy it on VC when i posted that i was high (not really)

  • Comment removed

  • 99,999 views lol

  • i was playing this wail playing thje 2 game on x-box 360

  • Epic :p

If you look closely at 5:10, you can see the ground turned into numbers ! Wtf ?

  • GameBuyer22, until you show videos of that, the people call BULLSHIT. ^_^

  • Huzzah to lo-fi drum loops.

  • Ive beaten this game twice without dying.

  • @gamebuyer22 LIES I SAY

  • Dude you are AMAZING!!

  • This game taught people exactly what it requires to be a terrific Ninja. A good Ninja should have no trouble handling a mission as such provided in this game. We, as the gamers, are nowhere near the caliber of a great Ninja because for those who are old (millions of years old, lol) enough to have enjoyed this gem, you know damn well that no matter how good we were, there were games like Ninja Gaiden that would make us feel like amateurs again and again and again.

  • @BreastsInspector This game was a nightmare for professional gamers, but see, that's exactly what makes it one of the best. The challenge was so hefty, we couldn't resist the ongoing trials and error until we'd annihilate our obstacles.

  • @BreastsInspector In conclusion, no matter how much Ninjutsu you learn, no matter how good of a Ninjutsuka you may be, you'll NEVER be a complete Ninja until you finish Ninja Gaiden.

  • @BreastsInspector

    this game was rediculously hard

  • @BreastsInspector With a name like that, how could you POSSIBLY go wrong?

  • @DoopaLoopa: Wow, was all of that necessary? And you're incredibly lame for not realizing dude was being facetious you idiotic bigot.

  • @MystykBenz No, let us sincerely apologize for our big tit.

  • @BreastsInspector Dude, Ninja Gaiden finishes you!

  • @BreastsInspector You are correct, and while i post this comment i was standing behind you..

learned that from completing all 3... dont mind looking over your shoulder, im back in Holland again..

    hai!

  • I don't like the mix, specially because the song of the intro sets the mood for the rest. You have first minute backwards and they dont go along with the gameplay. Sorry but it was poorly done. And it sucks cause the music is the best ever

  • for those who liked the 4:20 song wich i dont know its name, look for "super mario crossover ryu trailer"

    i need that song :(

  • Unfortunately i havent been born early enough to play this when it was still new,but ive played it after watching avgn and i can honestly say its one of the best games ive ever played even if i played it on shitty emulator, and ive tried really hard to beat it without saves ad chats and ive gotten only to lvl 4 boss and i still play it from time to time hoping to beat it.

  • I have to concur with rolf here.

  • there's so much amazing music to be found if video games--too bad so many ppl have to miss out on it cuz they don't play viddy games ... :-/

  • Does anyone know if there is a remix of the song at 4:20? With actual instruments instead of 8 bit?

  • @Astrapogiannos14 the advantage did a cover of it titled "mine shaft"

  • Hmm, my two favorite songs from the game weren't in this video :\

  • Ninja Gaiden for the NES is the powerhouse of music for the system, and I believe it represents the whole history of Nintendo. My favorite tune out of the all great tunes this cartridge holds is no other than "Foster's theme", which isn't even on this list. Such a simple tune, but since the composers didn't have much of a diversed sound to work with at the time, melodies came to be their priority, and the tune is just another example. Music today ain't what it used to be, that's for sure.

  • WHERE THE **** DO YOU GET THIS MUSIC?

  • all nes ninja gaiden songs are great but stage 4-2, 4:20 is the pinnacle of epic nes music ffs

  • HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU SO GOOD AT THIS GAME!?!?!?

  • definitely the first game to truly capture cinematic and awesome gameplay and squeeze them into that tiny cartridge.

  • 4:20

what a coincidence this music plays at 4-2 in the game and it starts at four minutes and twenty seconds into the video XD

  • Despite the fact that many (if not most) people cursed, broke their controller, and possibly even their NES and/or the cart itself, most of these frustrated people eventually came back to play this game. Why? Because its one of the greatest action games of all time. This game is a true classic. A real example of why older games, have the heart and soul that most newer games are missing.

  • @nintygaming Right on. I can't even begin to decipher my loathing for new age video games. Almost, if not all are absolutely horrendous.

  • @nintygaming

Exact reason i bought it on VC, it is a great game and it makes you show how great it is by screaming

  • @nintygaming -- I can agree with your point. However, the lack of heart and soul generates wealth through its mass production of popular games. We have to take the throw away titles along with the gems... Then we can appreciate games like METAL GEAR SOLID, FINAL FANTASY VII, GOD of WAR, CALL of DUTY, SUPER MARIO 64, SUPER MARIO GALAXY RESIDENT EVIL (insert your opinion of a masterpiece here)

  • @daguru324

All those games you mentioned are classics. No doubt there are still games with plenty of heart and soul, but there are less and less of them each year.

I mean, when Zelda Skyward Sword is released, is will have heart and soul. But it will be one of the few.
