Gee, Batman gives up pretty easy there. A thug holds a sharp umbrella at Robin, and he lets himself get tied up; as opposed to simply knocking the thug out. They could have at least used the old knock-out gas on them....
One episode ends with B&R glowing inside a fluroscope cabinet, trapped by the Mad Hatter. The next episode begins with skeletons wearing B&R's costumes, standing in the same position. Of course it's a ruse to fool the Mad Hatter, but it's still a shock that misleads the audience for a moment.
For all of you who think that this scene doesn't bear close scrutiny...it doesn't.
Still, as a kid, this was one of my favorite cliffhanger scenes.

Why didn't the penquins henchman tie Batman up , remove his cowl and present him to the penquin.

@scooter167 Yes! Then see Penguin inspect the cowl before dropping it into the acid & watch it dissolve as it sinks into it

Acid proof material.....very weak ending. Admit it...you would have loved the trap to work just once.
