This is a great charity, one where all the donations really reach the people they are intended for. I've know Sherry since high school and know first hand what a warm, caring person she is. I have been amazed at how her dedication to this cause has brought 'sight' to so many.
It warms my heart to see these poor people getting eyeglasses.
Just don't look at the USA--It might get you down, bigtime.
The same public school where this wonderful woman used to teach has been turned over to private interest$ for profit--A transfer of wealth", UP. The present-day teachers there are losing their Union/benefits and will be receiving lower salaries.
In a few years, we may need an "eyes on Van Nuys" program so the soon-to-be destitute college-educated folks THERE can read too.
