It's disconcerting to imagine that in every somewhat wealthy family, the benefactors of the elderly are all standing around rubbing their raspy hands together. They can hardly wait to purchase a funeral wreath.
@talispoona oh, come on, that's very cynical. In Simeon Lee's case it may be true because he is quite a disgusting person, but in 'real life' wealthy people who are also kind and friendly are rather likely to have raised decent children who aren't in for the money. You just don't come across those in an Agatha Christie novel because then the plot would be somewhat lacking ;)
@coffeepie Well, what I said was "it is disconcerting to imagine".....that doesn't mean, I truly believe it happens in real life. I do agree with you....the wealthy are just as likely as anyone else to have decent, responsible children. You are also right, I am rather cynical and suspicious.
@lollipopfop ahahahaha.[: if yu read the book , he doesn't commit a murder , he knows that somebody will kill him . Not sure if that's what happens in the movie though ~ I was quite disappointed that they killed off a few characters though .): David was my favorite !
@somethingswicked So what. She is flirting right back! Besides, her "uncle" Harry was flirting with her too. Not hard to see why. She is very beautiful.
This is what happens when a murderer, thief and a cheater breeds.

Lee sr. is a repulsive man.

In several brief bouts of trench humour, I laugh aloud as the family comes together and displays their most unflattering tendencies.
Abused and tense, monsters and animals. Well-dressed buffoons with diamond dust sparkling in their greedy eyes. And I laugh,eh?
Who raises these children? Who teaches us our ways?
Agatha Christie's novels are packed with real people, often real disgusting people.
Our best literature mirrors its readers. Subtle or not, pleasant or not, the enemy is . . .

The 'Spanish' lady looks like a Frida Kahlo painting.
Thanks for uploading RavenHaven, you give me my regular 'Poirot' fix.

If I was going to commit murder, the last thing I would do is invite Poirot over! What a bad idea.

It is so funny when Poirot has to make clear that he is not French but Belgian in (almost) every movie.
