They both are real. There's Pet Stories AND Sims 2: pets. I almost got Pet Stories, but instead I got Sims 2: pets. I don't know what the difference is, though. I've never played Pet Stories....

you could also download the sim modder or the tombstone of l&d on (modthesims.info) you can get pretty much any cheat objects from the boolprop cheat on modthesims.info

shift click any sim

click spawn.....Tombstone of L and D

click on the tombstone

click either make pregnant or make alien pregnant.

Maybe you have too many Sims on the lot ? But the cheat allows as many Sims as possible... the only real reason I can think of is that your Sim is already pregnant but now showing a belly yet.

actually you can have a baby on ps2 just keep flirting your sims enough times and they will ask you if you want a baby. you name it and everything but keep taking care of it or the child care services will get them. lol I had that happen my first try.
