Best video I've ever seen which perfectly captures the complex character of Snape. Great song, great images, great use of audio, and great transitions! Great, great, great!
I was just wondering this but, everyone is saying severus will finally be reunited with lily in, let's say, heaven, but what's James gonna do? Just sit there and allow Severus to get with lily?
Alan Rickman was amazing in this scene, you can see the light leave his eyes. There was always something about Snape that stopped me from hating the character, i don't know why but i could never think of him as evil. Alan Rickman really portrayed Snape's bravery, even as he is dying. Because even though he dies, it means in some way that he gets to be with the woman he most loved.
And sorry, but Harry doesn't have his mothers eyes. You would think they would be so stuck on her eyes being right

In the books, from the very beginning, when Harry sees their parents in the mirror, they say he saw "a beautiful woman with dark red hair and bright green eyes, similar to his" And they repeat very often that Harry's eyes are the same as his mother. So Lily was supposed to have green/blue eyes buy they made a mistake with that.

I'm a totally insensitive person and even I cried at this part! I took my nephew to the midnight release for his birthday and I looked over at him and he had tears all over his face D: very sad moment. Severus Snape was by far my favorite character in the books/movies.
@Epicocitygaming I feel like Dumbledore fits into the 3rd brother better than Harry for two reasons. 1. He actually died during the course of the books. 2. He controlled the circumstances surrounding death and wasn't afraid of it.

And by book 3 you knew that he was a very angry and lonely man and that his reaction to Harry was much more the way he had reacted to his dad. I think a lot of us can relate to losing someone that we loved due to a silly mistake or even saying the wrong thing. If Snape had not been attracted to the dark arts and in Slytherin where it was encouaged by future death eaters, he would not lose Lily.

@DustBunnyPr0ducti0ns Alan Rickman did an awesome job with this character. He had so little screen time and yet you could see the pain behind his eyes and the anger and sadness as well. Rckman always showed that this was a person who was deeply unhappy and suffering underneath all the sarcasm.

Tonight i make the final midnight journey for the last Harry Potter dvd ever made. 10 years leads up to this. Thank you JK Rowling for letting us believe in magic, my childhood, gone tonight.
Sobbing really isn't my best look, but whenever I see or hear something like this about Snape I can't help but cry. In reality, none of Harry Potter would have happened without Snape.

Not going to lie. At the movies, I cried my eyes out the second I heard Voldemort saying that Severus 'has been a good and faithful servant'. I know I wasn't the only one crying, I heard sobs from all around.
I watched the movie and i was SO angry at Dumbledore for raising Harry just to let him die at the end and that Snape actually cares about Harry and as saved his life so many times. Then i felt guilty at myself for hating Snape. :'(

Alan Rickman deserves a god damn oscar for his performance in the deathly hallows part 2. I cried like a baby during this part and my friends called me pathetic. I don't care. This scene really set the true actions of snape

Voldemort really screwed Sev over. Even if he THought he was the new master of the elder wand,,he could have duelled him for it without killing him..What a creep! He could have used avada cadavra on him to make it quick, but no, he sicked nagini on him...creep...
I really liked how sad they made Severus's death. They made it sad when Harry was beside him, and when he said "You have your mothers eyes" then i soooooo wanted to cry, but i spared it. And when the memories showed him being young and all he had been trough, i became even sader, but didn't cry. And when it showed him older and when he found Harry and Lily dead, I just couldn't cry. Now, i just still can't cry if i watch it over and over and over again.
All this talk about Fawkes and the Time Turners. It's a pretty big feat just to have the cloak of invisibility, the Elder wand, and the ressurection stone. Harry had all three! Two were given to him, he didn't find them on his own. Harry had tons of help from everyone, but Harry went thru some serious battles by himself. I respect that! I was hoping that dumbledore could have given Sev some phoenix tears just in case voldy sicked Nagini on him. An emotional roller coaster indeed!
I didn't like snape until I knew his story. I read the books first, but when he told Harry to look at him, I cried so hard. He was in love with her so much, so powerfully that he would care for her son who is fathered by someone he hates.
The seventh book and movie really get to the core of why Snape resented Harry as much as he did. Harry was not only a constant reminder of this woman that he loved, but of this man that he hated as well. When he looked at Harry, all he saw was something that he felt was taken away from him
Not only incomprehended, but also the slave of Voldemort AND Dumbledore. Slave of James and the love he had for Lily. Severus had never been one of my favorite characters, not even after I read the 7 book. It was when I watched the movie, when I saw all the memories mingled together, and the famous "you have your mother's eyes"... then I knew him. I knew the poor boy, mix of blood and always destined to be a slave, the one who does the dirty work. for the headmaster... the one who saves Harry...
oh, did you see the look on his face when voldermort killed him, I don't know how anyone could watch the whole thing, my eyes were watering! I always liked snape! It's just full of tragedies in the deathly hallows! Don't die!!!!
Why does Severus say: You have your mother's eyes? Because those 'intelligent' filmmakers just made Harry's eyes blue and Lily's black or something. And if Severus said just: Look... at... me, many people wouldn't understand it, cause they simply did not read the book.
I'm sorry, but the only reason why I like the movie is Alan Rickman. It's so much worse than the book!
But then again, I cried because of Alan. There could be no better Severus than him.
"You have your mother's eyes?" Wtf? He doesn't say that in the book. He just says "Take ...it....Take...it." I like the movies but they shouldn't change anything from the book. sheesh. And Nagini kills him though, not voldemort.
I think he said "You have your mothers eyes" as well to clarify with a movie audience as to why he asked Harry to "look at me", otherwise I suppose non book readers would get confused, plus its added more emotional content to the movies. In my opinion I have a more brutal vision of Snapes death from the book in my head, though the movie version was done really well too :)
The girl you just called a Mudblood? She spends hours practicing spells hoping people will like her. The boy you just stupefied? His parents use the Cruciatus Curse on him regularly. That kid you just pushed? He is trying to use the killing curse on himself. That guy you just made fun of for crying? Not going to lie. At the movies, I cried my eyes out the second I heard Voldemort saying that Severus 'has been a good and faithful servant'. I know I wasn't the only one crying, I heard sobs from all around.

I watched the movie and i was SO angry at Dumbledore for raising Harry just to let him die at the end and that Snape actually cares about Harry and as saved his life so many times. Then i felt guilty at myself for hating Snape. :'(

I will love Severus Snape, always. I felt so much guilt after his death for ever thinking anything bad about him, and--fictional or not--I think I would give nearly anything to take it back. Rest in peace, Sev.

Alan Rickman deserves a god damn oscar for his performance in the deathly hallows part 2. I cried like a baby during this part and my friends called me pathetic. I don't care. This scene really set the true actions of snape

I really liked how sad they made Severus's death. They made it sad when Harry was beside him, and when he said "You have your mothers eyes" then i soooooo wanted to cry, but i spared it. And when the memories showed him being young and all he had been trough, i became even sader, but didn't cry. And when it showed him older and when he found Harry and Lily dead, I just couldn't cry. Now, i just still can't cry if i watch it over and over and over again.

All this talk about Fawkes and the Time Turners. It's a pretty big feat just to have the cloak of invisibility, the Elder wand, and the ressurection stone. Harry had all three! Two were given to him, he didn't find them on his own. Harry had tons of help from everyone, but Harry went thru some serious battles by himself. I respect that! I was hoping that dumbledore could have given Sev some phoenix tears just in case voldy sicked Nagini on him. An emotional roller coaster indeed!

I didn't like snape until I knew his story. I read the books first, but when he told Harry to look at him, I cried so hard. He was in love with her so much, so powerfully that he would care for her son who is fathered by someone he hates.

The seventh book and movie really get to the core of why Snape resented Harry as much as he did. Harry was not only a constant reminder of this woman that he loved, but of this man that he hated as well. When he looked at Harry, all he saw was something that he felt was taken away from him

Not only incomprehended, but also the slave of Voldemort AND Dumbledore. Slave of James and the love he had for Lily. Severus had never been one of my favorite characters, not even after I read the 7 book. It was when I watched the movie, when I saw all the memories mingled together, and the famous "you have your mother's eyes"... then I knew him. I knew the poor boy, mix of blood and always destined to be a slave, the one who does the dirty work. for the headmaster... the one who saves Harry...

Why does Severus say: You have your mother's eyes? Because those 'intelligent' filmmakers just made Harry's eyes blue and Lily's black or something. And if Severus said just: Look... at... me, many people wouldn't understand it, cause they simply did not read the book.
I'm sorry, but the only reason why I like the movie is Alan Rickman. It's so much worse than the book!
But then again, I cried because of Alan. There could be no better Severus than him.

I think he said "You have your mothers eyes" as well to clarify with a movie audience as to why he asked Harry to "look at me", otherwise I suppose non book readers would get confused, plus its added more emotional content to the movies. In my opinion I have a more brutal vision of Snapes death from the book in my head, though the movie version was done really well too :)

That kid you just pushed? He is trying to use the killing curse on himself. That guy you just made fun of for crying?
