She's sure she can tackle her debts, no matter how they're forged (some, but not many, with credit). That's a majority, I think. So sure, of their own circle, forgetting that, macrocosmically, the same things are happenng; the country has debts, with credit. She and others are sure of their worlds without knowing the effects of the others outside.
