and dont laugh....these old dinosaurs will beat anything off the line...i beat a blackbirdxx and all cbr 600s, gxsrs R-6s zx-6s, and i even beat an R-1 once, but i just dont believe the guy new how to race it! R-1s have kicked my ass before bad and thats the bike i would truely like to get, but i know i'd kill myself on it...because for the past thirty five years of racing bikes i just love to dump the clutch and give full throttle by instinct!

the title you'll see will say 87 and 88 honda 600 hurricanes....and dont laugh, these dinosaurs will beat all bikes off the line when i race, but off course the top end only gets up to 140 with a good tail wind! but now if you see these bikes you'll know its me! later

does anyone know by the way if they still make water wetter anymore...i have some in my other bike and wanted to put some in other bike, went to three local dealers and they said that they dont stock it anymore...so i just use water now.

can anyone tell me what the minimums are for passing trackday tech or which clubs have the simplest requirements...i might be riding up that way and would like to get in some track time.. i have to race this track, it looks totally awesome!

most track day providers out here require water wetter instead of coolant, leathers or textile suit that zips together, boots, gloves, helmet, and back protector. Health insurance is also pretty much required. I recommend z2trackdays for the BEST trackday experience with wonderful instruction.

Im going around the net looking for the perfect track and so far have found Fontanna and laguna Seca rating 10"s.."( "only for pavement consistency".)"..i just viewed Chuckwalla and i gave them a 9 but for a new track i should have only rated them an 8 after viewing this video. Thunderhill  has great technical flow, and its up there with Laguna Seca and it seems like it has a small cork screw... am i right? definitely have to hit this track up! oh and i rate this track a 10.

It is a fast, fun track. It does have an uphill corkscrew, which I went off of in the dirt once :)

@AtalkingPie Just want to say thanks for the info..by what you say im already set but cant find water wetter around anymore, I have it in my other bike but i think the dealers stopped stocking it.. so i"ll just put water in it and hope the temps on the way up dont overheat my bike! Oh and how much is is for a day? or can i just do a half session? i dont want to eat up my tires too much..i needem for the ride up to Oregon and back to L.A

@axlerodder I got mine at Cycle Gear, you can always order online. Prices for trackdays at Thunderhill aren't very expensive, but usually you gotta pay for the whole day. I strongly recommend borrowing or renting a pickup truck from U-haul or something, as a trackday will wear you out, and you won't want to keep riding, unless you're a super human :) check out z2tracks dot com for pricing info

@AtalkingPie Its really great of you to reply so quick, maybe i'll meet you on the track sometime soon and can thank you in person for you help..as far as being super human, no way... im an old man and can only handle about 7 hours straight riding, then the back starts to giving out, couple hours break... then im back at it again like i did last week when i went to laguna seca and i'm going again this weekend!

@axlerodder No prob! I was going to be filming at Laguna Seca this weekend but need to finish more videos.  All my newer videos are posted on the 4theriders channel . I'm at every z2 trackday doing film and photography for riders, so if you attend a Z2 day, I'll be there for sure. 7 hours of straight riding is pretty damn good! Way more than I can handle!

Yesterday (10-7-09)was my very first track day at Thunderhill!!  Had a great time. Friendly atmosphere, great instructors, and the ladies sure can ride! This video is awesome. What song is used for this video? Thx.
