  • Roy Field was not mocking Jesus. He was saying things as they were

  • Roy Fields- You are beautiful.... JESUS in YOU the hope of glory.

  • no,ahouse-you will be called a pharisee for denying the power of God.you have a VERY BIG GOD in a very small box you sad little man

  • He's not "MOCKING" Jesus. He's givng an illustration in easy-to-understand language, and using humor. I'm sure God has a sense of humor. If He doesn't, I wouldn't want to worship such a stuck up God. Where do you think humor came from??? "It's not biblical" has become another cliche' among people who want to build themselves up by tearing other ministers down. I'm sure there are a lot of things you say and do that aren't BIBLICAL; one is stirring up discord and strife in the body of Christ.

  • @Refining1 In the beginning was the Word, not the bible. John 21:25 man, God can't be contained in mere books like the Bible! Abraham didn't have a bible and he was the father of Faith that comes by hearing and hearing by the Word! What biblical basis did Moses have to part the red sea or the visions Isaiah had? Why didn't they quote scripture? We must be led by the Great Holy Ghost that leads us to all truth and read the Bible through the lens of Jesus Christ! Love you buddy o/

  • When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. 7 And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing. .....how can you say this is distorted hmmmm strange people

  • You know Jesus has a sense of humor to.There are a lot of comedians (christian comedians) that uses humor like this to reach people.Even my self bible calls it the calling away.We call it the rapture. And I use humor about that.I like to do pratical jokes.None that hurts people but just to get a laugh,I said Since I do jokes down here he will do a joke on me in the rapture.he will call out Come up hither. No stay back down.Come on up no stay back down. And use me like a yo-yo.

  • hey buddy, how many miracles has God used you to do lately?

  • clearly, you haven't been to any of the services he was a part of, he has a magnetic vibe, there is a magical feeling of the holy spirit overwhelming the whole space and there is a reason he is traveling around the world! he is charismatic and fun to listen to! and i dont mean he's comical or fun to listen to in a way that disrespects god, people, get out of the box! God bless y'all ! One love

  • was there, it was a great message. powerful time of ministry as well.

  • "...if a man have long hair it is a shame unto him" 1Cor.11:14 We know this man does not follow the Jesus of the Bible, but the false Jesus Paul talked about.

  • @eptx1983 1cor11:13-14 (amplified) enphasize the last few words is a dishoner TO HIM not to Jesus

13Consider for yourselves; is it proper and decent [according to your customs] for a woman to offer prayer to God [publicly] with her head uncovered?

14Does not the native sense of propriety (experience, common sense, reason) itself teach you that for a man to wear long hair is a dishonor [humiliating and degrading] to him do the women of your church cover their hair when they prophesy?1 Cor 11:6

  • @davifjardim Well first of all I would not quote a corrupt translation, and second the context of the passage is coming in to God services or church for prayer. And to answer your question my wife does wear a covering when we come to church services but she does not prophesy. It historically and biblically shows a humble and submissive spirit. Which is off the topic off what I commented on this false prophet.

  • @eptx1983 well the reference you used was 1 cor 11:13-14 so it wasnt off topic bro. but you have a hard heart and probably consider me to be a false prophet or corrupt having a diferent aproach i supose. but hey, the greatest of all is love o/ so keep loving people dude.

  • yes..spit and mud...it's in the scripture...:)

  • God's ministry is not about us, it's about Him. We are given His Spirit for many reasons, mostly to fight the war on worldly lusts so that we can gain entrance into His new Creation: the New Jerusalem. "But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." Romans 13: 14

  • Don't believe me? You, whom call yourselves Christians, take it before the LORD in humble prayer; ask Him, and, just like with all sins, HE WILL BE ALL TOO HAPPY TO SHOW YOU THE TRUTH INSIDE OF THE CIRCUMSTANCE (He will provide you with clarity on the issue or topic that you are asking Him about). And this would be the guidance of the Holy Spirit! :):)

  • Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Titus 2: 6, 12—14

  • Shalom

He was at the City tempal in Cardiff for week's He was going around churches in Wales I went to see him' I had to leave It just didn't feel right it's not of God.

last week I felt God telling me to go back to the city tempal. I didn't want to ' I had asked God were he wanted me. So I went back on Sunday. to find Roy Fields is still in Wales and was at the tempal that night my friend asked me to say I told her I stay. I had to wait in the other Room I had the same feeling .

  • "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man." Matthew 15:19, 20 (KJV)

  • Incredible to see how Christians fight against each other. Everybody thinks he knows everything, holds the only correct view and interpretations. No wonder people stop believing in God.

  • A real born again Christian has the discernment to know that Todd Bentley and his group are false converts!!!!

  • Dude ur wrong it IS in the Bible that he spit in his hand and put it on the blind mans eyes!!. LEARN HOW TO READ!!.

  • I lubb Roy FEillddds duh Voyse off our hebbenlee fawdurrp

    C:

  • This is what happens when idiots preach. If you knew context, you would understand that healers often used mud to heal people. Jesus was being subtle in this miracle, and they blow it up to defend Todd BAM BAM Bentley's false revival. Dutch Sheets is the only smart one to repent. Patricia King eventually got upset that he was divorcing and being "restored."

  • For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints 1 Cor 14:33. Being "drunk in the spirit" doesn't mean like being drunk off of alcohol, it means filled by The Living Holy Spirit, An "intoxication" of spiritual awareness. This is the immature given positions of the mature. And if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around his neck. Mark 9:42

  • It's funny that Roy is slaming the pharisees of today, in this clip. and this gets posted. lol

  • its not in scripture? it says he annointed his eyes with the mud

  • Why do these guys always twist that bit about Jesus mixing spit with sand and rubbing it on the blind man's eyes into Jesus coughed up an oyster and horked it into his face?

  • Comment removed

  • That is Soo wrong!

  • ey nathan by the way Jesus never spit on anyone what my Bible says is that Jesus spit in the dirt and placed the "mud "on the blind mans eyes then told him to go wash it off so i dont know where you got your bible but you might think about taking it back because of the typos!!!!!!!!

  • and that with my whole heart i thank you for hearing our words tonight and know that every word has been heard and that this prayre will be answered in your perfect time and that we might feel a little uncomfortable through this correction but Lord we all seek only your will whatever that takes and only for your Glory Lord are we even bold enough to prey this tonight

  • to the truth of your Love and way. Lord I ask that the path we are on becomes narrower and narrower straighter and straighter brighter brighter untill we are in alighnment with your perfect will Lord Jesus knowing that our selfish ways will get in the way of your will and that our will must be broken to come into your full and blessed presence Lord I know that i know idont have it all figured out and that i am a sinner saved by Grace that i am not special and that this prayer is my cry to you

  • chosen for us. lord start with me and shake everything i stand on shake us lord

so that when you have moved upon us all and shaken our world our universe untill everything that is not of you crumbles and falls untill we are on our knees begging for your correction so that we may stand again Lord. Please lord use that to remind and even teach us Lord that the only reason we are allowed to stand or even breathe today is because you allow it

remove those splinters and planks that are blinding us

  • now for anyone who judges another to be less then Christian I will pray for you right now.Dear Lord King of Kings,God of Gods

our One True Lord and Savior, I come to you now begging mercy and forgiveness for my transgressions sins and shortcommings knowing as you know that we all fall short every day of your Glory

and that without you we would surely fall.Right now Lord I ask that you touch each one of us,your children, and place us on the path you have

  • starting a church and she was at the time i spoke to her deciding and telling her flock that she was giving up and calling it quits on the whole church idea.I feel honored to know and understand that when one removes themselves from the situation and offeres thenselves selflessly in Gods service whole heartedly

that God can and will use them for His purpose ,Thank you Jesus Amen.

  • going on in her life .and that i had followed Gods' instructions ,The next morning one of her friends that had been on the pool deck and witnessed this came up to my pastor and me eating breakfast and asked if i knew who she was or what the message was about i said i had no idea that i was symply being obedient to the Holy Spirit. the lady

told me that the lady i had spoken to was a Pastor of an upstart church inNY and that some men from other churches were telling her to give up

  • another evening i wa sitting on the pool deck and noticed a very upset lady surrounded by friends, i started praying for her to receive peace and clearly heard in my ears Blair tell her i approve of what she is doing and to not give up or quit" i went and pulled her aside from her groupe because i had no idea who she was and was a little shaken i repeated what God had just told me to tell her and she went hysterical and started crying. i went away regretfully but knew i had no idea what was

  • a way to get out of jail long enough to make it to the outpouring. my friend i met flew all the way from Finland to be there the first time i met her she was sparkling with gold dust on her as was her son. Years later that still is happening to her in Finland!!!My Pastor received a gold tooth instantly and miraculously on one of our days there.

  • I was there for several days,i saw and heard many many miraculous things and heard stories from people who never came within 10 miles of the tent. the housekeeper at the hilton i stayed at told

me and my pastor a story about her athiest husband in jail she visited him during the outpouring and apparently he was a violent offender video visitation only

she told me he was covered in gold dust that she could see clearly tn the screen

he confirmed he was covered in gold and was begging to find

  • Girly Man!

    IT'S STILL A SHAME

    1 Cor. 11:14

    VILE=SHAME....SHAME=VILE!

  • demonic goof

  • haha I love it!! Roy is so funny! He's one of my favorite ppl to hear preach.

  • roy fields is right on. many people are too pharisaical and tainted with religion to even recognize the real Jesus and the way He operates. His ways are not our ways. bless you roy!

  • Everyone is laughing about his interpretation so he can get all the attention. He is self-centered and has lack of confidence. If anyone of you had helped someone in a lot of ways than would you like anyone to interpret making fun of the help that you did? Think about it! Look at the situation outside the box and not from the inside!

  • Oh, and about "Biblical exegesis", Roy never has claimed to be a theologian or a scholar, btw. (-:

  • Roy wasn't mocking Jesus, come on people! He was mocking the attitudes that are obviously present today as they were when Jesus was on earth. He was mocking the Pharisaical, holier-than-thou attitude that gets easily offended by something that goes against the religious boxes some Christians put Jesus in.

  • What's your problem with this guy. I happen to know that when he found out what Todd was doing, he left Lakeland immediatly!

  • Right on!!!

  • OMG! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? LOL..O my this is not the interpretation (scroll on the screen)...You are the one he is mocking..not JESUS! This is called a modern interpretation so we can understand it...and relate to it...Hmmm i think Jesus did that with parables (u know stories)...And, i think the religous leaders of the day had a problem with that...Ringing a bell yet ?...who's side r u on ?...Maybe u r on the side of the religous leaders who cry, "BLASPHEMY"!!!..TOO FUNNY..YOU DON'T SEE THAT?

  • Everybody has A sense of humor. English has if has A sense of humour, not The sense of humor, interestingly showing that not everyone necessarily has the same. And for all of you thinking :" Well, I liked it, then God liked it too".... don't be presomptuous.

  • If anyone doesn't think God has a sense of humor please read this debate because how serious some people take themselves is too funny

  • WOW..people actually believe this whole organisation is of God..Read your bibles people..

  • oh come on ahouseisnotahome...

  • what do you mean? this guy takes it too far

  • Thanks for sharing at least this much of his video. I liked Roy Field's interpretation very well, and I feel God's anointing on it very much.

  • God created humor and is the greatest comedian ever!!! Obviously you all see God as some sort of dictator intent on not wanting to have any joy in his relationship....

  • God a comedian?

You must be crazy sir, I have to say. With all the joy God gives, you have no right ever to call him a comedian. Go rather look up the definition of comedian in the dictionary.

  • are you implying that God doesnt like to have fun with his children? God has quite the sense of humor enjoy it....

  • 1)You have some nerve to call God a comedian (and the greatest of all no less), and not express any regret for it even 4 months later. 2)Think about it: every culture has a different sense of humor. What makes you laugh in your country will get you killed in another. If God is to have "quite the sense of humor", which one will it be? Why would it be your cultural sense of humor absolutely? To put it simply : God is not culturally bound =>God has no sense of humor.

  • I have nothing to regret by what I said 4 months ago because I ever said that my sense of humor was exactly like God's but why would he create laughter or humor if it was never meant to be used. you dont think that God chuckled when he created the platypus? I think he did but dont bother trying to change my mind I KNOW God has a funny side hopefully you will see it some day too....

  • schnoodlebug : 1)"Dont bother trying to change my mind" : this sort of outlook to life will seriously limit you. You should always be curious and ready to change the way you see things. God did not "create humor". Human conventions make you find things funny that other groups of people don't. God created men, and he is the real source of joy for men(though most don't know it).Laughter is one expression of joy and happiness.

  • schnoodlebug : 2)Humor is not equal to laughter. You can not say "God created laughter or humor". God created laughter as an expression of joy, and every culture develop its mechanisms to provoke laughter on a basis that is not necessarily related to joy or happiness. No, God did not chuckle. God is not a man, God is Spirit. Now, God is happy and gives us his joy, but that has nothing to do with the buffoonery WE create to entertain ourselves.

  • so your saying that God only made our looks different and not our likes and dislikes. You Say that God didnt create the different emotions? I REFUSE to see God as some stiff spirit in heaven who only finds faults in everybody because that sure is how your painting God in your comments I believe God has a sense of humor and if you dont good for you but I know that God has a sense of humor and that God isnt limited by someone's culture ...

  • 1)I don't see how you come with the stiffness accusation, while I've maintained that God was happy and the only true source of joy. If to you joy equals humor, then I'm sorry, God is not the source of humor. Man is. 2) I haven't said God did not create the emotions.Tricks we do to make our friends laugh are humor. They are cultural.Humor is not an emotion, happiness is.God gives happiness.Men do humor.

  • Well we will know what God is like when we get to heaven then.

  • G-D has a GREAT sense of humor! Come on read the Bible. Heal a skin problem by taking a bath in a muddy river seven times, put mud on a blind eye made with spit, it goes on and on...the foolishness of G-D is wiser than man

  • Terrible, even for a long-haired hippy. Just awful!

  • Roy Fields is awesome... He makes scripture REAL to us today. I'm sorry you do not understand his idea of preaching... you need to be touched with Joy.

  • This guy is an ignorant fuck just like that fat pig Bentley!!

  • Look at the way you talk, while you call someone else names!!!!!

  • I love Roy! And that was funny. He wasn't "making" fun of Him lol. and Jesus was laughing to!!

  • Well...he gave us noses. Obviously he has a sense of humor :D

  • That was funnyyyyyyyyyyyyyy hahahah

  • Well great. The AOG Church isn't the best Church in the world. Now I'm wondering...how did he 'twist' the scripture to support the 'violence' in lakeland?

I wasn't at the Lakeland Revival but I want to know what exactly happened there that has you rild up? Maybe then I may understand, cause from what I know it was one of the greatest outpouring of the Spirit on man in recent years.

  • He did spit, and he did spit in the dirt. The thing that Roy is emphasising is that the blind man had NO idea where the spit went. It could have gone on the blind man, it could have gone on the dirt.

Let me add that this miracle is very very close to false miracles performed by healers who healed without God's name.

How about you go and discern whether you are a false prophet spreading lies or if you are a someone bringing truth.

And on the comedy statement, bringing Joy? HE is my joy?

  • Let me ask. Have YOU read the verse, and have YOU read the verse in context.

You try to disprove some of the greatest teachers in the world, and yet YOU don't even consider to think if YOU are the false prophet.

  • You defend some of the worst false teachers in the world and you think the problem lies with us? ;)

God bless you, yes we have read the context but also the context of Roy Fields which is dominion/new breed and latter rain. All rejected by the AOG church years ago. we are told to make sure of all things and expose the darkness, sorry if this offends you.

  • Amen. Todd and this Roy are spiritual criminals. The AG is right on this stuff. This latter rain, dominion, and word of faithers are actually fighting against God with their movements. Thank you ,they (the AG) rejected this revival.

  • Simply disgraceful. The gospel and stand-up comedy don't mix.

  • Well said GlorifiedTruth, you summed it up in one sentence.

    God bless

  • You're right. God has absolutely no sense of humor at all. He never smiles, and we certainly will NEVER laugh in heaven. I can't wait to go to your idea of bliss! /sarcasm.

  • Comment removed

  • Its funny that just because you find this humorous, you feel God would think the same way.

I know God has a sense of humor, but everyone's sense of humor is different, including God's. Best not assume His is as LOOSE as ours.

  • at first i thought this guy was actually going to try to preach, then I realized it was a comedy skit.

i don't know what he was thinking...

  • I wish more people realized that...

  • You know what, i'm done trying to explain myself on this issue. I wrote some extensive posts previously about how I feel on this video. Read them (and realize they are just an opinion). Also I want to add again, I don't know Roy, I've never listened to anything else he has said so I don't know is he's preached bad stuff before so i'm not defending Roy, I'm defending my opinion on this video clip.

  • so if anyone laughs during church are they lost??????

  • It is one thing to laugh at an innocent joke...it is another to laugh at mockery and blasphemy of Jesus.

  • You're about 2 months late :), please, if you read some of the earlier posts you will better understand my opinion on the subject. unfortunately they're probably at the very bottom of the thread. Happy reading :)

  • Yeh sometimes these post set up make it hard...I wish it was more organized.

  • I speak from a point of view of someone who worshipped alongside Roy fields only a month ago, post-florida-revival, who has spoken to Roy a great deal before and after meetings sharing a lot with one another. It's a shame he has to get attacked by those who should stand at his side, despite any denominational differences. He certainly understands reverence and fear of God, this clip is simply not on that subject.

  • Christians are one of the only few who Kill their wounded. People like Todd Bently try and bring the gospel to a generation the likes of those critics here could NEVER reach with such an attitude and because he is a sinner and makes a mistake all of a sudden anything good or right he did with pure intentions is all demonic.

If only all of our lives were scrutinized so heavily.

In the military we risk our lives to save a wounded, or even bring home the dead body of a soldier.

    This is pathetic

  • Did the Bible really imply Jesus to be ugly? I find that hard to believe. I dont believe anyone is TRULY ugly. Only in one persons perspective can they be.

  • I believe Isaiah 53 says there was nothing in his appearance that people would desire, this does not say he was ugly at all. I agree with your observation 100%

  • @Ahouseisnotahome - Isaiah 2b-3 said it this way: " he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.

He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not."

Keep up the good work. Remember that these pulpit pimps are God's judgement on those who will go after them with itching ears. They don't want to hear the truth!

  • evil.....provided that the whole congregation is not a bunch of baby believers in christ or a bunch of jerks. hopefully there are mature believers always mixed in your congregations that can discern between good of evil.......if you label mature believers as 'pharisees'.......i worry not that you have judged or not........your acting like a 'jerk' for no better termanology in modern english and i would say 'you are unrepentant from the beginning and have a deep love affair with sin'

  • in accordance with the redemption offered through the blood of jesus. the work of jesus' atonement makes it possible for the lost (those outside of christ) to have redemption. the baptism in the holy ghost seals this as so, so that all may see and judge this is as so.

that said...........can we judge a application of the gospel...........yes

can we judge whether or not a known believer walks in the spirit? ....yes....by reason of usuage of the word of god we should know between good or

  • why dont we judge??!! because those who are in sin (anyone who is outside of the faith of christ) is judged already and is under condemnation according to scripture. they are judged already and are doomed.

do we tell them that on the basis of the shear fact of their doom in light of the gospel or do we tell them that in light of any particuare act they do which results from the already present nature of sin within them.

rightouse judgment speaks to the nature of sin already judged in the man

  • Also I dont think you should shun anyone. Who are you to judge wether someone will come to christ or not. Bring them in with open arms. It may just skewed views that with some hardcore scripture searching can be fixed. You can't just throw them out to fend for themselves, they'll never come back.

  • Well, thats on them if they dont want to come back. It says in the Bible not to "mingle" with non-believers, how much more with a guy like him?

  • Right, I know, bad character corrupts good morels. Basically, I guess i'm just saying I wouldnt throw anyone out. I still want to know what the many things you think are wrong with my previous posts are.

  • Hi I also wouldnt throw anyone out, also I dont think the scripture about shunning (1st Corinth 5?) is applicable here (I could be wrong). I do totally agree with JudgeEdens other comments.

I see the world mocking Christ and I see this man mocking Christ. Sometimes it is hard to distinguish the world from RFields.

I can see where you are coming from but yes, we will have to agree to disagree on the amount of respect 'we' feel we should have for THE son of God.

    God bless

  • Dont get me wrong, Ahouse. I'm not saying Christ doesn't deserve respect and I do see others mock him all the time (I saw plenty of it in the military). I'm just saying that from my point of view I dont see him mocking Christ in this 2:43 clip. He may have done it other times, but I only see someone presenting Christ from a comedic standpoint (with the jokes being about man not God). Also, the way he is preaching is all milk, no meat. Learned Christians gain nothing from this. My opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • let me put this in another view. Is this a proper way to preach in a church, no. Is this a proper way to present the message of christ to non christian young adults, I think it's better. If you preach a non emotional message or you dont have a way to keep them interested in what your saying they will just talk to themselves the whole time and not listen to a word you say. I am not saying emotionalism brings people to christ because I know that HE does that himself. wish I could say more.

  • if you want to know where i'm coming from on this subject, just look at one of my 3 vids. Those are my kids and I miss them. I'll be back with them soon enough though

  • Now I see the way he's trying to present this and it's really from a comedic point of view. Get the people to laugh and they'll listen to your every word. Now I know that is not a great description of how it happened, but that IS how it happened. It wasn't a loogie but it was spit. I believe emotionalism is ok, to an extent. Is he going overboard, yea. I think the way he presents his message is more suited for middle or high schoolers really, all milk, no meat.

  • I'm not sure what Fields said that wasn't scriptural. He's just taking it out of King James and putting it into modern day. I can understand the need for respect of God, but let's be real. Jesus hawked a loogie in the dirt, rubbed it in the dude's eye and he was healed.

  • "Loogie" implies there was snot mixed with the spit, where is that small detail in the Bible? If its not there, please, just shut your mouth.

  • hey Judge, I never said he used a loogie (did you even read what I wrote?????). He used it as a comedic reference to get peoples attention. Also, why so harsh, "just shut your mouth", i'm just chatting and showing my viewpoint. There's nothing wrong with that. Heck, part of learning more about your faith is to talk to others about Christ because not one person has all the answers. You need to compare everything to the bible so just calm down.

  • I apologize if I seemed a bit rude, I get a bit hasty with my response sometimes. Still, I think what Roy is saying and doing here is totally out of line and of bad taste.

I think anyone acting as he is should be completely shunned. Professing to be a believer, yet seemingly mocking Him.

  • now i'm not saying I approve of Roy, this is all I've ever heard of him so I don't know what he is all about but I still dont see him mocking GOD. I do see him mocking people's perception of Christ (:16-:21) and that he doesn't like it(:44-:52) and making fun of man's view on the subject (1:11-1:20). Also I would like to know the "many things" wrong with my post. All I see is a christian comedian trying to preach. Your saying we should never have christian comedians?

  • Mocking people's perceptions? You mean how the Bible describes Him? It is not safe in the least to assume God has such a loose sense of humor and laugh at things you shouldnt be.

Also, it is clear this man is mocking Christ, not the perceptions of believers like those offended.

If Roy was corrected of his off-base behavior and didnt correct it he should be shunned. The idea of shunning someone is totally biblical.

When I mentioned "many things wrong with a post", I was talking to someone else

  • with the "many things" post, ok, ust put someone's name on it next time :) On the other things though, I guess we can agree to disagree. I obviously have different convictions than you do and also see things in a different view (thats expected). As long we have the same Idea about who Christ is and why he came i'll hopefully see you later. Peace!

  • Lol, yeah, that would be nice. I'm sure our views of Christ aren't different at all. God Bless.

  • Jeez-oh-man, are you Christ-like? When did Jesus ever say "just shut your mouth," hmm? You keep your religion and I'll keep my Jesus. Ok, Jesus did not hawk a loogie. He spit in the dirt. Whether someone spits a loogie in your face or just spits in your face...... does it really matter? I mean, if there's some Biblical significance that I'm missing, please explain. I'm happy to learn and admit I'm wrong, but you're just coming off overly religious in my opinion.

  • Why are you bringing up old crap that doesn't concern you? That remark you comment on was resolved ages ago with the person I said it to. You act like I cursed him out.

If I seem overly "religious" I must be doing something right. And yes, I think it does matter if there was snot that he spit in the mans face.

What Roy Fields does is over exaggerate, and doing that isn't good for anybody when speaking of things from the Bible.

  • And to add what I said, Jesus may not have said "Just shut your mouth", but he has called people vipers (a generation of snakes as well), he has also chased people out of a temple while beating them with whips before.

Are you going to call Him overly religious? Contrary to popular opinion, Jesus is no limp wristed person.

  • Oh and ONE more thing. I would recommend you not use the word "Jeez" anymore. That word is actually slang for Jesus' name. So, essentially, your taking His name in vain.

  • although I agree with the don't use Jeez, I ask if you possibly have an anger problem?

  • I let my emotions control my posts at times, it can get a bit out of hand. But to answer your question, no, I dont have anger problems. There are certain things that just really annoy me.

  • Wyant, just to reply. Although Jesus never said Shut your mouth, He did make a whip. To compare that as well when his mother asked him at the wedding feast to make wine he said "What is that to you and me?", essentially asking "Yeh...so?"

  • where is respect and reverence !!!

to the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, the one who hung on the cross for whole world.

I just dont like his pride and manner

    I think it s fair

to Praise and Honor and Glory in all that Jesus ever done

  • I couldnt agree more.

    God bless

  • Precisely my point about the emotionalism in reaction to these people. Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't you full of hatred? So much worse! God is love, do you know Him? • I don't know most of the ministers so harshly criticized here, but my curiosity is now peaked. I think I can understand the concern about Bentley, but so far I have seen very little real scripture used against those associated with him (or those from Toronto) to convince me that they are being driven by demons or in gross error. What I constantly see are scriptures being spun incorrectly to support opinions based on emotion rather than truth. I discuss this emotionalism in my blog. Come visit!

  • Disgusting!! when we mention the Name of Jesus, WHO IS GOD, it should be done with respect and reverence!!

  • Roy has his own ministry called Fresh Fire Ministries and it is not Todd Bently's ministry!

  • Fabulous Video Sir...I hate Todd Bentley's ministry...He was visited by demons and told to commence that demonic ministry and to masquerade in the false holy spirit...Todd Bentley is a possesed heretic...Clear as day...

  • you are out to lunch. Do you know God?

  • i think this is really good...its not really a misinterpritation...its more of an exageration of what happend because jesus did do what roy said he did but he exagerated it to make the point jesus isnt the jesus we see in stain glass windows...he wasnt a guy that cared about peoples stupid little complaints because everytime he was confronted by religiouse people and pharisees he would offend them...this is the jesus i love for being blunt and for setting an awesome example for us as christians

  • Wow. You are taking an "interpretation" way out of line here. He's not saying "this is literally how it went" but he is pointing out how radical Jesus was. It's his own way of depicting it, he is never EVER saying "THIS IS EXACTLY HOW JESUS SPIT AND HOW THE GUY RESPONDED"...wow..get over yourself..

  • ok, lets give the guy a credit. He may not preach, but he is a nice singer....You know some preacher think they are singer and some singers think they are preacher

  • Stand in the presence of God and say roy fields is not a powerful figure of the almighty creator. I do not dare you, I implore you to not be so foolish.

  • Howdy, we stand in the presence of God on the basis of what we think of Christ not of what we think of Roy Fields. This is the underlying reason for this video, Roy is telling you exactly what he thinks of Christ and he has reduced him to being the biker booted spitting kicking man of Todd Bentley.

This, to me, is true foolishness and a treading underfoot of the Son of God. A mockery to say the least.

    Tak care.

  • I beg to differ.

  • I think is funny that people on here are saying that is not in the Bible and that this was a bad exegesis of this passage. In reality it is the most accurate. John 9:6 uses the word spat or uses saliva according to your translation. If you go to the strongs number which is 4408 they all mean "to spit". Spit in the clay and make mud is exactly what Jesus did in this passage. I think you guys need to go read your Bible.

  • Hello, John 9 does not support the mockery you are seeing in this vid. No one here denies that Jesus spat in the mud so you have raised a red herring.

It seems pointless to go through this conversation again as its been had throughout this thread.

Anyway, take care nd defend Christ and not mere puppets of Todd Bentley.

    Be wise

    God bless

  • I am not defending Todd or Roy. I could care less. The words that go across the screen on this video say"This is not in the Bible and this is a bad exegesis". My point was that, yes it is and it means exactly what Roy is saying it means. I'm not for making fun or being disrespectful either, but keep in mind, Jesus wasn't the figure that the Pharisees were comfortable with either. They killed Him.

  • I guess the pharisees would be comfortable in the presence of Roy since they mocked Christ regularly too.

The bad exegesis is the snorting spitting eye poking mockery of 'THE Lord' presented on the basis of what is supposedly said in John 9.

It appears there is nothing sacred anymore.

    God bless

  • It has been established that this young man is not distorting scripture, he isn't mocking Jesus either. What is going on here is that you are offended at the lack of "sacredness" in this young man's delivery. For you to say this man is mocking Jesus is a lie. To say he is guilty by association is judging & totally against scripture. To use scripture to spin things to fit your opinion is deception. Be careful! Use your intellect rather than your emotion to discuss these things; do so in love.

  • The problem is with people like you who blindly support what they do. Is he, or is he not having people laugh at what hes saying?

He is making a comedic act at the Lords expense. There are so many things wrong with your posts. Why should we NOT be offended by someones lack of respect for the Father and Jesus?

Tell everyone here ONE GOOD REASON we shouldn't be offended?

  • Roy Fields was a minister before Todd Bentley. He was invited to Lakeland by the pastor. He was actually under Rodney Howard Browns ministry. He is not a puppet of Todd Bentley. He did the worship for that Lakeland church. Todd did teach some false doctrines but, Roy is a worship evangelist who travels to differn't churches. He is NOT a part of Todd's ministry. I know the man. Todd Bentley i believe has a ministry in Canada.

  • What false doctrine did Bentley teach? Message me.

  • Kudos. +1

  • I agree. This the worst exegesis ever. This false teacher doesn't have the good sense to open his BIBLE (if he owns one!) and READ the passage(s) he massacred trying to be funny. A lot of these so-called teachers want to be the next Chris Rock or Jon Stewart instead of studying "to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15).

  • God has to have a sense of humor.HE CREATED MAN!!

  • I am glad that you explained that to me. Because I thought being a Christian was going to be fun. But since you said that what Roy said is not true. I think I will not get saved now. Because I don't want to be boring. What s he was saying seemed fun. Thanks a bunch.

  • Fun? Christianity is NOT about having fun, its about embracing truth and giving due respect to the one who made you.

To go into Christianity with the thought of having fun with it is utterly disrespectful and rude. Although, im sure you weren't serious.

  • lol wow lighten up!! Do you really think God would want us to be depressed and not enjoy ourselves! how on earth are you meant to get kid's and young teenagers excited about Christianity if you don't include fun! Yes...i agree...it's very serious...Jesus dying on the cross is extremely serious. but when we praise and worship him, are you saying we can't enjoy ourselves and jump around and praise God that he sent his only son to set us free!?

  • Preach it.

  • I agree with you Eberscence, it IS totally disrepectful. we have fun and enjoy being Christians but the purpose of Christ was not to bring us a knees up. We do not embrace Christianity because it will be 'fun' we embrace it because its true, and that often brings trials and tribulations but also hope, joy and faith knowing that Christ has conquered the world.

God bless and tahnks for your comment

  • Get over yourself. Have your own ministry, don't tear other peoples down. It will be your own surrendering in your own life that will manifest the calling that God has put on your own life. Don't discredit workers of the kingdom that minister in ways that you don't like.

  • Being a Christian is fun! It's amazing the experience and connection you can have with God. My grandfather says: "Keep it simple - believe and have faith" ... it's honestly as simple as that! People are getting so worked up about whether to have fun or not and they aren't concentrating on the important things!

  • Also, when he said "creator of the universe" why did he use quotations? As if he doesn't even believe HE IS? No wonder this is so easy for him.

I get the cold sweats just implying something bad or inappropriate of the Father. People need to treat Him with more respect.

  • So true, JudgeEden. Sadly, most people won't show proper reverence to our Father and his Son until it's too late (Romans 14:11,12).

  • Lol, im glad your one of the few who understand. There should be more like you.
