one time i was at a pub with my mom and we were waiting around 20 minutes.. it would have been soomewhat understandable if the pub was super-busy... only.. IT WASN'T! there were 4 waitresses on and 2 tables on (we were one of them). we were fed up and brought our plates up to the bar and threw them down (nicely, not breaking them) and the waitresses were so confused. idiots! we got 50% taken off for their lack of service...haha!

I have no Idea what shelling prawns (if that's what you said...a type of shell fish I guess?), but I do hate doing work or even getting up from the table when I'm eating. What really bugs me is a server that gets too close...this only happened oe, but at an Italian restauant in Montreal (that ironic) there were like 3 waiters all asking me if I needed anything like every minute...it made me sick and I couldn't eat until I left the restauant for a short walk and came back.
