iphone 3.0 is on all iphone generations..the 3gs has some features that the iphone 3g and 2g dont have though like video camera and compass..it explains all of this on the apple website

I have at&t already on a family plan which my dad got. I'm looking for a new phone (and a ipod.) I'm not really going to use the 3g coverage, I'm in a lot of free wi-fi areas so the internet is a nice feature but not one I will use often. My question is;

1)How much am I going to really spend on this thing. including the activation cost, price of a 16gb and monthly cost (if possible excluding 3g coverage)

2) Do i have to renew my contract/plan with At&t..

You have to look at youtube videos on how to get MMS working, which isn't even that important.

Psarlay, we have always had MMS, the iphone has just never had it since Apple decided it was a "adavanced" feature. JailBreak your iPhone and you can download a App that does it.

In the UK the iphone is tide to the o2 provider. They automatically set up the MMS feature about 5 mins after I upgraded to 3.0!!! Fantastic service. And by the way, Nice review by the way. Just try to find another word to replace 'cool' every now and then ;)

they didn't put a BAN on MMS, AT&T is unable to service MMS for the iPhone right now. they haven't banned it because there was never MMS for iPhone :P

It does have a video camera open your normal camera app there will be a switch on the bottom right to switch from still camera to video camera msg me if you find it or need more help.

It's really a great update and I urge all the other iPhone owners to UPDATE!

I love Apple and the stuff they come out with, but this should have been included from the get go of the iPhone launch. But better late then never!
