this is one of the reasons i stay up an watch carson daly b/c unlike all those other shitty Late Night shows Carson actually has interesting people on his show.exhibit A ^ (*points to video*)
I've always hated Carson Daly. I don't know if it's because he was a horribly uninteresting VJ or because he got to have sex with Jennifer Love Hewitt back in her "Party of Five" days, BUT his (seemingly) genuine interest and not-at-all-stupid questions here make me like him at least 88% more.
@jsuglia When did he mention money? I'm pretty sure he's content with how much he already has, and yet he still puts out a new novel every year. You wouldn't do that if you didn't love writing. He said in numerous interviews that the writing process (including research) is what he lives for. All writers write as a means to an end, whether it's for catharsis, the acclaim of their peers or money, but it's evident that Chuck writes because it's one of his favourite things to do in the world.
Goddamn Guts is the most disgusting thing I have ever read XD, but its such a brilliantly written story that it's easily one of my favorite pieces of writing.

I didn't think "Guts" was Palahniuk's best work, nor did it bring me even close to feinting, but it was certainly an interesting read.
