srr for the, maybe, rude question here. But, what makes this jazz? It was nice too hear though. And wouldn't it be more logical to call this fusion instead of Jazz metal ?
Maybe I should change it, the drum beat is a straight jazz loop, the playing isn't. So if you listen to the guitar it is metal, if you listen to the drums it is jazz.
So then it is jazz-metal, or metal over jazz, or fusion, whatever people want to call it, it is just music.
@bacanador yea I know, and I agree, it's just music but I can't help to question the label you gave to your music. Because.. metal is in a way allready provided with the essentials of jazz, just not the sound of it. If you really want a jazz kind of sound I think you should play over a standard jazz progression of chords. Such as II V Im or other progressions but the first is the most popular I believe.
Ibanez RG prestige, they don't make the same one anymore, the RG prestige today is different, this one has a mahogany body, I'll tab the tapping part soon
Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, not sure why you think they are senseless notes, It is played in the key of A minor, and there is structure, to some it might seem a little too much for a jazz-like backing track like the one used here, but the purpose was to mix the styles, but certainly destroying jazz was not the intent.
im a metal guitarist trying to play jazz too, im having trouble wrapping my head around it, but i just love jazz, but that is some good work, 5 stars and subscribed
Thanks for the comment, I agree with you, Jazz is so rich in every aspect that it just seems like the next step, whatever the style of music you play. I get criticized for saying that I play jazz, and the truth is I don't, however I am learning and trying to incorporate it into my playing when I create music, that is what it is all about.
