@jiv94 they are capacitors. they are suppose to help controll the sudden drain on the car's battery and electrical system depending how many watts you are pushing. capacitors almost have the same function as a battery except they dont hold a charge very long.

Oh and my friend bought single 12" Jbl woofer with an amp as a set. LOL the amp is WAY too weak for the sub. I dont know the exact watts of those items but it seems to me that the amp pushes out like 100w rms and sub needs like 400 :D

dude it's playing pretty well, but i think these frames protecting the speakers are giving it all a toy look, dont you think? it would look a lot more badass and cleaner if you would remove them :) its just my opinion, but its banging nicely!

The Box has 2Ω. Each woofer has 4Ω(connected parallel)

At first i was also using another amp. So I took the woofers out of the box and made 2 more connection points into the terminal. So I could connect each of the woofers individual.

You just need a screwdriver, 2 connection points and a small twist drill. I also connected the woofers with 4mm² cable. (the first one was quite thin)

Those are the GT5-12's.

No. I mean the GT-5 woofers are quite cheap and work very well.

But they are shurely not better than the pb1220!

The pb1220 was cured as the best and loudest woofer with serial made enclosure. The slipstream technology is very important for the pb1220 and this GT-5 woofers are shurely also happy about it ;)

Sounds more like volt drop due to the high current draw that is been pulled at a frequency, I.E. if you were pulling at a stable non modulated consumtion you would acheave a higher power facter of watts (VoltsxAmp's"I" = Watts) . You are correct to add an additional 1Farad cap as this will pool the watts to give a more stable respone to the Fets in the amp,

If the lights of your car start to blink, it means that the voltage goes down everytime the base slaps. That also means that the voltage at the amplifier falls down.

Best thing would be, if you buy an extra battery an mount it as near as possible to the amplifier.

It could work quite well, if its a good amp.. what an amp is it? Do you want to power extactly this Sub (JBL GT5-2402) with it or other woofers?

Ok.. Denon has really good quality! I've got two Denon Amps for Home Hifi.

Your Problem is, that this subwooferbox has only one Terminal for both woofers. So it has 2 Ohms, and if you want to bridge your amp, it will get broken with only 2 Ohms. You will have to install another terminal at the subwooferbox so you can power each woofer with one channel from your amp.
