Viacom owns Paramount. Viacom has been taking down everything of thiers from this site. They also are the guys who sued Youtube for a billion dollars. Plus it wont surprise me their lobbists are behind that new law that wants to make it so that you have to pay for a permit just to post videos on Youtube. In my opinion I believe the big media studios like Viacom dont want this place to exist. There's a strong possiblity of this place becoming the next Hollywood and they fear that.
You can't copyright a name. Cloverfield could be your middle name which you use to tag your video. It could be your nick name. Names or titles are not copyrightable material. If they were everybody in the world would have a different name, and no movies could have the same titles . . same with songs or bands.
You'd think by now studios would be embracing youtube as a way to get buzz out there. If they really wanted to get people hyped about the movie they should post an official version of the trailer. Taking the other ones down is just bound to piss people off and make them not see the movie they thought was cool enough to post in the first place.
