I don't know if the creator of this video will ever see my comment but I feel the need to share anyway. I am a Christian and I have been since I was 22, that was nearly 15 years ago and I just want to say how sad I am for you and anyone struggling with trials that we don't know how to respond. I have deep sympathy for what you must go through on a daily basis, I can't imagine what its like. I disagree with homosexuality. What I don't agree with is bashing anyone! Hate the sin, Love the sinner.
...And gay supportive Christians will be praying for the forgiveness of those who oppose them.
"I hate when fags try and justify their sin..."
It's good the person in the vid isn't doing so, but rather saying that being gay may indeed not be sin. If he's right, it's those who say so that might well have a problem with our Lord for bearing false wittness against their neighbors.
The parts of this passage many believe are in reference to homosexuality revolve around two Greek terms. The first has a number of meanings. The second is generally accepted as Paul's own fusion of the Greek words for "man" and "bed." Since Paul didn't specify what he meant by the first term or even define the second, it's uncertain he was referring to homosexuality at all MUCH LESS all same gender relationships.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9, 10)
AMEN...Only Jesus can clean the homos/witchcraft practitioners/cult member/pagans and others blinded by demonic forces of their sins. Gay arent hated by GOD, Jesus came to clean the gays of their sins. You may have felt you were born gay but you were born with spirits in you that are a result of the sins of your parents.Jesus can clean you of your demons if you ask.The end of the world came once (see ron wyatt noahs ark find) its coming again
He'll only "clean" those who allow it. This is difficult in the case of people who call something sin which may well not be in VERY possible violation of the Nineth Commandment. Too many cling to it needing to believe it as being true to justify what is slowly being looked on as a form of bigotry.
"Jesus can clean you of your demons if you ask."
Forgiveness is in reach when we ask it for ourselves and EACH OTHER, which is why Im sure gay ... (Cont.)
"Hi welcome to where all the cursed sinners come to reinforce lies in their own trapped minds and souls.Today were going to blah blah about nothing relevant and make ourselves feel ok in our perversion. We dont care that the creator of all came to the earth to clean us of our sins/demons because we value a piece of meat betwen our legs sending electrical impulses to the grey matter in our skulls more than an eternity with pure love and healing."
"Hi welcome to where all the cursed sinners come to reinforce lies in their own trapped minds and souls."
And you are most welcome who might well be accusing falsely in quite probable defiance of the Nineth Commandment. Such are perhaps greatest need of "an eternity of pure love and healing."
Right on fight the Good fight I realized that I needed God to help and protect me from the biggots and people who either mis qoute the sciptures they all should remember this scribtume "WHO SO EVER... if your arte a Christain you know the rest!
@c i thought my point was valid...let me rephrase it...Christians who are not gay say ultimately that one who is a christian can not be gay which to man in video is a person/s who is a bigot...because they attack alledge gay christians....so what the difference from him being a gay christian being intolerant and as he says in title he is fighting against them...then he by reason of fighting and intolerance is also a bigot. Thats my point, which is fair..theres got to be a better way to diaologue
"Christians who are not gay say ultimately that one who is a christian can not be gay...
By and large perhaps, yet it's important to note NOT all.
"...so what the difference from him being a gay christian being intolerant and as he says in title he is fighting against them...?"
By the question, do you mean that speaking out against any form of intolerance wheather it comes from a religous institution or the Ku Klux Klan is in and of itself a form of bigotry?
There is a new Facebook Group for Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Mormons, Pentecostals, Southern Baptists, and all religions and cultures who struggle to reconcile their religious beliefs with their innate traits, given by their creator at birth. I invite anyone of any culture or religion who is dealing with this conflict to join the new FB group. This kind of hatred, discrimination, and bias occurs all across all religions and cultures. The name of the FB group is Fundamentally Gay.
"It is the lust involved, and acting out on those emotions that are sin."
The NT also says heterosexual lusts and actions are sinful outside of marital boundaries. Since it says nothing about same gender marriage, saying homosexuality is sinful in all stiuations is presuming too much.
"I love gay people, but I hate the homosexual acts... That's what Jesus would say"
The last statement might be what you personally believe He would say. Since He said... (Cont.)
The parts of this verse appearing to address homosexuality center around two Greek terms. The first has several definitions, the second is Paul's fusion of the Greek words for "man" and "bed." Since Paul didn't specify the definition of the first term or define the second, it's not certain he was referring to homosexuality at all much less all types of same gender relationships.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (NIV). GOD DOES LOVE THE EVERYONE BUT HE HATES THE SIN ND BEING GAY IS A SIN IT ALL OVER THE BIBLE .
We are Christian not because we are perfect but because we are forgiven. Christ died for our sins because none of us are perfect. We all do things that we are not sopposed to do, that the bible condemns. It is not right to judge, but rather it is God's will for us to love.
You give hope to alot of people...I tripped over your channel on a Lady Gaga parody and dug further...I grew up in a family, community and city that all believed gay was a sin against god and I was beaten almost to death ten years ago as a teenager because of their ignorance over what I can and should be allowed to believe. I am a Christian, I believe in God and I have never let go of Him no matter how bad it has gotten. I escaped, thankyou for not leaving those who haven't behind Jerby.
"you can not read the bible try live accordingly and just skip over the part where its says you are an abomination for engaging in such acts.."
The Bible also says the same thing for making garments out of mixed fabrics as well as sowing a field with two different crops. This would be laughable in today's churches. Too bad so many Christians like to pick and choose their "abominations.": Oh, Jerby explains this himself in another vid, the name of which appears in the vid above.
I am not a basher or nothing like that.. im not im just saying you are wrong.. you can not read the bible try live accordingly and just skip over the part where its says you are an abomination for engaging in such acts..it puts you on the same level as those who engage in bestiality
"Some things don't take the bible to know its wrong, its common sense."
Exploiting the Bible to "prove" something's right or wrong as many have done in the case of slavery or the subjugation of women is looked upon as wrong now. Sadly, it doesn't keep many from doing what may well be the same thing once more in the case of same gender relationships.
Not everyone from "the religious right" is like that, sir. I am a conservative Christian and I am not like that. I believe in freedom of religion for everyone. That is why I am pro-choice about same sex marriage. I do not support it because I believe that it is wrong, but I am still pro-choice about it. This is a freedom of religion issue.
"the christians are one of the main reasons gay teens kill themselves"
This is horribly tragic. My hope is that more people will become aware that there ARE Christians who believe gays can be intimate and have a relationship with our Lord as members of the Church of Christ, Alliance of Baptist, and more recently the Episcopol and Lutheran Churches believe.
gays cant be real christians, its self hatred to say the least, the bible says its a sin,why would anyone want to be involved whith anything that says you are a horrible sinner.i am for gay rights big time, some people like to pick and choose what they want out of the fake fairy tale book called the bible.people are born gay so how could it be a sin?if i was gay i sure as hell would want nothing to do whith moron christians, gay people should have faith in eacthother and liberals like me.
There are Christians of both orientations who would disagree with you.
"its self hatred to say the least,..."
Interesting, others would say the true hate comes from those falling back on (right-wing) Christianity to justify what is slowly being viewed as a form of bigotry.
"the bible says its a sin,..."
That's what many Christians state about the Bible. Have you seen Jerby's other vid? It's mentioned in the blue square in the above vid?
@clay56 gay or straight i would rather be dead than a christian,my brother is gay and his partner goes to church and i laugh behind his back, its like blacks wanting to be in the kkk,i am very pro gay,one of my best friends is gay and i have gone to gay bars whith him, people like me care about gays not hypocrite christians.the christians are one of the main reasons gay teens kill themselves
I believe in darwin, I also think that god did too. No one ends up with a book more read cause I think science is relevant to faith as politics is to every spin doctor who tries to mar human endevour against god. If god could kill a prophet down dead in bc I'm sure he coukd do it ac. Or is it maybe, those evangelists who have no idea of gods plan? Anyone who knows gods true intention for the earth please comment below... I'd like to know from a real deity who's been chillin' with the dude.
"As for Paul, he didn't speak on his own accord. It was God's message he was preaching."
This wasn't always the case. For instance, he stated he was passing down a command from our Lord for women to be silent in Church (1 Cor. 14:34-37). Yet he states his advice for widows and the unmarried comes from his own wisdom (1 Cor. 7:25). He doesn't make this distinction either way in many other verses such as 1 Cor. 6:9.
But take heed of this, 1 Cor. 1:13: "Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?" to which he says: "For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel." Paul doesn't deny that he is only man, but he continued to serve Him and preach His word and His word only. So why state something so influential if it doesn't come from God?
I'm not trying to be one-minded, I promise. I'm very curious about the subject.
"Paul doesn't deny that he is only man, but he continued to serve Him and preach His word and His word only. So why state something so influential if it doesn't come from God?"
So we MUST assume everything Paul stated came directly from God unless he stated otherwise? That would be a personal presumption on the part of the reader and not neccessarily or entirely a matter of devine truth. I believe it was well and proper that Paul tried at times to make it clear what came directly from... (Cont.)
1 Corinthans 6:9-10: "Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, not adulterers, nor homosexuals, mor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."
I do not hate you, absolutely not. I love you very much, but you simply must understand that Christ Himself emphasized this. I don't listen to the bishops or the theologian or anybody else. I listen to Christ. His Word is the Spoken Truth.
"1 Corinthans 6:9-10: "Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, not adulterers, nor homosexuals, mor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."
The reply to this is in his other vid: "Why Gays CAN Be Christians.
"I listen to Christ. His Word is the Spoken Truth."
And He said nothing about homosexuality which is why stating He condemned it is TOO arguably stating too much on His part.
"But Christ is God. The Bible is the Word of God. Therefore is it not the Word of Christ."
Christ did not agree with all of Mosaic Law which is in the Bible. He overturned a number of laws, most notably divorce in Matt. 19:8-9, stating it was wrong "from the beginning." This leaves laws such as homosexuality that He didn't address in question. And while I believe the Bible to be inspired by our Lord who is perfect, He has, for reasons ONLY He can fully understand left its copying... (Cont.)
@clay56 But Corinthans is of the New Testament. I understand His changes such as "an eye for an eye" to "turn the other cheek". "An eye for an eye" and the permittance of divorce were both of the Old Testament. However, He condemned homosexuality in the NEW Testament.
Also, He places homosexuality among things such as extortion, theft and adultery (which He says those who divorce their husbands or wives are committing). That's pretty powerful and really depicts His contempt for it.
The teachings of 1st Corinthians are that of the apostle Paul and not of Christ. I believe you're referring to 1 Cor. 6:9 which Jerby in the above vid addresses in his vid: "Why Gays CAN Be Christians."
"Also, He places homosexuality among things such as extortion, theft and adultery..."
Christ is not recorded as having said anything about homosexuality. This again is from Paul's teachings in 1 Cor. 6:9, of which Jerby's other vid may be of help.
But just because Christ didn't SAY it, why does that make a difference? Christ doesn't literally have to utter the words for it to be part of God's Word. Paul was not the Son of God, sure, but he was a servant to Him. He preached God's Word. Why does it HAVE to literally come from Christ's physical lips (as it was the Evangelists who just recorded what they saw and heard, as you know - "according to") in order for it to be of Christian value?
"But just because Christ didn't SAY it, why does that make a difference?"
It's because He upheld a number of Mosaic Laws and overturned others. This leaves the laws He didn't address like homosexuality in question as to how He ultimately saw them. Many would try to exploit His teachings to prove homosexuality a sin when He said nothing about it. And as intelligent and wise as he truly seems to have been, Paul was NOT perfect as was Christ. And in any event, the meaning of two terms,,, (Cont.)
@clay56 So then why record it as part of the Bible? The New Testament is not just about Christ's life and death. Everything that follows is of equal significance and value.
See, it seems as though you subconsciously regard God and Christ as two different beings. They're one in the same. As for Paul, he didn't speak on his own accord. It was God's message he was preaching. And if Christ is the incarnation of God...it's not that hard a puzzle.
"See, it seems as though you subconsciously regard God and Christ as two different beings. They're one in the same."
The actual question is if our Lord whether in Spirit or in the incarnation of Christ forbade all same gender relationships. You appear to suggest that by His silence in the Gospels He upheld Mosaic Law. The problem is that while He upheld certain laws in Matt. 19:18, he overturned others, parhaps most notably divorce in Matt. 19:8-9 stating such a law was... (Cont.)
@clay56 You seem well-informed and read up of the Bible as a whole, which I admire and respect. But what I don't understand is why you separate Christ from God.
"But what I don't understand is why you separate Christ from God."
I think the Holy Trinity is a more difficult comcept than many may realize. I myself often wondered why our Lord would need to pray to Himself in the Garden of Gethsemane. The closest thing to an answer I've personally come to is that our Lord's will is more mysterious and complex than most any of us could hope to understand.
"But what I don't understand is why you separate Christ from God."
I think the Holy Trinity is a more difficult comcept than many may realize. I myself often wondered why our Lord would need to pray to Himself in the Garden of Gethsemane. The closest to an answer I've personally come to is that such is part of something too complex for our Lord's children to understand entirely.
... from our Lord and what came from his own personal reasoning. But again, since he didn't always do so, coupled with the fact he wasn't perfect, it would (IMHO) be a mistake to (when he did not make this distinction) simply assume everything he said was neccessarily or entirely our Lord's will.
...Not intended "...from the beginning." So we're left to ask how much of Mosaic Law that was not addressed in the Gospels actually comes from our Lord and how much came from Moses himself.
Your videos are always awesome and on target!! I'm gay and christian and I don't believe in taking the bible literally. I believe it's time for religion to be inclusive as it was meant to originally be. It's time for it to evolve fully and catch up with the rest of us. I get hate from the gay community because I'm gay and christian and that hurts. I know me, and I'm going to be the person God made me to be!
I think hate crimes are worth fighting against and Christians should know better.. Being gay is not a crime nor should anyone hate u for acting femenin, however i do feel a man having sex with another man is immoral.
"I think hate crimes are worth fighting against and Christians should know better.. Being gay is not a crime nor should anyone hate u for acting femenin, however i do feel a man having sex with another man is immoral."
While i don't neccessarily agree with the last part of this statement under all circumstances, it's FAR more important to have the understanding, respect and compassion for others and their beliefs you yourself have shown VERY well. :)

God is sooo good. don't listen to our "Christians" brosthers & sisters that have condemned you! God is love! :) and God is not the people that have persecuted you. Ignorance exists among all groups. -God Bless and get the book on amazon!
"Amico Mio" Bobby Griffiths' (Prayers for Bobby) lover/boyfriend of long ago here, wishing to give you the "Shout Out" you so well deserve! What's most remarkable about what you've said here my friend, is that over the coarse of the years I've actually witnessed these sentiments of yours become "The Majority" view!
May G-D Bless You For This!
Grazie Mille!
Il Suo Nuovo Amico Per Sempre! (Your New Friend Always)
I'm going to begin to sound redundant so all I can say is this argument that the Bible may accept homosexual anything just does t match up with what it says. It reminds me of the rebellious spirit, or the goat, as scripture says. Trying to do the salad bar Christianity thing. Having some of this, but passing on that. So the essence is just another rebellious nature toward God.
"It reminds me of the rebellious spirit, or the goat, as scripture says. Trying to do the salad bar Christianity thing. Having some of this, but passing on that. So the essence is just another rebellious nature toward God."
The "salad bar" or "buffet" has probably existed since the dawn of organized religion. Many may select based mainly on what they believe our Lord says, while others try to take control believing they know best for EVERYONE what is to be served ans what is to be withheld.
Clay, backing up a bit. Jesus overturned lots of Jewish law because he was the new way to God. The Jews had became too "religious" (useless practices). I dint have anything more to say other than what all I have already said but what has been on my mind the most is your response that we MAY be mistranslating the books of the Bible and that bothers me. I feel that it's extremely dangerous to say monogamous gay men can have a relationship. I don't read that God would bless that.
"...what has been on my mind the most is your response that we MAY be mistranslating the books of the Bible and that bothers me."
Have you seen Jerby's other vid: "Why Gays CAN Be Christians?" It might be helpful. And if scripture were not periodically reviewed, beliefs such as the stars and moon moving around the earth as percieved from Joshua 10:12-14 and Psalms 19:1-6 may have persisted much longer. As to your other point, the Bible says nothing about momogamous SG relationships,... (Cont.)
@clay56 clay you seem awesome i been reading the conversation btw you and ChrisKaliber and it's was quite intriguing. i like how you both had an intelligent conversation and didnt just argue & curse like a lot of ppl do when it gets to controversial topics. especially religion. Jesus rocks. stay strong. stay gay and most of all stay CHRISTIAN! :)
"i like how you both had an intelligent conversation and didnt just argue & curse like a lot of ppl do when it gets to controversial topics. especially religion."
Yes, I DO wish there were more posters like Chris who did not mix dissent with disrespect and antagonism.
@clay56 1 of 3 He stated that it was widely held that their "sin" was in fact a great one in Ancient Mesopotamia, the sin of being inhospitable towards "Strangers"! He could see that I was slightly agitated, and he gently patted my hand and said in front of the others " No Blaine they weren't punished for butt f***ing"!
"Amico Mio" Bobby Griffiths' (Prayers for Bobby) lover/boyfriend of old here, just wishing to express that contemporary scholarship out the Nations' great "Divinity Schools and Seminaries" is quite revealing! An Episcopal Priest with a Doctorate in Theology from the Parrish where I worship was conducting a "Bible Study" class where he shared the "Modern Take" on the Sodom and Gomorrah tale out of "Genesis"!
Where do you read that He would condemn it? And IF it were a sin, where is it said to be a mortal sin? I myself am fearful for gay Christian opponents who would condemn such relationships in our Lord's name since such actions may place them most in need of His forgiveness. But Im also optomistic since our Lord's forgiveness is in reach when we ask it for ourselves and EACH OTHER.
You can't be both, neither should you be, being homosexual should leave you open-minded and recieving the message of god's hypocrisy. You can't say "I deserve equality but ____ is still going to hell" That is what all too many African-Americans did in the California prop 19 vote. Despite their previous oppresion (which was religiously justified, 1 Peter 2:18 Titus 2:9-10), they had the mentaility that they were equal in the eyes of god, but homosexuals were not.
3rd reply, sorry. In response to what you have said to me and the other guy about the scripture "could very well may be misinterpreted" that's scary ground to test and as stable as wet paper.
"In response to what you have said to me and the other guy about the scripture "could very well may be misinterpreted" that's scary ground to test and as stable as wet paper."
Perhaps so, yet what is just as if not more scary is to NOT examinine scripture from time to time, and simply assume an accepted interpetation is true when it may not be. Otherwise, the belief that the stars and sun moved round the earth as suggested in Psalms 19:1-6 and Joshua 10:12-14 may have persisted much longer.
"Oops, I posted too early." No problem. "I wanted to ask you what kinds of different gay relationships you mentioned."
Mainly the kind in which the Bible is silent such as monogamous loving relationships, not the least of which is marriage. All sexual intimacy is considered sin in the NT. But to say our Lord prohibits same gender marriage simply because it's not mentioned is probably presuming too much on his part.
Sorry I was away for a while clay. I see you are having 2 conversations now so I hope it doesn't get confusing. Your last response was about killing kids and crotch grabbing. While those would be harsh punishments there is still the essence of doing wrong and punishment, which simply say don't do those things. That still relates to the homosexual issue of it being a sin
"While those would be harsh punishments there is still the essence of doing wrong and punishment, which simply say don't do those things. That still relates to the homosexual issue of it being a sin."
Most now would not only consider a woman grabbing her husband's attacker by the groin not sin but would probably applaud such an act of defense. It could be one reason Christ challenged and even overturned certain Mosaic Laws such as certain dietary restrictions and divorce.
How it's been interpeted could well be, regardless of how long that interpetation has been accepted or by however many accept it.
"Dont you believe in the bible?"
Evidently not in every way you do. You're questioning my Christianity on a SINGLE issue almost as if your personal view and our Lord's will were neccessarily and entirely one and the same without proof of such. "Blessings to you."
@clay56, now your are just bullshiting me. You are telling me even scripture is wrong?! How are you christian? Dont you believe in the bible? Respond when you are ready to give a good answer to my questions. Blessings to you.
I'm not seeing how your last responses hold any weight. It's called the "book of ages" for a reason. What was good for His people then is good for His people now, and will be for them in the future. Gods relationship model was put in place by His first two human creations.
"What was good for His people then is good for His people now, and will be for them in the future."
So children should be put to death for cursing their parents as stated in Lev. 20:9? And women should be dismembered for grabbing their husband's attacker by the groin as commanded by Deu. 25:11-12? What doesn't hold weight are the verses gay Christian opponents quote because they DON'T address all types of same gender relationships. So most simply fill the gap with their PERSONAL view.
But God still loves us all regardless of our sin. That doesn't mean we can keep our ways. I as a straight male can't have a life of God and unwed sex. Fornication and homosexuality are equally regarded as sin in the eyes of God.
"I as a straight male can't have a life of God and unwed sex. Fornication and homosexuality are equally regarded as sin in the eyes of God."
All sexual activity is labeled sin in the NT except within (heterosexual) marriage. It says nothing about same gender marriage either way. Thus stating advocacy of marriage for one orientation means marriage for another is devinely prohibited is presuming too much.
Jesus said those who have seen Him have seen the Father. God said plenty about homosexuality being sinful, shameful, and not warranted. Christ did not speak about murder and that doesn't mean we can commit such an act. I believe that's trying to hard to find loopholes in an effort to live how one wants and not accept the printed words that are clear. Homosexulity is a sin. It's mentioned in both old and new testaments.
Actually He did in Matt. 19:18. And nearly all the verses you attribute to our Lord seeming to address homosexuality are increasingly believed to be in refrence to prostitution and pegan orgy. Neither of which is reflective of all homosexuals. You're entitled to your "loophole" opinion eventhough there are different interpetations of the Bible. ONLY our Lord can know which are correct or more so.
@clay56 That's my exact point. Jesus didn't have to say "DO NOT MURDER" he took it a step back and said don't even be angry. So how can someone even believe that while the other verses are in place saying clearly that fornication, homosexuality, adultery and all of the same types of sin cut from the same stone could be even close to misunderstanding? It's amazing to me out of all the things God doesn't want us to do that translation was probably wrong just on the gay thing.
"That's my exact point. Jesus didn't have to say "DO NOT MURDER"... "
By this Im guessing you mean that eventhough He mentioned murder that He didn't have to. But the problem again is that all forms of sexual intimacy are considered sin outside of marriage in the NT. Nowhere is same gender marriage mentioned, so many gay Christian opponents add it to their personal list of sins, failing to realize they're on a slippery slope of their own by calling something sin that may in fact NOT be.
@clay56 Well there lies the problem. This or that "MAY NOT" It's being tossed up in the air. Satan began personal interpretation of the Bible. Gen 3 1-7....."Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden?" I don't think homosexuality is something to embrace and all of what's being taught otherwise I'm seeing as Satan being his crafty self. I'm not at all here to condemn. Just know that while reading any of this.
What difference does it make if an animal can consent? That's what the person finds natural. What if they are attracted to children? It's still immoral, it's still sin. The bible makes it clear that homosexuality, fornication, and the like is sin and detestable to God.
I find it interesting homosexuality is the one sin people fight for. Should we have adulterers rights? Pick any sin. Do we need to defend any others? Homosexuals can be Chrisitans, no sin is unforgivable but there needs to be a lifestyle change and the former person needs to be left at the feet of Jesus.
I've read gay people saying we need to define "natural" as the Bible talks of what God finds natural. They say it means what is natural to the reader. So if I find it natural to be attracted to a man (and I am man myself) then that's ok. Where does that stop? What if someone finds animals attractive? That's just plain wrong.
"So if I find it natural to be attracted to a man (and I am man myself) then that's ok. Where does that stop? What if someone finds animals attractive?"
Unlike two adult humans, animals can't give legal consent, nor too arguably do they have the same devine consideration as people as Christ showed sending deamons pocessing a man into a group of pigs. And we could also err too much to the side of caution and go to far the other way by forbidding women to speak or teach as the Bible commands.
"What difference does it make if an animal can consent?"
Consent is VITAL in any relationship especially marriage.
"What if they are attracted to children?"
Again a consent issue, which is why there is legal age of consent. And someone attracted to children of the same gender is NO more a reflection of all homosexuals than someone attracted to those of different gender are to all heterosexuals.
Wow. There a lit of twisted views on homosexuality and Christianity. First, gays NEED Christ. To say they can't be Chrisitan is wrong. God loves all people, but hates our sin. Homosexuality is a sin like any other. It's clearly laid out in the Bible what God considers holy and unholy. He created man and woman to be his company.
"It's clearly laid out in the Bible what God considers holy and unholy. He created man and woman to be his company."
Yes, the Bible advocates heterosexuality in Genesis and the Gospels, but says nothing in those passages about homosexuality. To state the advocacy for one orientation MUST mean the devine opposition of the other is probably stating too much on our Lord's behalf.
@clay56, question if you go to church if you are a Christian for you are doubting the apostles. Paul writes what the Holy spirit instruct him to write. What he said in Romans 1:26-27 was no because he hated gays but because the Holy spirit instructed him to do so. If you try to mix up scripture to your liking then i must say your wrong. It is there my friend, God loves the Gays because they are people but he doesnt love what they do. Give me a bible verse were Gay marrage or etc is valid.
"If you try to mix up scripture to your liking then i must say your wrong. It is there my friend,..."
An view of scripture widely accepted for centures by many like Rom. 1:24-28 is NOT neccessarily the correct view. For centuries many believed the sun and stars moved around the earth because of a misinterpetation of Psalms 19:46 and Joshua 10:24. Some churches still wrongly teach that Mary Magdalene was the prostitute because of a misreading of passages in Luke Chapt. seven and eight.
And had the participants mentioned by Paul been UNwed and engaged in heterosexual activity, would their actions have been less "vile?" Would the acts have been used in the condemnation of all heterosexual relationships? The answer is of course an all too likely NO. Such is the sad double standard many hold of the different orientations.
I think it is impossible to be a christian and hate gays. To hate gays would be the total opposite of how Jesus taught us how to live. Jesus did not come to the world to condemn the world; but to save it. John 3:17
It's funny that the extreme right and the extreme left agree that it's impossible to be gay and Christian. Seems like a good litmus test. Anyone who believes it's impossible is too ignorant and closed-minded to engage in conversation. :)
thanks so much for making this video! i have a gay friend who's christian, and i'll show him this video. he'll feel a lot better after watching it :D :D
I myself am never more prayerful for the non-Christian, agnostic or athiest than I am the fellow Christian who second guesses our Lord's will on matters of ultimate judgement.
@clay56 Thats right 1 Corin 6:9-11 Being gay you CAN NOT get to heaven!!! so its straight to hell......usless they repent from there sins and turn back to GOD, and living a life for GOD......being straight!!!
"Thats right 1 Corin 6:9-11 Being gay you CAN NOT get to heaven!!! so its straight to hell......usless they repent from there sins and turn back to GOD, and living a life for GOD......being straight!!!"
1 Cor. hinges on two Greek terms. One is believed to be in refrence to prostitution, the other is Paul's own fusion of two words, the meaning of which has been argued for centuries. So it's used in ignorance in the condemnation of all same gender relationships when it DOESN'T speak to all.
I think more straight Christians need to really read the bible, not just what their pastor tells them it say's and step in to defend our gay brothers and sisters. You'll notice Christ said nothing condemning homosexual's, so if Christ didn't say it but your pastor does, can you really believe what the pastor is saying? Are they so pious and arrogant as to believe they no more of God's will than Christ? Great video.
I can see THIS channel is already a hot bed of anger! The bible is a tough book and it DEFINITLY devides all kinds of people....Just like JESUS said it would. Whoa.
I think Christianity is one of the greatest (if not the greatest) scorn and sin against humanity, against our intelligence, against reason, against science.. I dont agree with their lifestyle and it worries me that people who allegedly live according to the morals of an immoral, ambiguous and contradicting book might one day commit genocide in the good old-fashioned Bible way.. So, yes, I do believe that groups with irrational and delusional beliefs should be controlled.
"why are christians attacked so much about being anti-gay where in muslim countries you are killed?"
It's important to make note that not all Christians oppose all same gender relationships. Those who do in the western world make up the greater number and are generally more vocal in their opposition toward homosexuality, making rebuke and resentment toward them by gays and gay advocates at some point inevitable.
Little pathetic emotionally unstabled thing. He syas that there are christian gays. Love your neighbou doesn't include what you do in your badroom. Your poblem is that you are mixing sex-life and social life. Gays, Bi-sexuals, as another perverts are the abomination in the sight of God. It is interesting to read in Wikipedia, how in early 70-s in order this gay sickness to progress they choose on of the ways is to portreit gays as persecuted peaceful people, so that society accept them.
"It is interesting to read in Wikipedia, how in early 70-s in order this gay sickness to progress they choose on of the ways is to portreit gays as persecuted peaceful people,..."
Yes Im glad to know Wiki has tightened up their security a bit so not just ANYONE can get on site and add to and change it's info. Still (at BEST) not the most reliable source though.
"Gays, Bi-sexuals, as another perverts are the abomination in the sight of God."
The source stating this says the same for farmers sowing their fields with two different seeds and making clothing from two different fabrics.
"It is interesting to read in Wikipedia, how in early 70-s in order this gay sickness to progress they choose on of the ways is to portreit gays as persecuted peaceful people."
Wikipedia is almost always an interesting if none to reliable read.
I surely do appreciate your input on this subject. For years I drank that same pius kool-aid and I apologize to you and all who believe in Christ and accept Christ and are gay. God Bless!
"In the book of Titus, we are told: They profess that they know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."
Not only does this say nothing to homosexuality, a fradulent person could exploit. the epistle to discredit someone speaking the truth. "The first and last message of Christ was a message of REPENTANCE. TURN OR BURN, REPENT, OR PERISH."
Christ said nothing of homosexuality. It doesn't keep others from speaking as if He did.
"If there is such a thing as a gay christian, then we can conclude that there are murdering christians, lesbian christians, lying christians, prostitute christians, whoremongering christians, stealing christians."
There are both gay AND hetero Christians who don't believe all homosexuality to be a sin and that acts of love aren't analogous with violent acts of murder or theft. And prostitutes are no more reflective of all homosexuals than they are of all heterosexuals.

"(1 Corinthians 6:9, 10)"
The parts of this passage many believe are in reference to homosexuality revolve around two Greek terms. The first has a number of meanings. The second is generally accepted as Paul's own fusion of the Greek words for "man" and "bed." Since Paul didn't specify what he meant by the first term or even define the second, it's uncertain he was referring to homosexuality at all MUCH LESS all same gender relationships.

He'll only "clean" those who allow it. This is difficult in the case of people who call something sin which may well not be in VERY possible violation of the Nineth Commandment. Too many cling to it needing to believe it as being true to justify what is slowly being looked on as a form of bigotry.

"Why Gays CAN Be Christians"
clay56 4 months ago
"As for Paul, he didn't speak on his own accord. It was God's message he was preaching."
This wasn't always the case. For instance, he stated he was passing down a command from our Lord for women to be silent in Church (1 Cor. 14:34-37). Yet he states his advice for widows and the unmarried comes from his own wisdom (1 Cor. 7:25). He doesn't make this distinction either way in many other verses such as 1 Cor. 6:9.
clay56 4 months ago
@clay56 I see your argument.

The reply to this is in his other vid: "Why Gays CAN Be Christians.
"I listen to Christ. His Word is the Spoken Truth."
And He said nothing about homosexuality which is why stating He condemned it is TOO arguably stating too much on His part.
clay56 5 months ago
@clay56 But Christ is God. The Bible is the Word of God. Therefore is it not the Word of Christ?
Here's a better question: What do you see the Bible as? Just so we're on the same page.
GoldenFlither15 5 months ago
"But Christ is God. The Bible is the Word of God. Therefore is it not the Word of Christ."
Christ did not agree with all of Mosaic Law which is in the Bible. He overturned a number of laws, most notably divorce in Matt. 19:8-9, stating it was wrong "from the beginning." This leaves laws such as homosexuality that He didn't address in question. And while I believe the Bible to be inspired by our Lord who is perfect, He has, for reasons ONLY He can fully understand left its copying... (Cont.)
clay56 5 months ago
@clay56 But Corinthans is of the New Testament. I understand His changes such as "an eye for an eye" to "turn the other cheek". "An eye for an eye" and the permittance of divorce were both of the Old Testament. However, He condemned homosexuality in the NEW Testament.
Also, He places homosexuality among things such as extortion, theft and adultery (which He says those who divorce their husbands or wives are committing). That's pretty powerful and really depicts His contempt for it.
GoldenFlither15 5 months ago
"But Corinthans is of the New Testament"
The teachings of 1st Corinthians are that of the apostle Paul and not of Christ. I believe you're referring to 1 Cor. 6:9 which Jerby in the above vid addresses in his vid: "Why Gays CAN Be Christians."
"Also, He places homosexuality among things such as extortion, theft and adultery..."
Christ is not recorded as having said anything about homosexuality. This again is from Paul's teachings in 1 Cor. 6:9, of which Jerby's other vid may be of help.
clay56 4 months ago
@clay56 That is what I'm referring to, yes.

And in any event, the meaning of two terms,,, (Cont.)
clay56 4 months ago
@clay56 So then why record it as part of the Bible? The New Testament is not just about Christ's life and death. Everything that follows is of equal significance and value.
See, it seems as though you subconsciously regard God and Christ as two different beings. They're one in the same. As for Paul, he didn't speak on his own accord. It was God's message he was preaching. And if Christ is the incarnation of God...it's not that hard a puzzle.
GoldenFlither15 4 months ago
"See, it seems as though you subconsciously regard God and Christ as two different beings. They're one in the same."
The actual question is if our Lord whether in Spirit or in the incarnation of Christ forbade all same gender relationships.

While i don't neccessarily agree with the last part of this statement under all circumstances, it's FAR more important to have the understanding, respect and compassion for others and their beliefs you yourself have shown VERY well. :)

(Cont.)

Part 2
...Not the least of which is marriage.
"I don't read that God would bless that."
Take care.
clay56 7 months ago
You can't be both, neither should you be, being homosexual should leave you open-minded and recieving the message of god's hypocrisy. You can't say "I deserve equality but ____ is still going to hell" That is what all too many African-Americans did in the California prop 19 vote. Despite their previous oppresion (which was religiously justified, 1 Peter 2:18 Titus 2:9-10), they had the mentaility that they were equal in the eyes of god, but homosexuals were not.

But to say our Lord prohibits same gender marriage simply because it's not mentioned is probably presuming too much on his part.
clay56 8 months ago
Sorry I was away for a while clay. I see you are having 2 conversations now so I hope it doesn't get confusing. Your last response was about killing kids and crotch grabbing. While those would be harsh punishments there is still the essence of doing wrong and punishment, which simply say don't do those things. That still relates to the homosexual issue of it being a sin
ChrisKaliber 8 months ago
"While those would be harsh punishments there is still the essence of doing wrong and punishment, which simply say don't do those things. That still relates to the homosexual issue of it being a sin."
Most now would not only consider a woman grabbing her husband's attacker by the groin not sin but would probably applaud such an act of defense. It could be one reason Christ challenged and even overturned certain Mosaic Laws such as certain dietary restrictions and divorce.
clay56 8 months ago
"You are telling me even scripture is wrong?!"
And to you.
clay56 8 months ago
@clay56, now your are just bullshiting me. You are telling me even scripture is wrong?! How are you christian? Dont you believe in the bible? Respond when you are ready to give a good answer to my questions. Blessings to you.
MrUncleruckus1 8 months ago
I'm not seeing how your last responses hold any weight. It's called the "book of ages" for a reason. What was good for His people then is good for His people now, and will be for them in the future. Gods relationship model was put in place by His first two human creations.
ChrisKaliber 8 months ago
"What was good for His people then is good for His people now, and will be for them in the future."
So children should be put to death for cursing their parents as stated in Lev. 20:9? And women should be dismembered for grabbing their husband's attacker by the groin as commanded by Deu. 25:11-12? What doesn't hold weight are the verses gay Christian opponents quote because they DON'T address all types of same gender relationships. So most simply fill the gap with their PERSONAL view.
clay56 8 months ago
But God still loves us all regardless of our sin. That doesn't mean we can keep our ways. I as a straight male can't have a life of God and unwed sex. Fornication and homosexuality are equally regarded as sin in the eyes of God.

"I as a straight male can't have a life of God and unwed sex. Fornication and homosexuality are equally regarded as sin in the eyes of God."
All sexual activity is labeled sin in the NT except within (heterosexual) marriage. It says nothing about same gender marriage either way. Thus stating advocacy of marriage for one orientation means marriage for another is devinely prohibited is presuming too much.
clay56 8 months ago
Jesus said those who have seen Him have seen the Father. God said plenty about homosexuality being sinful, shameful, and not warranted. Christ did not speak about murder and that doesn't mean we can commit such an act. I believe that's trying to hard to find loopholes in an effort to live how one wants and not accept the printed words that are clear. Homosexulity is a sin. It's mentioned in both old and new testaments.

"Christ did not speak about murder..."
ONLY our Lord can know which are correct or more so.
clay56 8 months ago
@clay56 That's my exact point. Jesus didn't have to say "DO NOT MURDER" he took it a step back and said don't even be angry. So how can someone even believe that while the other verses are in place saying clearly that fornication, homosexuality, adultery and all of the same types of sin cut from the same stone could be even close to misunderstanding? It's amazing to me out of all the things God doesn't want us to do that translation was probably wrong just on the gay thing.
ChrisKaliber 8 months ago
"That's my exact point. Jesus didn't have to say "DO NOT MURDER"... "
By this Im guessing you mean that eventhough He mentioned murder that He didn't have to. But the problem again is that all forms of sexual intimacy are considered sin outside of marriage in the NT. Nowhere is same gender marriage mentioned, so many gay Christian opponents add it to their personal list of sins, failing to realize they're on a slippery slope of their own by calling something sin that may in fact NOT be.
clay56 8 months ago
@clay56 Well there lies the problem. This or that "MAY NOT" It's being tossed up in the air. Satan began personal interpretation of the Bible. Gen 3 1-7....."Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden?" I don't think homosexuality is something to embrace and all of what's being taught otherwise I'm seeing as Satan being his crafty self. I'm not at all here to condemn. Just know that while reading any of this.
ChrisKaliber 8 months ago
"Satan began personal interpretation of the Bible. Gen 3 1-7....."Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden?""
Actually that was LONG before the Bible existed as we know it. And your own view is itself a personal interpetation regardless of how many share it.
"I'm seeing as Satan being his crafty self."
Christ Himself was said to be Satan by those trying to discredit Him. Many who make this accusation could themselves be most under Satan's influence.

What difference does it make if an animal can consent? That's what the person finds natural. What if they are attracted to children? It's still immoral, it's still sin. The bible makes it clear that homosexuality, fornication, and the like is sin and detestable to God.
ChrisKaliber 8 months ago
I find it interesting homosexuality is the one sin people fight for. Should we have adulterers rights? Pick any sin. Do we need to defend any others? Homosexuals can be Chrisitans, no sin is unforgivable but there needs to be a lifestyle change and the former person needs to be left at the feet of Jesus.
ChrisKaliber 8 months ago
"I find it interesting homosexuality is the one sin people fight for."
This is largely because an increasing number Christians don't consider all such relationships sin.
"Should we have adulterers rights?"
Unlike homosexuality, Christ addressed adultery.
"...there needs to be a lifestyle change and the former person needs to be left at the feet of Jesus."
Not all gays have the same lifestyle. To say Christ condemns it all when He said nothing about it is presuming too much on His part.
clay56 8 months ago
I've read gay people saying we need to define "natural" as the Bible talks of what God finds natural. They say it means what is natural to the reader. So if I find it natural to be attracted to a man (and I am man myself) then that's ok. Where does that stop? What if someone finds animals attractive? That's just plain wrong.
ChrisKaliber 8 months ago
"So if I find it natural to be attracted to a man (and I am man myself) then that's ok. Where does that stop? What if someone finds animals attractive?"
Unlike two adult humans, animals can't give legal consent, nor too arguably do they have the same devine consideration as people as Christ showed sending deamons pocessing a man into a group of pigs. And we could also err too much to the side of caution and go to far the other way by forbidding women to speak or teach as the Bible commands.
clay56 8 months ago
"What difference does it make if an animal can consent?"
Consent is VITAL in any relationship especially marriage.
"What if they are attracted to children?"
Again a consent issue, which is why there is legal age of consent. And someone attracted to children of the same gender is NO more a reflection of all homosexuals than someone attracted to those of different gender are to all heterosexuals.
clay56 8 months ago
ChrisKaliber 8 months ago
"It's clearly laid out in the Bible what God considers holy and unholy. He created man and woman to be his company."
Yes, the Bible advocates heterosexuality in Genesis and the Gospels, but says nothing in those passages about homosexuality. To state the advocacy for one orientation MUST mean the devine opposition of the other is probably stating too much on our Lord's behalf.
clay56 8 months ago
Where in the bible were homosexual acts committed and deemed acceptable by God?
CrossBearingServant 8 months ago
@clay56, question if you go to church if you are a Christian for you are doubting the apostles. Paul writes what the Holy spirit instruct him to write. What he said in Romans 1:26-27 was no because he hated gays but because the Holy spirit instructed him to do so. If you try to mix up scripture to your liking then i must say your wrong. It is there my friend, God loves the Gays because they are people but he doesnt love what they do. Give me a bible verse were Gay marrage or etc is valid.
MrUncleruckus1 8 months ago
"If you try to mix up scripture to your liking then i must say your wrong. It is there my friend,..."
An view of scripture widely accepted for centures by many like Rom. 1:24-28 is NOT neccessarily the correct view. For centuries many believed the sun and stars moved around the earth because of a misinterpetation of Psalms 19:46 and Joshua 10:24. Some churches still wrongly teach that Mary Magdalene was the prostitute because of a misreading of passages in Luke Chapt. seven and eight.
clay56 8 months ago
@clay56, Read Romans 1:26-27. Friend it cannot get clearer than that.
MrUncleruckus1 8 months ago
"Read Romans 1:26-27. Friend.,,,"
Read it LONG ago.
And had the participants mentioned by Paul been UNwed and engaged in heterosexual activity, would their actions have been less "vile?" Would the acts have been used in the condemnation of all heterosexual relationships? The answer is of course an all too likely NO. Such is the sad double standard many hold of the different orientations.
clay56 8 months ago
I think it is impossible to be a christian and hate gays. To hate gays would be the total opposite of how Jesus taught us how to live. Jesus did not come to the world to condemn the world; but to save it. John 3:17
Coachrob36 8 months ago

1 Cor. hinges on two Greek terms. One is believed to be in refrence to prostitution, the other is Paul's own fusion of two words, the meaning of which has been argued for centuries. So it's used in ignorance in the condemnation of all same gender relationships when it DOESN'T speak to all.

You'll notice Christ said nothing condemning homosexual's, so if Christ didn't say it but your pastor does, can you really believe what the pastor is saying? Are they so pious and arrogant as to believe they no more of God's will than Christ? Great video.

It's important to make note that not all Christians oppose all same gender relationships. Those who do in the western world make up the greater number and are generally more vocal in their opposition toward homosexuality, making rebuke and resentment toward them by gays and gay advocates at some point inevitable.

There are both gay AND hetero Christians who don't believe all homosexuality to be a sin and that acts of love aren't analogous with violent acts of murder or theft. And prostitutes are no more reflective of all homosexuals than they are of all heterosexuals.
