For two years I was a KDHX volunteer and I ended up very displeased with the experience. Very uncomfortably stolid businesslike environment; I remember the volunteer coordinator back then crash coursing me in the radio console and the staff running the place like each was a JOB, not a labor of love. The staff ran the place like a DMV office. My interest in learning more about radio was secondary to staff fundraising and programmer butt-slapping.
