The Italian police did a terrible job investigating this murder, dropping evidence, passing evidence to one another, using the same tweezers, cross-contaminating everything at the crime scene, not changing gloves and not wearing caps to cover their hair. The prosecution built up a case based on circumstantial evidence, which should have been dismissed as soon as hard DNA evidence pointed to Rudy Guede. A terrible miscarriage of justice.

The Italian police did a terrible job investigating this murder, dropping evidence, passing evidence to one another, using the same tweezers, cross-contaminating everything at the crime scene, not changing gloves and not wearing caps to cover their hair. The prosecution built up a case based on circumstantial evidence, which should have been dismissed as soon as hard DNA evidence pointed to Rudy Guede. A terrible miscarriage of justice.

If their had also been bleach at the actual murder scene then it would be circumstantial since her buying bleach wouldn't neccessarly mean that same bleach had been used at the scene, but there was no traces of bleach found at the scene and no evidence that she was there. I suspect the state dept. contacted the Italian government. Requested that they get a chance to see the evidence. This of course made the Italians nervous. So they just released her, because the evidence was not up to par. They only convicted her because she is an American. She was charged in 2007, and Bush was still in office. It's funny that in the US people get executed to death without any evidence whatsoever, while Amanda Knox, with tons and tons of evidence against her, both forensic and corroborating evidence, is found not guilty on appeal. This is a great disgrace to human justice. Totally unbelievable. I guess we should begin questioning the Italian criminal system.

Guede did it. He is the only one who left dozens of samples of DNA, hair and skin in the room, as well as his semen in Meredith's vagina. Rudy Guede also had a history of break and enters and theft. He needed money to pay his rent, broke in to the apartment shared by Meredith, Amanda and two other girls. He ransacked the place, and decided to use the bathroom, when he was surprised by Meredith's arrival. He attacked her, and killed her in a robbery gone bad. Knox & Sollecito are innocent.
